Good Morning Cat Ba Bus

Excellent- the tour guide was superb

The pickup was delayed and the pickup driver was speeding up to the catch up the bus while he was consuming beer

Poor communication, journey was half an hour longer than advertised on 12go.

The drivers make a lots of noice during the night and speak very loud. They don't allow customers to rest properly

Decent price, nice limo and driver, rest stop, pick up from hotel if required. Smooth journey back to Hanoi from Cat Ba.

Great service - exactly as booked, would book again

A regular coach. Stopped at an overpriced souvenir super market and foolish me bought stuff.

All was alright.

Good Morning cat Ba itself was Great with a well informed and organized operateur, the First Bus from sapa to Hanoi with sao viet

On time clean bus and excellent driver

We booked the cat ba to Hanoi bus. We booked a bus that stated departure at 08:30 and arrival at 11:30, however when we arrived to the pick up point it turned out the bus doesn’t actually arrive until 12:30. A bit misleading when trying to coordinate timings for onward travel.

They switched from booked bus ferry bus transfer to bus speedboat bus by themselves. The arrival in Hanoi were more than 1 hour delayed. They took us to a very good motorway service station

Very smooth and easy

Everything went smoothly from start to finish. The departure was perfectly on time, and we were given a bottle of water on the bus. There was also a 20-minute break during the journey. We also had a very friendly guide who accompanied us throughout the whole journey. He explained everything clearly, told us about each stage of the trip and always let us know what we would be doing next, which made the whole experience very easy and stress-free. The transfer to Cat Ba was very well organised, including the speedboat/ferry to the island. What pleasantly surprised me the most was that all passengers were then dropped off directly at their hotels — I honestly wasn’t expecting that at all! I was very pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. Everything was well organised, comfortable and punctual. I highly recommend this service and will definitely use it again whenever I travel in Asia.

Perfect : on time and pick up at the hôtel

Leo? Our "guide" was very communicative in both Vietnamese and English for this heavily tourist route, giving updates about travel time, mode, and distance.

Picked us up from the hotel and dropped us off at the hotel, clean and comfortable.

Everything was well organized, the staff friendly and the Trip pleasent.

Perfect Ride

The 15 minutes stop in between was not necessary. A tourist nap store. In total a good and quick and comfy trip.

Good service and good driver

Great Trip. Well organized. There was a major storm that caused the ferries to be stopped and their communication was great and they organized another method to get to catba Island and made sure everyone was taken care of. Also the buses were clean and comfortable.

Comfortable bus with plenty of toilet breaks. Very organised. The only downside is the long break between each bus.

Bus was supposed to leave at 5pm, driver sent message at 12:30pm changing it to 4:30. Then called me three hours later to change it to 4:15pm. I was out on a boat and had to rush back to not miss the bus since it was the last one for the day. We waited for 30 minutes to get on the ferry because we left so early.

I've booked bus and ferry and got bus and speedboat.

Professional throughout. Operator proactively contacted us via WhatsApp and is very responsive. Everything organized well and on time.

The address given is incorrect- it says 128 should be 122 - we waited in the wrong place and nearly missed the bus

Even though we booked the bus at

We were scheduled to arrive in Mai Chau at 3:00 PM, but we didn’t arrive until around 5:30 PM, 2.5 hours later than scheduled. This was a major issue because we only had one day in Mai Chau, and the sun sets around 6:00 PM. As a result, we barely had any time to see or enjoy the place. We essentially lost the only afternoon we had there because of the delay. We understand that delays can sometimes happen, but a 2.5-hour delay is unacceptable when the arrival time is an important part of the itinerary. We booked this trip expecting to make the most of our limited time in Mai Chau, and unfortunately that didn’t happen. Very disappointing experience and definitely not what we paid for.

After receiving exceptional service on all of our transport whilst in Vietnam for the past month, this journey was disappointing. We paid extra for a 3hr “luxury” bus and ferry, but we were put on a standard bus and took the speedboat instead of the ferry. The journey ended up taking over 4 hours instead of 3 and the bus was so busy that as a couple we were unable to sit next to each other. We supposedly arrived late due to the weather, but I am struggling to see how the weather impacted the time of the journey as we left everywhere on time and did not have to make any diversions as far as I am aware. I instead think that the trip was falsely advertised to us - we would have chosen the cheaper option if we knew that the journey would have been like this. We did not receive the trip we booked.

Communication before the trip was good. Sleeper bus was comfortable. Water and wifi. From Hanoi to ferry and from ferry to cat ba city centre was a normal bus. Regular seats. Not too bad, were only short trips.

Great! Super smooth. Took a bit longer than expected but that was told at the start.

everything was good

Driver was very friendly, the ride was quick, efficient. They dropped us off by our hotel too.

Changed our bus in Hanoi, first bus driver didn’t inform us about anything, probably because he didn’t speak English, bus had some beeping all night and he also drove pretty fast in bad weather and on winding road, so we couldn’t sleep a lot. But that was another company, as soon as Goodmorning Catba took over, we were informed about every stop, change of vehicles and brought directly to our destination.

I was bit worried after hearing a lot of different things, but it was just great! Communication was excellent, bus was very comfy, driver was superb . Would definitely book again

The buses were late

We booked a limousine + ferry transfer. Instead got 2 tourist buses, speedboat, taxi and to end a speedy and reckless limousine ride to Cao Bang. Not recommended.

Over two hours late, company said they would pick us up from motel then 5 minutes before we were meant to be picked up told us we had to meet them at a location 10omutes away

Easy communication and well organized

The coordination was fine. We got picked from the hotel and drop off at the hotel. Everything was on time. The problem was with the driver. The ride was super dangerous and scary, he drove super fast and not safe at all. We almost crashed more then few times. He should not be a driver!

The trip started well with a nice limousine. However, it took almost two hours to leave Cat Ba because all the passengers had to be picked up from different hotels. We also had to change limousine twice. The first time, we were almost left behind due to poor communication. The second time, we were put on the wrong bus and had to turn back and change vehicles again. Throughout the entire journey, there was a general lack of clear communication from the drivers about what was happening, which made the experience confusing and stressful.

High quality

Nice trip. Very interesting.

The first leg of the journey to Hanoi was fine, but our driver from Hanoi to Cao Bang was terrible - he drove really dangerously the whole way, and the van wasn't in good condition

The organisation was very messy. We had originally booked the 2.30pm bus, but the night before our bus we got a call from the operator telling us that the bus would be delayed and that we had to change our booking timing and there were only 2 timings available (10am or 1.30pm), so we changed to the 1.30pm bus. After changing to that bus which cut short our time in hanoi, the bus still left late at 2.10pm.

I book a transfer from 3 PM and at 2 PM they texted me they want to pick me up right now and otherwise have to cancel the trip. It just doesnt make any sense to me - why was the transfer listed for 3 PM if it's not possible. I booked it a day before.

With Good Morning Cat Ba company the experience was good but the the first part of our trip (from sapa to Hanoi) was with Sao Viet, even though on the website the entire trip was sponsored under the name good morning cat ba. Sao Viet should really improve their safety policy and hire more professional staff . And also provide more transparency regarding the fact that there are two different companies involved.

The bus was great and comfortable but the staff at the office in Sapa was RUDE. No smile no English, nothing. The transfer time in Hanoi was way too long. Hopefully they will learn to be friendly and adjust their schedule so that the trip only takes 8 hours instead of 12.

The bus was nice and the staff was great. But when I booked I chose to be dropped off at my hotel in Hanoï and unfortunately they said that this was not possible and that the office won’t change it on the website. I took this ride especially because I wanted to be dropped off at my hotel, but instead I had to walk. False information!
