Hokkaido Rail Pass Coverage

How to use the Hokkaido Rail Pass?
- Rail Pass can be exchanged only at New Chitose Airport, Sapporo, Hakodate, Shin-Hakodate, Noboribetsu, Asahikawa, Obihiro, Kushiro, and Abashiri stations.
- Please allow enough time to get to the ticket exchange office as it may be crowded.
- Tickets cannot be exchanged separately. If any changes are made, all tickets will be INVALID. The Rail Pass must be canceled and rebooked.
You will receive a confirmed reservation mail with a voucher and a QR code. Please show the voucher and passport at the exchange counters to redeem a Hokkaido Rail Pass.
Passengers must present passports of all ticket users at the designated station (service office) and scan the QR code to redeem physical tickets.
After completing the reservation, please visit the exchange location in person during business hours and present the passports and QR codes of all users to the staff to exchange for actual tickets and rides.
