Wir würden irgendwann gegen 6 Uhr an einem Rastplatz ausgesetzt und auf Vans aufgeteilt. Dies stand nirgend und ich habe nur eine Busfahrt gebucht, welche ohne Vans stattfindet. Mussten aber an dem Rastplatz 1 Stunde auf die Vans warten, dort versuchte man verzweifelt mit uns Profit zu machen ( Getränke, Essen, unnötige Taxifahrten etc.)
Der Vanfahrer für ruppig und unruhig. Schute nebenbei Serien auf dem Handy, kochte sich Kaffee und fing sich sogar an den Bart nebenbei zu rasieren.
Ohne Probleme und Vorkommnisse funktionierte die Fähre.

Auf der Buchungsbestätigung stand als Abfahrtort nicht die Adresse, wo auch der Bus stand. So mussten wir von dem Ort aus, wo wir von unserem Fahrer abgesetzt wurden, noch mal ca. 15 Minuten zum Bus gebracht werden und kamen so fast zu spät. War etwas stressig.

Die Fahrt von Hua Hin nach Surat Thani war bis zur Endhaltestelle in Ordnung. Busfahrt selbst ohne Probleme.
Unangenehm wurde es erst bei der Ankunft. Nach dem Aussteigen durfte man sein Gepäck zunächst nicht direkt mitnehmen, da der Zugang blockiert wurde, während vor Ort Weiterfahrt-Tickets verkauft wurden.
Ich wollte mit Grab in die Stadt fahren (üblicher Preis ca. 100 THB). Zuerst wurden 200 THB verlangt. Nachdem ich erklärt habe, dass Grab nur etwa 100 THB kostet, wurde sofort akzeptiert, dass 100 THB ok sind. Als der Mitarbeiter kurz weg war, habe ich meinen Rucksack selbst genommen.
Danach musste ich noch rund 30 Minuten warten, da zuerst andere Passagiere abgefertigt wurden. Das wirkte unnötig und erzeugte Druck.
Fazit: Fahrt okay, Abwicklung an der Endhaltestelle verbesserungswürdig und nicht besonders kundenfreundlich

Reise von Bangkok nach Ko Lanta: Der komfortable Bus fuhr nur nach Suratthani. Von dort ging es mit 2 Minibusen weiter. Alles in allem hat es geklappt, aber viele Stopps, Wartezeiten, unklare Kommunikation, 2 Stunden Verspätung. Ich würde mir vor der Fahrt eine klare Info wünschen.

Die Abholung in Bangkok verlief pünktlich und der Ablauf wurde kurz erklärt. Die Busfahrt war angenehm, inklusive einer Essenspause auf halber Strecke. Etwas chaotisch wurde es beim Umstieg auf die kleineren Taxis – das Personal wirkte desorientiert und die Ticketvergabe für die Fähre war unübersichtlich. Letztlich hat aber alles geklappt und wir kamen sicher an. Auch der Weitertransport auf Koh Samui war kommunikativ etwas schwierig, aber wir wurden ans Ziel gebracht. Insgesamt okay!

Ich bin angekommen, mehr kann man nicht sagen.
Man hat bei der Buchung keinerlei Informationen erhalten wie die Fahrt abläuft wurde dann früh um 6 Uhr aufgeweckt und musste aussteigen aber es hat keiner so richtig gesagt wo man hinmuss hier wurde man dann auf Kleinbusse aufgeteilt. Dann wurde ich zu einem Art Bahnhof gebracht wo ich dann 3 Stunden warten durfte und bin dann nochmal 1 Stunde mit dem Bus zur eigentlichen Fähre gefahren worden.
Für den Preis okay, aber das nächste Mal nehm ich das Flugzeug

Der Van war komplett überladen und im Bus war die Klimaanlage zu krass hochgestellt, dass man das Gefühl hatte es wären 10 grad im Bus. Man musste sich quasi zudecken. Keine Ahnung was sich der Fahrer dabei gedacht hatte.

Wir sind von Ko Phangan nach Bangkok gefahren. Unterm Strich hat alles gut geklappt. Zunächst drei Stunden Fähre, dann zweimal klapprige Transferbusse bis man im Schlafwagenbus landete. Dieser war sehr komfortabel und gut. Man konnte in den Liegesitzen sehr gut schlafen. Gegen Mitternacht kurzer Halt an einer Garküche (leider nicht an einer der tollen größeren Raststätten). Wir waren eine Stunde früher in Bangkok.
Der Nachtbus ist eine Alternative, um kostengünstig von A nach B zu kommen. Für die Touristen scheint sich hier ein eigenes und gut abgestimmtes System entwickelt zu haben. Persönliche Betreuung oder überschwängliche Freundlichkeit bekommt man für den günstigsten Preis aber nicht. Dennoch eine klare Empfehlung.

Treffpunkt hat alles funktioniert. Nach ca 2 1/2h haben wir nochmal einen Stop gemacht und sind dann durchgefahren. Sitze waren ok gewesen und man konnte auch das Handy laden.

Der Bus kam 45 Minuten zu spät. Wir hatten in Cumpon dreieinhalb Stunden Aufenthalt, nachdem uns der Bus abgesetzt hatte und die Fähre abgelegt hat. Das war im Angebot zunächst so nicht erkenntlich. Tipp für Anfänger: nicht im Bus in der letzten Reihe sitzen, die Sitze lassen sich nicht umlegen.
Bei unserem Zug in Hua Hin ließ sich aufgrund des Tickets nicht erkennen, welcher Bus unserer war. Man muss an jedem Bus fragen, ob er der richtige ist. Das Foto auf dem Ticket hat nichts mit dem wirklichen Bus zu tun.

Fähre kam eine halbe Stunde später an als angegeben. Der Bus war bequem durch die anderen Rezesionen war uns die Wartezeit klar, welche jedoch nicht lang war (ca eine Stunde bis man mit dem Minivan zum Hafen gebracht wurde). An jedem Stopp gab es Steckdosen an welchen man das Handy laden konnte. Einziger Minuspunkt war der nicht vorhandene Stauraum im Bus. Man musste den Rucksack in den Fußraum stellen wodurch viel Platz verloren ging.

Es hat alles einwandfrei geklappt. Klar ist es eine sehr lange und anstrengende Reise, aber der Ablauf funktioniert gut. Leider ist die Kommunikation mit den Angestellten etwas schwierig, da sie davon ausgehen, dass alle über den genauen Ablauf Bescheid wissen. Nach Austausch mit anderen Travellern weiß ich, dass sich der VIP-Bus lohnt zu buchen. Ablauf: Anmeldung - Busfahrt 10h mit drei Zusteige-Stopps, 1h Aufenthalt auf einer Raststation ( 6 a.m.), Shuttle mit Kleinbus zur Fähre (ca. 1,5h), Fähre-Überfahrt (ca. 1,5h)

Hat insgesamt alles gepasst. Im "VIP-Bus" hatte man gut Platz und Wasser/Snacks bekommen. Die Toilette war nicht so nice. Der Bus fuhr bis zu einem kleinen Rastplatz bei Surat Thani. Da hab ich dann eine knappe Stunde gewartet und von da aus ging es mit einem kleineren Van weiter zum Donsak Pier und von da aus mit der Fähre nach Koh Phangan. Die Kommunikation, wann man wo wie lange warten soll, war ok.

Très moyenne vip payée mais avant surat thani éjecté tous des 3 bus partis de Bangkok dans une zone de triage pour différentes destinations attente plus de 1h30 puis van pourri pour sois disant lanta qui partait sans 3 valise laissé sur le trottoir nous avons du le faire arrêter........ arrivés à krabis de nouveau au milieu de rien changement de van avec obligation de payé 200 baths par personne pour nous emmener à l hôtel évidemment pas intéressant pour ceux qui so t près du ce tre ville ....

Our least favourite bus comfort and interior wise in the 2 months we have been travelling. Not enough leg room, bus not in great condition, we did the evening bus which gets you to the port at around 3am rather than parking up and letting you sleep for a few hours at the port on the bus (considering this is our most expensive trip yet) you have to get off and lie on wooden benches at the closed port until the morning.
The boat trip was super bumpy, we don’t get travel sick but had to take tablets and sit outside, everyone inside was vomiting it was like an apocalypse :’)
I think next time we would get a day time bus so we don’t have to sleep on wooden benches at the port.

Bus arrived 1 hour late, we made a stop at a disgusting Restaurant and the toilet was just not usable. The AC dropped water on us. We had way better bus rides in Thailand.

Uncomfortable bus, the seats were not fixed properly. The staff that should have helped people to reach the seat was unfriendly and rude. Despite this, the bus arrived pretty much on time. We did just one stop in a place that was not very well equipped (I experienced also the way back from Bangkok to Koh Phangan and we stopped in a very well equipped area, with many food alternatives that was very close to the place in which this bus stopped).

the trip was nice but they try to overcharge for a leg of the trip I didn't request for. I bought the ticket to Krabi and after I got to surat thani, for the connection, the lady asked where I would go after Krabi and simply told me to pay her 250 for this final leg of the trip. I didn't request this service, didn't ask how much it was, and even after I said "no", she said "then how do you go?". be careful with scams.

I felt I was shuffled about like a bit of cattle. 1st bus was a partybus, not fitted for overnight travel (not even USB charger).
They stopped us at midnight for dinner at a very dodgy place. Filthy, people not welcoming, pushy for sales and overpriced. I didn't eat, too dirty and noodles looked like they had been dead for some time.
Then we had to wait at Surat for next bus for1 hour in the very early hours. And That bus should go for scrap: old, dirty, rickety and A/C leaking all over us.
Ferry was ok luckily, as was the last van to my place, although driver was a tad rude.
NOT a journey I'recommend. Going through Chumpon with Lomphraya is a totally different experience.

It was a bit confusing at the beginning because there was a little information about the ride and how we will proceed after the ferry from koh phangan. But in the end it went pretty smooth. Someone was waiting for us at the exit of the ferry (so it is advised to wear the sticker you got to be recognised). Then with a van we went to a tour office in Surat thani. Here we could buy food and drinks and couls also charge our phone. We waited until 7pm until the large bus arrived. It seemed more like a party bus (with karaoke on board, and some fancy green and pink lights). The large bus was overall comfortable, we even got some blankets for the trip. One stop around midnight, and we reached Bangkok pretty on time.

The bus was 45 minutes late and no one warned us. Then we stopped during the trip, and people started asking us where we were going, the name of our hotels and asked us for 200b to take us there. I said I’d get a taxi directly from the bus station but they said it was not possible to do so. So we all had to pay around 200 (which btw was 2x the price of a grab) and couldn’t explain to them that it wasn’t planned.

Good Main Drive from Bangkok to suritami, but with many stops, because Driver was checking Bus engine. One good Main Stop at a Bistro at the Highway for eating. About 2-3 Pick ups and Drops of people joining. All in all good, but arrived in suritami WE lost 2 hours because they let us sit and wait in Bistro and Bus, top collect more people. Then drove arround 30 MinutesJust arround suritami top Pick Up Others and than finally changed from the van to an old Bus. After that a 60 Minutes Drive to the harbour and another 90 Minutes for ferry Transport to Koh samui

The coach broke down multiple times but despite this the poor guys kept trying to fix it which was good and they did finally do it so we could carry on. The organisation was ok, unfortunately I had booked for the wrong day and they still managed to squeeze us in which was incredible! Communication was not ideal so we didn’t really know what was going on when the coach broke down but all good in the end and only 2 hours late from the predicted time!

We took this trip from the Phi Phi islands to Bangkok. First we took a ferry to the mainland which was very cramped. My knees touched the seat in front of me, and I am not a large man. At the pier in Krabi, we had to ask around ourselves to find the next vehicle, which was not a bus but a van that took us to somewhere nearby. There, we wanten for another 15 minutes for another van that took us to Surat Thani. In Surat Thani, we stopped at an open shop at the corner of two streets where we were told to wait 20 minutes. 20 became 40 until a party bus arrived to take us to Bangkok. The bus was not very comfortable, with a platform where the chairs stond on. This platform didn't extend fully under the chair in the aisle seat, meaning you could not comfortably set your feet on the ground. At 12.00 we stopped for 40 minutes at some small place by the road. Finally we arrived at Bangkok about an hoor after schedule. Food and water was not included in the trip. I would recommend booking with another company if you want some more comfort. We did get from A to B though.

If you have a little bit of spare money and love for yourself, buy a trip with more comfort. The bus is way to small for someone with 196 cm length. No possibility to sleep in. The bus arrived at 0300 in the morning on the pier. You have to wait 4 hours on a small wooden bench, also verry uncomfortable to sleep. I booked this trip to get a extra day time on holiday, but was again sleeping in my hostel due to the terrible trip.

In the night bus we were sitting downstairs in a small cabin and had less space for our legs and couldn't put the chairs in the sleeping position because of the wall behind us. There are different seats in the bus with much more space but we hadn't the chance to choose.
We had been told before that we have to wait for the ferry for several hours, so we arrived at 3:30 am to the Pier and the ferry left at 7 am to Koh Tao.
It was a very uncomfortable time for us - why not have a waiting room for passengers available???

The Montanatip bus from Bangkok arrived to the pier at 2.30 am, and the ferry didn't leave until 07 am. We had to sleep on benches and hang out with mosquitoes. It would have been nice to get the itinerary beforehand, so I could have considered other options. The bus and ferry was on time though👍

The bus was supposed to be VIP and comfortable. It wasn’t and it wasn’t enough for the person next to me who was TALL. He couldn’t find a comfortable position all night and kept waking me up. I couldn’t also, the chairs aren’t good. Around midnight you stop so we can eat (this is quite late, but is ok) to find out they have nothing without chiken or pork. You need to understand we are in 2023 and many people don’t abuse or eat animals anymore. If you can’t offer a bit of tofu, then you leave people with nothing to choose. Tofu is cheap and easy to cook, many thai restaurants offer it.
The bus also arrived 4:30 am when it was scheduled to arrive 6:00. This could be great, but if you think about it, to arrive in kaosan at 4:30 isn’t great, what do you do with 1:30 there? It’s dangerous, dirty and puts you in an uncomfortable position.
The rest was ok, I put a 2 star for you to read this and see if you can improve something.

De bus was erg vies en oud. Er was vanalles kapot en was totaal niets luxe aan. Hebben kakkerlakken over de vloer zien lopen. Bus was een uur te laat. Vanuit Hua hin in ging het licht uit zodat we konden slapen. Anderhalf uur later gingen het licht weer aan voor een stop van 40 minuten. Totaal onnodig ons inziens. Vervolgens een overstap in Surathani waar het ongeorganiseerd ging en wederom drie kwartier hebben moeten wachten op de stoep.

All in all the tour was very well organised and exactly like it was planned.The bus for the long drive from Bangkok to Surat Thani (10 hours) was very comfortable. You get a blanket, water and snack. For the price definitly worth it. Sometimes it seems chaotic and you don't really know what is happening next, but that's maybe the thai way of doing things. If anything the people from the bus company were not friendly at all. Sometimes you felt like a sheep being moved from one place to another. Other than that worth it, especially because of the price.

Viajé de Bangkok a Koh Samui y fue perfecto.
Había leído malas reseñas, pero todo salió genial.
En Montanatip Khao San, nos pidieron el código de reserva y nos dieron los billetes en papel y unas pegatinas de color para identificarnos a cada uno en el autobús correspondiente. Todo muy organizado, salimos puntuales.
El autobús era super cómodo, amplio, con aire acondicionado, nos dejaron botella de agua, aperitivo y manta. Dormimos casi toda la noche.
En Surat Thani nos trasladaron al ferry ( muy buen viaje) y llegamos a destino incluso antes de lo previsto. En la oficina de Surat Thani nos ofrecieron gestionar nuestro traslado a nuestro hotel por 200 bath/ persona ( en un inicio dije que no, pensábamos que era un poco estafa, precio alto, pero realmente era más económico que los Grab que consultamos). Así que la experiencia fue de 10, y el precio mejor imposible.

The only negative feedback was that we had to wait for 4 hours for the ferry at the pier but there was no where inside to sit and there was lots of mosquitos. We got eaten alive!

Could have definitely been better but I guess it reflects the price. The people could have been more polite, less shouting
Could have included on the PDF how long each transport will take other than keep people guessing how long
