No frills airline with very polite staff. Leg room is a little tight for a 6’ bloke - similar to the legroom on EasyJet/Ryanair. Both airports (DMK and Krabi) were easy to travel through.

The email instruction from Thai Lion air specifically said that it is mandatory for me to print the e-ticket, but upon coming to the airport, it wasn't even checked. Thai Lion Air shouldn't have said that because it requires extra effort for some to look for a printer just to print!! But other than that, airline i booked was quick and efficient. Online check in together with the official Boarding pass can be done online so no hassle especially for people without baggage. Departure and arrival was on time.

Luggage lost, efficient service at the airport but then we had to call several times to make sure the process was ok and to know where the luggage was. Fortunatelly we got it back in time before our departure.

Alles sehr gut geklappt! Der Flug, Transfer und das Speedboot. Hab die App das erste Mal genutzt und ich bin positiv überrascht. Nur ein Problem gab es. Ich könnte bei der Buchung kein Reisegepäck angeben. Es wurde auf den Check in verwiesen. Dort angekommen, kam das große Erwachen. Ich musste 6000 Bath zum Ticket zu kaufen. Die Reise kostete mich anstatt 50 € 140 €. Und das ist nicht in Ordnung!!!! Deswegen nur 4*

Flight changed price as I was booking-went up 500 baht. Customer service was friendly and let us move things around in bags since they have an 8 kilogram limit to carry on luggage. Flight was delayed about 40 minutes because of an AC malfunction and the aircraft didn’t cool down until it was time for descent.

When I checked in online the evening before our 6am flight, everything was on time. Arrived at the airport to find it moved to 11am, an email would have been nice as they sent one when it was first changed.

For such a cheap price I was happy with the flight. Quick check in and the staff is very nice. Minimal leg room and no free drinks of snacks. Minimal baggage allowance but the check in process was easy. You get what you pay for. Flight was smooth. Overall happy with our trip.

Wirklich top. Sehr sehr nettes Personal, sehr schönes sauberes Flugzeug. Es war kein Problem einen Rollstuhl am Flughafen Phuket zu bekommen (Fuss gebrochen) und in Bangkok wartete auch direkt einer beim Aussteigen. Der Flug war sehr angenehm, zumal ich ohne zu fragen, einen Sitz mit viel Beinfreiheit bekommen habe. Diese Airline kann ich nur empfehlen!

This was quiete an experience as i almost missed my flight amd i would like to THANK DEEPLY FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART the staff at the airport that kindly helped me with an issue i had ( it was my fault, my responsibility) An agent in white at the airport so kindly walked me through the gates as i was going to miss my flight. Thank you again so much ! On top of that, as i was the last in the aircraft, the flightattendent very very kindly gave me the last seat at the emergency exit that was not already taken. Thank you so much to have make what could have been a horrible day such a wonderful one. Thank you Thailand, Thank you Don Mueang. Jennifer Angiboust

Flight left and arrived on time. Couldn’t check into chaing mai till 2 hours before our flight so had to wait 2 hours . No vegetarian food in Chiang Mai airport. Don Mueang airport is really nice except had to wait 30 mins for bags and mine had been opened.

Thai lion air took an hour to get to don meuang from Chiang mai but it took another 45 mins to get off the plane,pickup checked baggage and walk out the door. Still,you get what you pay for.

We were over an hour late getting to Phuket but Thai lion Air is the way to go. The plane was new with individual monitors with updated movies and TV shows. Staff were courteous and pleasant. We’ve traveled budget airlines in Asia and this one is great. I will be booking with Thai Lion Air for future travels.

Airplane engine would not start, had to taxi back to the gate and wait 2 hrs till they fixed it....... Then we boarded the plane again... Not the safest procedure in my thoughts.... They do not have other planes???

I booked a flight because the trains were booked. It was very easy getting from BKK to DMK via the free shuttle. Traffic was nonexistent at 9:30am and took an hour. While DMK international has lines “going out the door” the domestic terminal was not crowded. Thai Lion had surprisly good seats on their jet and I imagine a 75-minute flight vs 12-hour train ticket is worth the 50% premium on ticket price.
