Bali Karang Tours
Bali Karang Tours

We booked the Van+Ferry package from this highly-rated agency. The driver was pretty nice and helpful—he picked us up on time and drove efficiently. We left the hotel at 9:45 AM and arrived at the port around 11:50 AM. Getting our tickets at their office went smoothly, but things went downhill when we headed to the boarding area at 1:30 PM, as instructed.
The port was completely chaotic, and we ended up waiting until 2:00 PM. To make matters worse, the ferry was infested with small cockroaches crawling everywhere.
After 2 hours, we arrived at Gili T, only to be unexpectedly asked to transfer to a tiny boat to get to Gili Air. Throughout this whole process, we were given zero information about which boat to take or when the transfer would happen. I know some agencies operate this way, but they usually state it clearly in the package details—this one didn't mention it at all. We finally arrived at Gili Air at 4:50 PM, which was way past the scheduled 2:55 PM arrival time.

Our driver Eris was great. She arrived ahead of time and communicated quickly through whatsapp. We got dropped off 1.5 hours before our boats scheduled departure at 1:30 pm. The ferry arrived an hour late for departure and overall we arrived 3 hours after our scheduled arrival time (at 5 pm instead of 2 pm). So expect severe delays on this trip.

Gede was fantastic. We had an issue that resulted in our ferry being cancelled and having to rebook on a ferry that took us to a different port at a different time. Gede was more than understanding and still picked us up, never once complaining or making us feel guilty. Would highly recommend.

I'm perfectly happy with everything. The driver texted me via what's app and was waiting for me. He waited in front of the hostel and took my suitcase straight away. He was really very friendly and accommodating. The ride was one of the most comfortable i have ever had. He kept pleasant small talk and joked with me. We drove really narrow and steep roads in Bali and I always felt 100% safe. He was very careful and patient. So really very satisfied in everything, I would choose again and again.
