Unfortunately, the train was over an hour late reaching Samarkand and we were over an hour late reaching Tashkent. I still don’t know why there was such a delay, no explanation provided, which is really poor.
The train journey itself was fine, comfortable, and the staff friendly, but, the damage had already been done with the train being so late.

An early start for prompt 06:10 departure. Everything smooth, on time and comfortable. Complimentary snacks and drink provided on board, as well as (independent?) paid for refreshments. Good to remember travel tickets are available logging in to 12go account rather than downloading from confirmation email at time of purchase

Extremely dirty, trash and leftover food everywhere.
Train was not cleaned before letting new riders on.
The toilet was a scary experience, beyond nasty.
