Các hạng vé tàu hỏa và giá của hãng Thai Railways là gì?
Tuỳ thuộc vào chiều dài của hành trình cũng như nhu cầu, bạn có thể chọn vé tàu hạng nhất hoặc hạng hai trong khoang giường nằm đối với các chuyến tàu đêm, hoặc chọn vé ghế mềm hoặc ghế cứng. Hãy lưu ý rằng việc lựa chọn hạng vé tàu phụ thuộc vào tuyến đường và độ dài của hành trình. Có nghĩa là chuyến tàu bạn chọn có thể có vé giường nằm hạng nhất, nhưng bạn sẽ không đặt được nếu như bạn chỉ đi một trình ngắn trong 2 tiếng. Theo đánh giá chung, giường nằm hạng hai sẽ lý tưởng cho các hành trình dài, còn ghế ngồi mềm sẽ phù hợp hơn nếu bạn di chuyển ngắn hơn 4-5 tiếng.
Ưu & Nhược điểm của đường sắt
Ưu điểm của đi tàu:
- Lợi thế lớn nhất của đi tàu hoả là không có việc tắc đường. Ngay cả khi vào giờ cao điểm, cuối tuần hay mùa nghỉ lễ.
- Có thể đặt vé tàu online dễ dàng - bạn không cần phải đến tận ga tàu mới mua được vé.
- Giá vé tàu thường khá “mềm" khi so sánh với giá vé máy bay cho cùng một điểm đến, và thậm chí tổng thời gian di chuyển thì tương đương nhau.
- Dù tốc độ di chuyển tàu hoả chậm hơn đi máy bay, thì các ga tàu hoả lại thường được đặt ở trung tâm thành phố, sẽ giúp bạn tiết kiệm được rất nhiều thời gian di chuyển do sân bay thường đặt rất xa trung tâm.
- Đi tàu đêm sẽ giúp bạn tiết kiệm một đêm phòng khách sạn, và bạn cũng có thể dễ dàng ngủ ngon - ngược lại với xe khách đêm, đôi khi rất khó khăn để có thể ngủ trên xe khách.
- Đối với một số tuyến, các hãng tàu có cả dịch vụ cao cấp
Nhược điểm của đi tàu:
- Đối với các hành trình dài, đi tàu chắc chắn sẽ tốn nhiều thời gian hơn máy bay.
- Tàu thường khởi hành đúng giờ, nhưng cũng có trường hợp lịch tàu chạy bị thay đổi - và trong trường hợp đó thì giờ tàu có thể bị trễ rất lâu. Vậy nếu bạn lên kế hoạch cho một chuyến bay nối tiếp, hãy kiểm tra kỹ thời gian tàu vào ga và cân nhắc kỹ lưỡng.
- Vệ sinh trên khoang tàu có thể là một vấn đề đối với khoang hạng hai hoặc hạng ba, và cả nhà vệ sinh.
- Nếu tàu bạn chọn có nhiều điểm dừng, đôi khi bạn sẽ gặp khó khăn để xác định ga xuống, vì có thể các điểm dừng không được thông báo rõ ràng hay không có bảng thông báo hiển thị trên tàu.

It was so damn cold. It felt like 16-17 degrees. However, I slept like a Baby. And such a night train is just awesome from a time Perspective (not Llosing too much). Would do again.
We will just remember to put on some more cloth.
Oh and better ask for the prices of food and beverages on the train. They are quite expensive.

Ik heb deze trein al vaker genomen van bangkok naar chaing mai en andersom. Ongeveer 4/5 keer totaal.
Elke keer prima ervaring mer 12go nooit problemen. De trein zelf is altijd op tijd en schoon. Personeel in de trein is heel vriendelijk. Het enige nadeel is de airco die hard blaast.
Tevens was het voor mij niet mogelijk om een digitale ticket te krijgen. Het ophalen bij het hoofdkantoor in bangkok is helaas ook een nadeel

Too small bed for me, I am tall and also AC too cold but overall it was okay;) I would add some power socket in upper bed because there are some only very low and I couldn’t charge my phone.

Overall this trainride was very confortable. There was enough space in the bed. For a train bed it was also "soft". The only bad thing was that the light was permanently on.

Train was delayed by 10 minutes, but the train staff were helpful - no information on the notice boards.
The train was quiet and clean, everyone was asleep by 10pm with nobody snoring! We felt very lucky, as we got a good sleep in. No train changes and few stops, everyone was lovely onboard, lots of other backpackers.

Die Tickets wurden nicht zum Hotel gesendet wie anfangs ausgewählt, der Versand wurde erstattet aber war etwas doof da wir wie Tickets so noch kurzfristig abholen mussten.
Die Fahrt ging vom neuen Bahnhof in Bangkok aus, der wirklich einfach mit der BTS zu erreichen war.
Das Gleis war leicht zu finden und der Checkin war Problemlos.
Man konnte auf alle Fälle gut schlafen, toller Vibe im Nachtzug, es gab Essen und war ein totaler Traum im Süden bei Sonnenaufgang wach zu werden. Werde ich in Zukunft immer machen um in den Süden zu kommen! Tolle Erfahrung, unbedingt ausprobieren :-)

Ein Absolut geiles Erlebnis. Jedem wirklich zu empfehlen, muss man mal gemacht haben(Schlafwagen Aircon 2Kl). Im Zug zu schlafen war kein Problem , auch wenn die Fahrt ruppig war. Man bekommt ein Laken und ist selbst mit Shorts vor der Klimaanlage gut geschützt. Mit Schlafmaske, Ohropax und eventuell Reisekaugummis seid ihr bestens vorbereitet. Essen wird euch auch im Zug verkauft für kleines Geld.

Train from Chiang Mai to Hua Lamphong took 11 hours. The toilets were terrible.

Everything super smooth. First Class Sleeper cabins are awesome, though I was impressed by 2nd Class cabin too, only a curtain for privacy but hey you're sleeping anyway!

All went well and it’s a great experience, only the service staff of the train was pretty rude and didn’t speak English. But that was a minor minus.

I was pleased with my trip. Before the journey, my concerns were overcrowding, a sleepless night, having to set up the berth myself, and hunger. But my fears were unfounded. The train was uncrowded, I slept comfortably in a cozy berth, and a male attendant set up the berths himself. I was never hungry nor thirsty, because there were a lot of hawkers boarding the train from time to time to sell foodstuff. I now know that Thai Railways made sure it's passengers would be satisfied.

My journey was delayed for 9 hours. I heard it was due to flood and train can't move. Btw, the announcement was in Thai language and I can't understand that. Suggest to have announcement in English as well since the passenger are not local only.
The train shall arrived at 11 am however I only arrived at 7.50pm. what a shocking experience but I do accept it due to nature problem. But the management should consider to have a cafeteria that can provide food especially HALAL food for Muslim. I can't buy food from outside seller since their not selling halal food but as a responsible transportation company, the train should accommodate regarding food matter as me and my friend are starving and down with gastric due to not taken any proper food since morning until evening.
Hope the management will consider my suggestion for better service in future. Thanks

Train was great fun. Wasn't happy with the fact that I was charged nearly £10.00 just for booking online with 12GO. They did not make this clear until after we had clicked pay! Would not use them again for booking.

The train was perfectly fine, but turns out they keep the lights on full the whole night through. I found it almost impossible to sleep because of it. If you're not a loght sleeper, it should be fine.

Wij hadden een coupe voor ons tweeën. Een bed onder en eentje boven. De bedden waren al opgemaakt toen we instapten om 20 uur. Een wasbakje in de coupé en we konden onze telefoons opladen. Wc op de gang. Zelfs een douche maar die hebben we niet gebruikt. Je moet zelf wat te eten of drinken meenemen.
Een aanrader om 1e klas te reizen. Was 15 euro duurder.

The train ride was comfortable. Staff was efficient in speedily setting up the sleeping berths. Blanket was clean, thick and kept me warm throughout the night. Pillow provided was too soft. I had to add my travel pillow on top to raise my head to a comfortable height. Train departed and arrived right on schedule.

Fuimos en coche cama 1ra clase que tienes tú cabina privada para ti y un acompañante (en literas),los baños son compartidos y hay una ducha. El servicio muy bien, puntual y amables. Es un poco difícil dormir por el movimiento… no le doy 5 estrellas por que en tantas horas me falto un servicio de comidas o un bar …. Llevar la cena con vosotros :)

Efficient and fast ticket processing - picked up the ticket from office counter easily.

So easy and the train was great,?went second class with my family which includes my 21 and 19 yr olds. The loos were clean, the train was clean, the beds were comfortable and it was a great experience! 12Go was very organised and an easy service to use, thank you!

Very long journey, but great value for the price, and jungle scenery! Train staff were incredibly attentive, served snacks and food, and we were (surprisingly) only 10 minutes late arriving into Chiang Mai.

Bang Sue is a perfect station to leave from. Not chaotic and right at the metro station. Train comfort 2nd class is great. Negative is that the lights stay on all night long. Make sure to buy some food at the station because on the train there is only water.

I took the train first class. To me, that is the way to go overnight. It was over 17 hours, but it didn't feel like it. I had a compartment with a bed and a sink, plus an electrical outlet, all to myself. The only drawback was I got very little sleep because the motion and the people in the compartment next to me were watching a movie till midnight, but that is not the fault of the railway. Helpful and friendly staff.

Very good. Helpful staff. Confortable bed and everything very clean.
Difficult to find the counter to pick up the ticket at Bang Sue Junction.
And no space when you have many luggages.
Train on time.

Lot of delay. First we got ob the wrong train rhat departed from the same track and at the same time as ours(which was delayed) had to get out at the next stop. Wait for the right train 1.5 hours. Not power outlet by the beds. But overal the Thai were very helpful and friendly.(as always).

Tenía un poco de problemas para encontrar billete de tren de Bangkok a Chiang mai.
Viajamos con dos niños y con el rollo del Covid queríamos un ticket de 1a clase.
En el rápido no había disponibilidad y consiguieron en el express que tarda una hora más.pagamos como si todos fuesen adultos y al recoger el ticket me devolvieron de inmediato la diferencia de los niños.
Se recogen Justo enfrente de la estación (mejor manera ir por el paso del metro salida 1)
Muy cómodo y la comisión es de risa, muy recomendable
