We went from Koh Phi Phi to Koh Mook, we had to change boats in Koh Lanta, overall the boat was about 30 Minutes late. The boat from Koh Lanta to Koh Mook/Lipe was very crowded, some people didn‘t get a seat, which is not acceptable for this price.

The boat was about 45 minutes late arriving at the pick up location and 50 mins late arriving to my final destination. Like others, I do wish they tell you when you book that they stop at other islands, andwhat the route looks like, just to help plan coordinating pick-ups at the destination. I had no way to contact my driver meeting me at the destination to say I was running almost an hour behind schedule, but thankfully he was still waiting for me when I eventually got here. The guys on the boat were helpful with bags and had everything else down to a science. And I do understand that Thai time is a real thing! :) Schedules are just more relaxed here than what i’m used to in the states. But some extra communication between the boat drivers and the people working at the pick up points would be really helpful so we at least knew what was going on. Otherwise it was very easy.

Pick up was on time and even though I thought we would be late arriving at the pier, we were right on time. It was a little difficult to know when the transfer van reached my hotel as there are many stopping that time of day to do other transfers. The only way I knew was by looking for the logo of the speedboat company on the back on of the van.

Trip took about 3 hours, got a bottle of water as well (the first and only time that happened on three different trips). The sea was very rough on the open water and the co-captain would not slow down the boat at all, causing us to hit waves very hard. He wouldn't even slow down when a woman asked so that she could use the toilet. Finally the captain took over, and allowed a short bathroom break in the heavy waves before continuing. It was very uncomfortable and I was very glad when we finally arrived in paradise at our destination!

Driver was slightly delayed due to festival traffic, but we made it to the pier with time to spare before leaving on a speedboat. I would highly recommend booking the speedboat if you’re wanting a quick journey to koh Lanta.

Expected this journey to be long and tedious but it was pretty simple and enjoyable!
