As usual 12go arrangements and ticketing were excellent. And on this occasion so was the journey to Phnom Penh. Unlike the outward journey..'mad max of a driver on a whacky races race track' type, the return journey was safe, sensible and, as most time and motion analysts would attest to, was no slower in journey time. The driver even dropped us off at a stop of our choosing.
Cautionary note to all travellers, keep your valuables with you at all times, especially during toilet and refreshment breaks when leaving the bus. A couple suffered the loss of cash and cards and the other contents of their bag ie passports slung across the bus after leaving valuab l as behind at a toilet stop.

Stadt Sihanoukville absoluter Horror!! Die komplette Stadt ist eine Baustelle.
Wir mussten mit einem Bus zu einer anderen Anlegestelle und haben 60 Minuten für ca. 3 Kilometer benötigt.
Die Fähre war in Ordnung. Alles andere drum herum katastrophal.

Les voyageurs ne savent pas mettre des écouteurs... du coup beaucoup de bruit... Le lit une place est petit mais globalement c'est très bien pour le prix

The boat left 30 minutes late. The crossing was very rough and I'm surprised they took such a small boat. It didn't look like they had enough life jackets for everyone. Take Island Speed Ferry's larger catamaran.

The trip was supposed to take 30 minutes. The scheduled departure time as checked on the pier was 15 later than in the app. The boat was late another 45 minutes. And it left us in a completely different place. There was a bus provided, but it took another 30 minutes to ride. Overall we were 1.5h later at the destination.
On the good side: the boat actually arrived and there was a bus.

The journey was fast and smooth however waiting at the pier was terrible. The staff didn't work English and also didn't seem to interested in helping us. We had to keep trying running over to the boats to see if it was our one.

Лодка маленькая и не могла вместить то количество людей ,которые купили билет .Нет организации ,куда и откуда отплывает паром .

Everything was fine. The boat left almost on time, maybe only 10 minutes later. We sailed straight from Sihanoukville to Sok San beach for half a price of what Sok San Beach Resort charges.

Lack of organisation, there is no info about the place of departing. Still, the pier is small and if you keep asking you will find the place (there are about 8 places for departure on the pier). The lady from transport company GCTV, not helpfull at all, just interested to sell tickets. She didn't know where we should wait for the boat.

Die Fähren fahren nur ungefähr nach Plan. Sie werden überladen und man kann hoffen, dass man trotz Ticket einen Platz erhält (am besten online 12goasia). Ob dann das bereitgestellte Gepäck auch auf der Fähre ist, weiss man nicht so genau. Bei der Rückfahrt musste das Boot zwei Mal auf offener See repariert werden. Also Trinkwasser und Zeit dabei haben... auch für die Fahrt vom Hafen zum Flughafen! Die dauert wegen immenser Baustelle (sicher für die nächsten zwei Jahre) länger! Du da nehmen noch einige ihre Kinder und Kleinkinder mit... unglaublich!

Wir sind mit über 1h Verspätung angekommen, da wir einerseits zu spät losgefahren sind und andererseits einen ungeplanten Zwischenstopp eingelegt haben. Ansich überrascht uns das in Süd-Ost-Asiatischen Ländern nicht, aber wir haben um ein Haar unseren Flug verpasst und konnten es dann eben nicht mehr so locker sehen.

Vor Ort am Pier von Sihanoukville war es etwas chaotisch. Keine fühlte sich verantwortlich oder wusste etwas Konkretes. Das abgegebene Boot war ein anderes. Das ist zu vernachlässigen. Vielmehr sollte man genug Zeit einplanen, da der die Abfahrtzeit stark variieren kann von der gebuchten. Daher genug Zeit mitbringen und Entspannen. Hier läuft alles ein wenig langsamer an. Ggf kann es bei schlechten Wetterverhältnissen sein das die Fähre auch ausfällt.

They departed 20 min later than in the confirmation said, and they arrived 40 minutesater as well. They made me lose my connection transportation at 4pm to Kampot. 12goasia do not take any responsability about it. Bad.

It was a good ride, but it is a small speed boat, so the ride is quite bumpy and I wouldn’t recommend it for families with infants.

Unsere 8:30 Uhr Fähre, wie gebucht war nur ein kleines Boot. Nicht alle hatten Platz und so mussten wir mit weiteren Leuten, auf eine neue Fähre warten. Aus den angesagten 10 Minuten, wurden mindestens 30 Minuten.

We was there in time, but the employees didn't even know the name of the Bay they are going to. We had to insist to go on the right boat, they tried to sent us to a boat to another island and try to convince us that that's the right island.

The ferry was fast and all went well. We had to leave from another port (due to weather reasons), and this port is not in the city centre, so a bus was organized to get there. However, on the return, we arrived to the same port (outside the city) and this time no transport was there to bring to city centre. We tried asking the people but no one responded anything..
Not a big deal, but..

Conducteur très mal aimable qui roule comme un fou, très très vite, sur le bord de la route en terre à gauche à droite, qui prend beaucoup de risques en doublant les camions tout en rigolant au téléphone en conduisant. Bref mieux vaut ne pas regarder la route mais difficile de dormir dans ces conditions la..il ne nous a pas activé la wifi qui pourtant était l'un des services accroché de la compagnie.on s'est arrêté une fois pour manger.
On est arrivé à destination et c'est le principal.
