The Bus startet with 40 Minutes delay, people weren‘t really nice to tourists. We stopped like 10 times to pick up or drop Stuff/people that weren‘t in the Schedule, the sleeping Seats were not that bad but for rather thin and tiny people >1.65m. In the end we arrived 2.5 hours late and couldn’t get on the tour we wanted.. we only took this bus because it was supposed to arrive early enough. 2/5 stars because the standard here is not that high and we read worse reviews :)

We payed 24$ for Sapa-Cat Ba for a cabin bus. The driver at first give us a place in corridor, not a seat/bed and said that it is our bed that we paid for :) After arguing with him he find a bed for us. Wr have just one stop for a toilet during 12 hours of travel and the staff was very unpleasand, they listen music very loud during night and do a lot of stop for every asia men but if you ask them to make a stop for a toilet they said that they already made it

We booked a direct bus to Cat Ba and ended up having to change buses twice in the middle of the night, with no one of the bus team warning us beforehand. They left our bags in the middle of the street at 2 am with no surveillance while waiting for the last bus. We still ended up arriving at our destination but it took longer than expected (12h instead of 10h) and we didn't get what we paid for.

We booked the Sapa to Catbar overnight bus and we did get there eventually in 12 hours. What we didn’t expect was to take one car, three different buses and a very short motorcycle ride. We arrived at the pick up point in Sapa and had to get in a car to the first bus. We were on the first bus for an hour before being changed into another sleeper bus. This then stopped at 4am as we were the last ones on the bus. We got on the back of a motorbike for a minutes drive to another sleeper bus and the driver was paid to allow us to get on. We didn’t get much sleep and it was a bit worrying not knowing what was happening.

The Communication was so bad! We were at 4 am in Hanoi. And nobody could tell us where to go or what we should do right now. No information in the pdf Voucher nothing! It was completely horrible!

We were waiting in front of the „office“ in Sapa which is a simple yard with a dirty toilet and a poor big dog in a cage in front of the toilet. They picked us up too late to bring us with an electric vehicle to the bus. Because of the delay the drivers were stressed and threw our backpacks in the bus (I wasn’t sure if they might destroy them). The seats in the bus are comfortable but my place has been dirty and my seatbelt has been broken so I wasn’t sure if it’ll help me at all. There was no toilet on board and after 3 hours of driving the bus went to a petrol station. All of us were hoping that we can get out of the bus to use the restrooms but the driver reacted just rude and closed the door so we couldn’t get out of the bus. The other guy of the company pretended to sleep to avoid talking to us. In the end he has been really annoyed and just repeated „No toilet“. Then the bus took of again. In the end he drove another 30 minutes more and stopped again so we’ve been really happy about this. He made it to Cat Ba on Point (although there have been a lot of random stops to let people in and out of the bus in the middle of nowhere).

After reading previous reviews we were quite nervous about getting the bus. The pick up place was a yard in Sapa, where we waited until about 21:00. A taxi arrived to take us to the office, where a number of other travellers were waiting. We were all ushered to the back of the bus. The bus left about 21:30. The drive was steady and did not fit the description of past reviews (perhaps a new driver). The bus was reasonably comfortable if you are not too tall!! The only downside was there was no stop in 10 hrs for a comfort break and no toilet on board! I have given 4 stars as it got us to Cat Ba, it was reasonably comfortable, I didn't feel scared and it was an adventure.

The bus stop address on my ticket was wrong so I spent about an hour being driven around asking locals and contacting the bus company trying to establish where we were being picked up from.
