การรถไฟเวียดนาม เป็นผู้ให้บริการรถไฟทางไกลของประเทศเวียดนาม เส้นทางหลักที่สำคัญคือสายเหนือ-ใต้ ระยะทาง 1,600 กิโลเมตร หรือที่รู้จักกันในชื่อรถไฟด่วนสายเหนือ - ใต้ของเวียดนาม รวมถึงรถไฟสายรองทั่วประเทศลาวไกและสายไฮฟอง
สายหลักของรถไฟในเวียดนามเชื่อมระหว่างฮานอยและโฮจิมินห์ซิตี้ (HCMC) 2 เมืองใหญ่ของเวียดนาม รถไฟสายหลักสร้างเสร็จสมบูรณ์ในปี พ. ศ. 2479 และให้บริการมาจนถึงปี พ. ศ. 2497 เมื่อสงครามแบ่งประเทศ ในช่วงขณะนั้นประชาชนไม่สามารถขึ้นรถไฟสัญจรไปมา ระหว่างฮานอยไปโฮจิมินห์ได้ จนกระทั่งปี พ.ศ. 2519

นอกจากนี้ ที่นครโฮจิมินห์ทางภาคใต้ กำลังจะมีรถไฟฟ้าสายแรกเวียดนาม ปัจจุบันคืบหน้าไปแล้วกว่า 73% คาดเปิดให้บริการในปี 2564

เส้นทางเดินรถไฟที่นิยมมากที่สุดในเวียดนาม :
สายรวม
รถไฟสายหลักอย่าง ฮานอย - โฮจิมินห์ซิตี้ และ ไซ่ง่อน - ฮานอย ใช้เวลาประมาณ 33 ชั่วโมง
จุดแวะชมที่ได้รับความนิยมมากที่สุดในสายนี้ ได้แก่
ฮานอย - หล่าวกาย
จากฮานอยไปหล่าวกาย เป็นเส้นทางรถไฟที่ได้รับความนิยมมากที่สุดจากนักท่องเที่ยวต่างชาติ ซึ่งสถานีหล่าวกายยังเป็นสถานีรถไฟที่ใกล้กับสถานีซาปามากที่สุด เมืองซาปาไม่มีสถานีรถไฟ แต่มีรถประจำทางและแท็กซี่จำนวนมากที่มุ่งหน้าไปยังซาปาจากหล่าวกาย ซึ่งอยู่ห่างออกไปประมาณ 40 กม.
การเดินทางจาก ฮานอยไปหล่าวกาย ใช้เวลาประมาณ 9 ชั่วโมง หากคุณต้องการจองตั๋วรถไฟฮานอยซาปา สามารถค้นหาได้จาหหน้าเว็บเราเช่นกัน
ฮานอย - ไฮฟอง
หากต้องการเดินทางไปยัง ฮาลองเบย์ และ เกาะกั๊ตบา คุณสามารถขึ้นรถไฟจาก ฮานอยไปไฮฟอง ซึ่งจะใช้เวลาในการเดินทางประมาณ 3 ชั่วโมง
ตารางรถไฟเวียดนาม
ในปัจจุบันมีรถไฟที่ให้บริการในเส้นทางสายรวมทั้งหมด 6 เที่ยว ซึ่งตารางรถไฟเวียดนามจะมีการปรับหรือขยายเวลาเพิ่มขึ้นในช่วยเทศกาลเต็ด (ปีใหม่ของเวียดนาม) ในเดือนมกราคมหรือต้นเดือนกุมภาพันธ์
รถไฟขบวนเลขคี่จะเกินทางจากทางเหนือไปใต้ ส่วนเลขคู่จะเดินทางจากตะวันออกไปตะวันตก
สำหรับการเดินทางด้วยรถไฟที่สะดวกสบายที่สุดให้เลือกรถไฟขบวนที่ SE1, SE2, SE3 และ SE4 ซึ่งเป็นรถไฟที่ดีที่สุดในเวียดนาม มีเบาะนอนแบบนุ่มและแบบแข็งให้เลือก
ประเภทที่นั่งบนรถไฟ
มีเตียงนอนและชั้นที่นั่งที่หลากหลายสำหรับการเดินทางให้คุณได้เลือก ทั้งนี้ขึ้นอยู่กับว่าคุณต้องการที่นั่งหรือตู้นอนแบบปรับอากาศหรือไม่
ไม่มีสิ่งที่เรียกว่า "รถไฟท่องเที่ยว" ในการขนส่งทางรถไฟของเวียดนาม โดยทั่วไปคำๆนี้จะหมายถึงตู้โดยสารหรูหราแบบส่วนตัว เช่น จากฮานอยไปซาปา หรือ จากฮานอยไปดานัง
หากคุณต้องเดินทางเป็นเวลานานหรือในระยะไกล เราขอแนะนำให้คุณจองตั๋วรถไฟเวียดนามแบบตู้นอน เพราะมีในบริการทั้งกลางวันและกลางคืน เพื่อให้คุณได้ผ่อนคลายในการเดินทางเวลานานๆ
- รถนอนปรับอากาศชั้น 1 ในเวียดนามเรียกว่าตู้นอนนุ่มๆ
รถไฟตู้นอนปรับอากาศชั้น 1 มีให้เลือก 2 แบบ คือ รถนอนวีไอพีนุ่ม จะมีที่นอน 2 ที่ใน 1 ห้อง และแบบที่ 2 คือตู้นอนธรรมดา จะมีที่นอน 4 ที่ทั้งหมด 7 ห้อง เป็นเตียงนอน 2 ชั้น บน-ล่าง ทุกห้องเป็นห้องปรับอากาศและได้รับการปรับปรุงใหม่ให้เป็นรถไฟระดับ "5 ดาว" เมื่อสองปีก่อน
- รถนอนปรับอากาศชั้น 2 ในเวียดนามเรียกว่าเตียงแข็ง
สำหรับรถไฟประเภทนี้ เป็นรถที่มีราคาย่อมเยา เหมาะสำหรับการเดินทางในระยะไกลที่ต้องค้างคืน ความสะดวกทุกอย่างแบบเดียวกับ first class หรือชั้น 1 แต่แตกต่างกันคือรถไฟชั้น 2 จะมีเตียงที่มีลักษณะที่ค่อนข้างแข็งกว่าชั้นแรก 1 ห้องโดยสาร มี 6 เตียง พื้นที่ค่อนข้างเล็กกว่าชั้นแรกหากคุณชอบความสะดวกสบายหรืออยากพักผ่อนแบบครอบครัวแนะนำรถไฟตู้นอนชั้นที่ 1 จะเหมาะสมมากกว่า โดนทุกห้องเป็นห้องปรับอากาศ
- ประเภทที่นั่ง
ที่นั่งรถไฟในเวียดนามมีทั้งหมด 3 แบบ :

ที่นั่งปรับอากาศ เหมาะสำหรับการเดินทางในช่วงเวลากลางวัน เช่น จากดานังไปฮานอย. โดยตู้โดยสารขบวนนี้มักจะมีปลั๊กไว้ให้เสียบสายโทรศัพท์ขณะเดินทางด้วย

ที่นั่งปรับอากาศแบบไม้ ที่นั่งโดยสารประเภทนี้อาจไม่เหมาะสำหรับการเดินทางในระยะไกล หาคนเดินทางในระยะใกล้ๆก็ถือเป็นตัวเลือกที่ดีเช่นกัน

ที่นั่งชั้นธรรมดา มีลักษณะเป็นไม้แข็ง เป็นชั้นที่นั่งแบบไม่มีเครื่องปรับอากาศ มีพัดลมเพดาน โดยคุณสามารถเปิดหน้าต่างเพื่อรับลมระหว่างทางได้
ตั๋วรถไฟเวียดนาม
ในปัจจุบันคุณสามารถทำการซื้อตั๋วโดยสารรถไฟผ่านเว็บไซต์ออนไลน์ได้ หรือทำการจองรถไฟเวียดนาม ณ เคาน์เตอร์หน้าสถานีก็ได้เช่นกัน
การรถไฟเวียดนามเปิดให้จองล่วงหน้า 60 วันก่อนวันเดินทาง (สำหรับบางเส้นทาง 90 วันก่อนวันเดินทาง) และขอแนะนำให้คุณทำการซื้อตั๋วรถไฟล่วงหน้าสำหรับเส้นทางที่ไกลหรือต้องใช้เวลาในการเดินทางนาน
และหากคุณต้องการเดินทางในวันใดวันหนึ่งโดยใช้ตู้นอนแบบนุ่มหรือแข็ง คุณจะต้องระบุวันที่และเส้นทางที่แน่นอน เพราะระบบการรถไฟไม่มีตั๋วแบบเปิดวันที่
Train tickets in Vietnam cost the same for locals and foreigners – there is no dual-pricing policy.
ทั้งนี้ ตั๋วรถไฟในเวียดนามมีราคาเท่ากัน ไม่มีการแบ่งแยกราคาระหว่างคนในและชาวต่างชาติ
For online booking you have several options including buying directly from Vietnam Railways website. The difficulty here is that only Vietnamese credit cards are accepted, so if you do not have one, you won’t be able to pay for your ticket.

ข้อดี

- สะดวก สะดวก สบาย และมีการปรับปรุงใหม่อยู่ตลอด ทำให้ขบวนรถไฟในประเทศเวียดนามมีความสวยหรู ดูไม่เก่า
- อาหารพื้นเมืองของเวียดนามที่ขายอยู่บนรถเข็นในขบวนรถไฟ มีรสชาติเป็นเอกลักษณ์และอร่อยมาก ซึ่งคุณไม่ควรพลาด

ข้อเสีย
- รถไฟล่าช้า : ความล่าช้าเป็นเรื่องปกติที่อาจเกิดขึ้นและการเดินทางมักใช้เวลานานและช้ามาก ดังนั้นคุณควรคำนึงถึงสิ่งนี้เมื่อวางแผนการเดินทาง
- ที่นั่งโดยสารหรือที่นอนโดยสารปรับอากาศมีอุณหภูมิที่ไม่แน่นอนหรือเป็นตัวเลือกที่ไม่ดีที่สุด เพราะบางครั้งอาจทำงานไม่เต็มที่อากาศร้อนหรือหนาวเกินไป
- ความสะอาดของห้องน้ำ : อย่าลืมว่าในตู้โดยสารของรถไฟจะมีห้องน้ำไปให้บริการประมาณ 2-4 ห้อง อาจทำให้ห้องน้ำไม่เพียงพอหรือไม่สะอาดเท่าที่ควร เราต้องรองรับผู้โดยสารจำนวนมากในแต่ละวัน
- หากคุณเดินทางจากฮานอยไปโฮจิมินห์ ด้วยที่นอนแบบปรับอากาศ อย่าลืมที่จะตรวจสอบความเรียบร้อยของที่นอนรวมไปถึงสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกครบรอบข้าง เพราะเจ้าหน้าที่อาจจะลืมที่จะเปลี่ยนหรือทำความสะอาดให้
- การเดินทางโดยรถไฟจะไม่มีการประกาศหรือเรียกชื่อของคุณเพื่อแจ้งให้คุณทราบว่าถึงสถานีปลายทางแล้ว เพราะฉะนั้นคุณควรตั้งเวลาหรือมันดูนาฬิกาอยู่เสมอ เพื่อให้รู้ว่าคุณใกล้ถึงสถานีปลายทางแล้วหรือยัง

Sänky oikein mukava, juna hieman äänekäs ja hytkyy välillä aika kovaa. Jos olet herkkäuninen niin en usko että saat nukuttua tässä junassa

Olin yläpedissä 4 hengen hytissä ja ilmastointi puhaltaa hieman liian kovalla. Toisaalta mielummin liian kovalla kuin ilmastointia ollenkaan.
Junassa myytiin juomia ja pientä snäkkiä.
Juna oli aikataulussa.

Poor. The check in did not provide any train ticket. We waited in lounge. Escorted to train correct carriage based on booking. Directed to another non Lamar express carriage. Then had to argue to be allowed on Lamen carriage. Then told the cabin and 2 berths on our booking not available then put in another cabin on Lamen with 1 top and 1 lower berth. Never booking Lamen or 12go again. Service of Vietnam Railways, far superior when booked directly with them!

Le train est cher, quand vous êtes sur les lits du haut il faut avoir fait ninja warrior pour réussir à monter et descendre dans votre lit. Pas de bouteille d’eau, toilette turc ( sale ). Nous avons pris des trains de nuit de bien meilleurs qualité au Vietnam.

Chất lượng ghế ngồi, mua vé, người phục vụ....đã tốt hơn nhiều so với lần trước 5 năm trước đây, có một số góp ý để cải thiện.
Nên có các bảng biểu hay thông báo ở nhiều nơi ở ga, trên toa tàu...đơn giản, dễ hiểu nội quy cho hành khách (và hướng dẫn thoát hiểm khi có sự cố). Chuyến đi của mình từ ga Dĩ An đến Biên Hòa (SPT2, toa 2) có 1 nhóm khách du lịch rất ồn ào cả khi tàu chạy, cười nói lớn giọng, đi lại, đứng choáng lối đi...ảnh hưởng đến người khác.

Nên có nơi để rác trên tàu và nhắc khác không vứt rác xuống sàn.
...
Ở các ga cần có bảng tên ga to và rõ để khách biết, nhất là với khách đi lần đầu, ít khi đi hay khách nước ngoài. Hiện giờ có ga có, có ga không.
...
Nếu có loa trên tàu thông báo tên ga sắp đến để khách biết thì rất tốt (thu âm sẵn tiếng Việt và tiếng Anh) để phát chứ không cần người đọc tại chỗ.

Ask locals or book somewhere else
We had a couple of experiences with 12go asia in our recent Vietnam trip and would not recommend this service.
First, you simply do not see all options available, nor necessarily the best options for your trip. So in any case I would recommend to ask locals, e.g., a dedicated receptionist. They will call someone and you pay much less and will probably be guided until you sit in the bus.
However, using this service, which in principle can bring you from A to B, there are problems. The first sign for ultra disrespectful behaviour towards the customers (apart from responses to online receptions; just have a look around) is the unneccessary insurance which is sold if you do not uncheck a, by default checked, box when you order. The second is the handling of receptions and inquiries.
This leads to the final problem I have with this service, which is our experience with a night bus.
When you book such a bus you will get a confirmation and a PDF with coordinates and a time of arrival. You are supposed to be there 60 minutes before departure. Fine. A taxi can bring you there. However, the point is that the bus, as in our case, will probably just not show up. The taxi driver had already kind of an idea that this will go wrong as he didnt know the place. However, checking the ticket he agreed that this has to be the we are supposed to go.
So you are there in the night, at a "bus stop" (a shady place next to the Highway; cockroaches, rats, busses and trucks honking included for free) and wait for >2 hrs before giving up. All the phone numbers of the bus company dont work. Problems getting taxi or hotel at that time in the night are self-explanatory - luckily we found friendly accomodation in our previous hotel.
After the bus company found it appropriate to just reschedule our trip to the next day (surprise: we couldnt just reschedule and our travel plans were messed up a bit) I contacted 12go. After a couple of mails back and forth with always another person on the 12go side, I found that they neither want to follow my demand of a refund, nor really care. So here it is my opinion about 12go. Have fun with the 30€, you can keep them. And all the Vietnam travelers: Just keep away- there are better options.

Interesting train ride….. we purchased 3 of the 1st class bunks and the forth bunk had a woman with her child and a huge box in the middle of the floor inside the room for 32 hours. We had no were to go but stand outside the room door in a narrow hallway for stretch our legs. We didn’t know that some trains have a small dining car that you can enjoy a little snack and stretch your legs, other wise your cooped up in the small 4 bed bunk room.

Its all about expectations! Are you going to get an extraordinary nights sleep.. no.. is it pristine clean ..no… but are you going to see beautiful countryside and share and moments with locals … yes… if you’re open to it… my time on board..babysat for 15 mins while a mum got food, met young elites head to toe in designer clothes and my last cabin buddy insisted on sharing food with me..as well as loadsa small interactions with kids and families…come prepared with what you are comfortable with, be open to embracing what it is…its not luxury but its not terrible, honestly apart from the clunky old train sounds its actually really peaceful.. and a true slice of being in here.. my only advice is… choose a bottom bunk and bring ear plugs and a hoodie…and try and time it so you get plenty of day time…the views are sometimes stunning sometimes nothing but overall .. super happy I did this.

The train was on time which was a nice surprise as I’d read that trains in Vietnam are always delayed. The staff were kind and very helpful. The seat was somewhat uncomfortable as it kept tilting back and the other passengers around me had trouble sharing the space but that shouldn’t reflect on the train operator. I would use this service again.

Wir hatten im Nachtzug von Ninh Binh nach Da Nang die 1.Klasse vierer Kabiene gebucht. Im Vorfeld hatten wir viel schlimmes über den Zug gehört uns allerdings trotzdem dafür entschieden. Wir waren positiv überrascht! Die Kabine war ok sauber. Wir hatten zu zweit alle vier Betten gebucht und das war auch gut so, denn sonst hätten wir keinen Platz für unsere Koffer gehabt, denn es wäre zu 4. sicherlich sehr eng geworden. Die Fahrt ist sehe laut und wackelig, dass muss man wissen. Wenn man Reisekrank wird empfindet sich vorher die Einnahme von Medikamenten, so ging es auch bei mir. Die Toilette ist eher schmutzig und Papier war nicht vorhanden. Daher empfehle ich Desinfektionsmittel und Toilettenpapier selber mit zunehmen. Am Morgen kam ein Wagen durch die Gänge und bot Pho und Kaffee an. Wer also was anderes Essen mag müsste es sich selbst mitbringen. Es gibt wohl auch einen Speisewagon, den haben wir allerdings nicht besucht. Fazit: Unter diesen Umständen würde ich wieder die Fahrt mit dem Zug nehmen.

There was no heating and it was cold. Still hot beverages and snacks were available. The shared WC was too small. Toilet paper was a available. The blanket provided was too thin for the cold weather. The cost was low for a 8hours trip. The personnel helpful and cheerful!

Don't do it for the comfort but for the experience. The train itself isn't too comfortable to sleep ok but facilities are all fine and everything ran on time. Quite the experience but don'r expect a great night of sleep!

For all my fellow travelers: this is a really good way to travel the eastcoast. The train is super punctual and it’s easy to find your seat. There is a warm meal, snacks and drinks you can purchase. I‘d recommend getting a bed because it can get quite uncomfortable being in a seat for such a long time. The landscape views between Da Nang and Hue are incredible. You will not miss your stop for there are announcements in English and the staff will also check in with you over time.
Cons: the beds are too small for western people and the toilets are dirty.

Travelled in a first class four bed compartment. Beds aren’t much more comfortable than in second class. As it seems, beet sheets won’t be renewed during the whole trip, so you might end up in someone else’s bed. Bring your own sleeping bag

With limited English the Viet Rail staff try very very hard to helpful. The locals on the train were friendly. The meals are tasty and cheap.

Nice car, in time. One stop in the mountains at a nice place to grab a coffee or go to toilet. Driver asked me for my hotel and dropped me off there.
Massageseats doesn't worked, but this didn't matter for me. Also no WiFi, only at the start and at the rest area.
Departure was little bit confusing, because Google maps showed me an other place, because there are two hotels with similar name in Nha Trang. (It's near the bridge) perhaps they could send GPS data instead of a confusing address.

We only got 2.class berths, but it was better than expected. But you should book the lower beds, getting up to the top is nearly acrobatic

Wir hatten eine zweier Kabine und für uns war das bisher die komfortabelste Art in Vietnam zu reisen. Es ist aber ein verhältnismäßig teurer Luxus. Je nach Länge der Reise sind ein bis mehrere Essen inklusive, es gibt aber keine vegetarischen Optionen (musste auf Reis mit Kohl zurück greifen). Klimaanlage lässt sich nicht selbstständig regulieren, das Zugpersonal übernimmt das aber für einen, wenn man darum bittet.

Train was okay way better than bus travel. Opt for the bottom bunks and 4 berth in our opinion. Toilets were cleaned regularly. Food is very limited so bring plenty of snacks :)

It was good becasuse I didn't need to use Vietnamese languages to get on the train.
It would be food if I can know numbers of coaches in a train and which coach #1 is the top or the end to know an area I should wait.
It was no space to put my suit case because it was heavy and it was also very tough to step up the stairs to the train becaue of my heavy suitcase.
I learned I shouldn't use trains when suitcases are heavy in Vietnam.

The train left right on time and there was no delay. The seats were quite comfy, though wasn’t very clean. During the trip we didn’t experience any inconvenience and certainly loved the AC. The conductor gave us a sign when the train reached our destination.

The train was punctual, only delay for 10 minutes when arriving in HCMC.
The view along the railway was awesome.
Good condition in train, there wasxwater dispenser in the train, the food price is also reasonable, 35k for one meal. No canteen in this train.
The toilet was a bit smelly, there was also some cockroaches in the train.
