- ความสะอาดบนชั้นโดยสารมักเป็นปัญหาที่สามารถพบเจอได้กับขบวนรถไฟชั้นที่ 2 และ 3 โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งห้องน้ำ

สถานีรับ-ส่งผู้โดยสารนั้น และระบบการจัดการออกแบบมาดี แต่การขนส่งนั้นทำผมลำบาก ด้วยตัวผมที่สูงเกิน 6 ฟุต มันลำบากมากๆ กับที่นั่งผู้โดยสารที่มันคับแคบเกินไป ระยะเวลาในการเดินทาง ฉันพอใจนะ แต่ ที่นั่งผู้โดยสารในขบวนรถไฟมันคับแคบ อยากให้ช่วยแก้ไขตรงนี้ด้วย

When taking the night train you can’t expect to get an amazing night of sleep, but the views in the morning and the overall experience definitely make up for it. Would recommend any time, despite the slight discomfort. (Also incredibly cheap!)

Missed our train due to traffic. Nobodys fault other than our own. Thankfully managed to catch the next train which left 15 minutes after. Only 40tbh per person 3rd class. Therefore it is much cheaper to buy directly from the station

It was what you could’ve expected. The train is one of the older ones and thus perhaps not as fresh and comfy as the newer trains, but you get from one place to the other quite smoothly. The seats in the 2nd class are pretty nice, they fold back a bit and are cushioned slightly better than airplane seats. Unfortunately the window by my seat didn’t close so I had to move to a 3rd class seat due to a downpour, but that was also fine. I wouldn’t book a 3rd class for the whole night though, as the seats are like stiff benches. Overall a pretty okay journey. The scenery in the morning was gorgeously green and it was nice to see the small villages passing by. The temperature in the train was good, we had a fan but no AC and the windows were open all the time, but for me (a Scandinavian) I was neigther cold not warm, except for during the stops when the heat hit a bit more. The toilets were pretty good, western style with provided toilet paper. Do bring food and drinks. Earplugs were in the entire time due to loud notice from the train itself, but otherwise no complaints

Staffs are really nice and warm. Sightseeing is the best part. Air conditioning is incredible and I was starting to shiver half of the trip. Getting a light long sleeve sweater will not make a mistake. Of course it’s a long way trip and take some food with you unless you wanna get what have on the train. WC is not that good. My seat is not that comfy as I expected. Better to get these things fixed. Overall, I would say 5/5. Hoping to get different experience with better facilities in the next time.

Good points : The train was on time , the staff was nice at the station and on the train , nothing to buy in (except in some villages some people enter to sell you food) but they give us some food several times (snacks, chicken and rice) and drinks (water and juice), toilets were still clean at the end of the trip with paper and soap , the staff cleaned the train 's floor several times
Enjoy : compare to European standard it s an old and slow train which honks often and you can feel when it accelerates but seats are ok and landscapes are green and beautiful so take this time as a relaxing break for yourself
Advice: take an extra battery ( not so many plugs) and a jumper ( it could be cold in with the AC) or a little blanket if you want to feel comfy during this 10-hour trip

beds are comfortable, there was a pillow and a blanket, light doesn’t turn off, space for your luggage was provided, ride was quite bumpy and loud, the temperature was nice but you should bring a hoodie or jacket, staff on the train station was really nice and helpful

It was well organised, we had sticker with different colour depending on our destination.

Please be aware of the station you need to go to, ask around - its closer to the city.
Train was comfortable and clean. Bring lots of warm things, it can get cold.

It was great! The upper bunk, however, should not come for the same price as the bottom one. I was prepared and brought my own sleeping bag, as the upper one gets very cold (and is way tinier)

Cheap, but such a painful experience.
If you have the money, I would highly recommend take something else such as night buses or planes.
-The train is really really noisy
-It’s getting pretty cold as all the windows and doors are open during the night
-Uncomfortable
-Quite impossible to sleep
-Vendors coming every 5 minutes
-Stop to every train station

It was great, the bed was set up by the personnel and everyone was kind and welcoming. The train ride though was a bit shaky, as it is used to be here but I could not have chosen better!

The windows of the train are generally left open, so it can get cold during the early morning hours. Also, for the same reason, it gets dusty from all the fumes and particles from the train blowing in, so it may be a good idea to wear a face mask

Really fun trip, the train number 9 is nice and new. Eye masks and a jumper are a must. Also, the food and drink is really overpriced, we agreed to coffee in the morning without knowing it was 130 B each. But would do it again

It was really comfortable, cozy and spacious. Enough privacy for each berth while sleeping. Toilets were super clean. The train staff service was also great. We could order dinner at the night train and in the morning people will bring tea or coffee to sell. Overall really great experience. Try to get a lower berth because, the early morning views are really calming and enjoyable.
I had trouble to find where the journey started. I went to hua lamphong station but that’s the old station and the train 9 was starting from the new station called Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal. So if anybody booking go directly to this station, also you can book the return ticket from the same station (even if the return is after 2 days) the cost was less too. The railway station is also really great with so many food choices and super neat.

Good train, quite clean and recent. On time.
Lovely to see the landscapes. Don’t forget to pick lower berth. The ones on top don’t have windows.
Only downside was the AC. Don’t forget to bring a hoodie with you, the train is freezing.
Being 185cm, the bed was too small for me but you don’t expect a king size bed in a train!

It was easy to book! Train took 7 hours, special express! Get a drink and kind of a sweet sandwich and a lunch meal which was quite ok. Seats are bit low standard, but I expected it.

Could have been 5 stars if it wasn't for the sod flying in the open windows and doors several times during my trip. Burning the fields I guess. Trying to close the shutters doesn't work, cause many of these cannot. But overall fine trip. Look forward th Ubon-BKK as my next :-)

Sadly :-( He didn't reply to my very politely asked questions regarding me getting off at the right stop - before Krung Thep/BKK. Think he knew and understod English allright, but did not reply to my Thai nor my English. He ONLY would inform of the next stop at some kind of village along the route. No service. But the new Chinese build train is great!

Train was very comfortable although was very noisy throughout the night so a bit hard to sleep

Trip was good and comfy but it took til morning for my ticket to come so book ahead.

The bed is good, make sure to bring soap and toilet paper

3rd class was better than expected! Very comfy seats, just a bit narrow. Little delay, but overall very good experience. Felt exhausted after a 14hrs ride, but that's normal. People selling food and drinks on a regular basis. Toilet was very clean! Overall a very good, but long experience!
