Ferry was great, lovely food shop onboard, got picked up at ferry port straight away, coach driver was very helpful and arrived at airport with plenty of time to spare , would highly recommend
No one reached out at the ferry dock to get me to airport, I had to figure it out on my own.. no biggie but you’d think they’d say hello when you’re wearing the sticker

Everything worked perfectly. My friend and I were scrambling to find a way to Vietnam, originally having plans to fly from Samui which fell through. Needing to get to Surat Thani airport instead, I managed to see a 5:30am ferry which I could not believe they even left that early. Ferry was on time, the bus was waiting at Don Sak, and everything went like clockwork.
The Trip was perfectly organized. We got these typical stickers when traveling in Thailand as a Tourist. Therewith nothing can go wrong when changing the vehicle. People at the pier from Phantip welcome you and help you to get the right Bus. When driving from the Pier to Surat Thani we had even a short break and we arrived in time.
The boat is a disgrace, zero maintenance, all rusted and broken down, toilets gross, no paper or soap. This boat is one step above shipwreck level. Only the air con is satisfactory. And the sea breeze, of course.
For the boat, 4 stars, for the minibus, 1 star. The boat is old and not super clean, but it’s a comfortable ride to Donsak pier because the boat is so big. No effect from the waves. However, our taxi driver drove very aggressively and many people were holding on for dear life after he narrowly avoided crashing into another car at pretty high speed and then continued to drive aggressively.
