Tumregeln är att ju snabbare båten är, desto högre är priset. Innan du bokar bör du bestämma dig för om du behöver en expresstjänst eller om långsammare alternativ också är acceptabla. Priserna för det sistnämnda är mycket mer överkomliga. Ändå kan skillnaden i restid vara riktigt stor, så kontrollera alltid hur lång tid färjeturen tar innan du bokar din biljett. Dessutom kan tillgången på vissa klasser vara begränsad och kräver alltid förhandsbokning. Kom alltid ihåg att kontrollera vilken brygga båten avgår från och lägger till vid för att välja den mest bekväma för din fortsatta resa och läs andra resenärers recensioner.

- Olika biljettklasser finns ofta tillgängliga så att du kan välja det pris, den komfortnivå, den restid och det schema som passar dig bäst.
- Boka online för att spara tid - på många sträckor är det ett absolut måste att boka i förväg. I första hand gäller det längre resor, resor under hektiska perioder som nationella helgdagar, långhelger eller högsäsong. Det är en bra idé att boka minst flera dagar före resedatumet om din rutt också trafikeras av ett begränsat antal turer per dag.
- Att resa med färja är roligt. Det är alltid trevligt att titta på de platser du har besökt från en annan vinkel - ja, i det här fallet - från vattnet. Nästan alla destinationer ser fantastiska ut från vattnet och du har ett utmärkt tillfälle att ta lysande bilder.

- Att bli sjösjuk är det största problemet för färjeresenärer. Ju längre resan är och ju mer ojämnt havet är, desto större är risken att magen protesterar. För att göra resan roligare, ta medicinen en halvtimme före resan och följ våra rekommendationer ovan.
- Färjeresor är mycket väderberoende. Det innebär att på regniga dagar kan avgångarna försenas eller till och med ställas in. Det är inte ovanligt att man stänger färjeförbindelserna även med större öar under stormigt väder i flera dagar. Det innebär att du bör ha denna möjlighet i åtanke om din färjeresa är kopplad till ett flyg - risken att komma till fastlandet senare än väntat kan vara stor under vissa perioder.

Personalet på Na Dan Pier var meget flinke og hjælpsomme. Skipper på speedbåden havde godt styr på de 2x250 hk Buschaufføren var super god kørte fornuftigt og sikker i den meget fine bus. Stor ros til ham. Færgefarten til Koh Chang gik fint det samme med transporten til hotellet.

Only left half an hour late. Which seems reasonable for Thailand. The ride was very good. One toilet break. The speed boat to the island was very fast and comfortable. Transfer from bus to boat was with a small open car with no doors. Very nice. Waited 20 minutes between bus and boat. People got some food meanwhile.

Bus ist pünktlich losgefahren,
2 Halte zum Pinkeln gemacht.
Als wir mit dem Bus angekommen sind wurden wir direkt von der Crew abgeholt und nach 5Minuten warten sind wir sicher und gemeinsam als Gruppe zur Fähre gegangen.
Dort nochmal 5Minuten gewartet.
Die Fahrt mit dem Speed Boat (Fähre) war schnell, teilweise etwas rucklig, aber sehr angenehm.
Insgesamt war ich voll zufrieden, vor Allem zu diesem günstigen Preis

Really helpful staff when I got to Ekkhami station early and asked whether I could take an earlier bus. The immediately sorted this out. The bus was comfortable enough and there was a toilet break dtop. On arrival in Rayong everyone is so organised even to the extent that they had my name on a list when I got there. They gave us a bottle of water and out us on the boat and helped with the luggage.

Departed from Bangkok about 10 mins after original 9:30 time, and we had few stops picking up some locals. Arrived to Ban Phe pier around 1pm, then transferred over to a speed boat and arrived to Koh Samet by 1.30. All were very well organised!

We started our journey at 8:45 because the bus driver was waiting for customers which were late. We drove with a Minivan to the Pier, switched to the Speedboat and arrived at around 13:00 at the pier.
Overall the transfer was great and we would book it again!

Good clean ride and on time on Sunday morning to Koh Samet. As soon as we checked in at the counter in Ekkamai bus station we were able to get on the bus. FYI the tickets have the seat number on them. Bus was maybe half full. Once on a lady came to check the tickets and count everyone. The bus was clean and the seats wide and comfy enough for a size 18 US lady :D Driver did a good job, he had a 'co pilot' who gave everyone a bottle of water as soon as we departed. Maybe 30min later once we were out of the city the same guy can around and gave us all McChicken sandwiches - what?! How are they even making a proffit with these gas prices and MacDonalds? 555 But everyone was happy munching away so khopkun ka! We made a short restroom stop in ChonBuri province. Then maybe 1hr later already we got to Rayong, Nuanthip Pier. No stopping by to pickup more travelers, no going through Pattaya. Nice! There we got off the bus and those with specific sticker (given on the bus according to what boat or ferry company would take us to the island) were taken for a few min in a songtaew to their office and then again to the correct pier for the boat. We had chosen the ferry which takes a bit longer than the speedboat (max 30min ride only though) and is less bumpy ride and cheaper. We were just 4 passengers on the cute pink ferry and 100% enjoyed the ride. I hope they will get more passengers so all locals can earn more. Would definitely pick PN Group bus + ferry again.

The minibus was in the twilight of its life. The window next to us rattled the entire journey. Also, a bearing in the transmission made a bad noise - the entire journey. The suspension and shock absorption gave out at the slightest bump and would not pass inspection. The worst bus journey I've had in three weeks.
Stuff of PN Group was very helpfull and lovely, so thanks to them our trip was not a total swizzle.

Kind staff, driver drives safe, little bit old bus but comfortable seats. Free water is great, but the mcd burger is not healthy and unnecessery. Good service overall.
