Для ночной поездки вы можете выбрать первый или второй класс в спальном вагоне, в противном случае к вашим услугам “сидячие” вагоны с мягкими или жесткими сиденьями. При выборе класса вагона стоит принимать во внимание как особенности маршрута, так и его продолжительность. В вашем поезде могут быть спальные места первого класса, но вы просто не сможете забронировать их, если ехать вам нужно будет всего пару часов. В целом, места второго класса - оптимальный выбор для более длительных поездок, а мягкие сиденья будут идеальным решением, если поездка займет не более 4-5 часов.
Обращаем внимание, что в странах СНГ применяется иная классификация вагонов. Практически на любом направлении вы можете выбрать один из следующих вариантов:
СВ - двухместное купе, часто имеют персональную душевую и туалет, wi-fi, включены стандартные удобства: спальные места, кондиционер, розетки и т.п.
Купе на 4 человека - оснащены базовыми удобствами: спальные места, кондиционер, розетки и т.п.
Плацкарт - купе открытого типа, вагон “общий” на всех пассажиров. Спальные места и розетки имеются, а вот кондиционер может работать значительно хуже, т.к. работает централизованно на весь вагон.
На некоторых поездах могут встречаться “сидячие” купе или вагоны открытого типа, а также люкс-вагоны повышенной комфортности.
Выбирать тот или иной класс стоит, прежде всего, в зависимости от продолжительности поездки. Если путь займет несколько часов, то целесообразно будет сэкономить и провести это время в плацкарте или в вагоне с местами для сидения. Более же длительные поездки, наоборот, рекомендуется осуществлять в более приватных и комфортабельных купе с лежачими местами.
Плюсы и минусы поездки на поезде
Плюсы:
- Пробки! Точнее, их полное отсутствие. В час пик, в выходные, в самый горячий сезон - на ж/д направлениях пробок не бывает никогда
- Простой и понятный процесс онлайн-бронирования. Еще не так давно, для покупки билетов было необходимо лично ехать на вокзал. Теперь же, купить билет на поезд можно в несколько кликов мышью.
- Поезда - это относительно дешево. Стоимость билетов на поезд в большинстве случаев значительно ниже в сравнении с авиабилетами. При этом, для некоторых направлений время в пути может быть почти одинаковым.
- Хотя ж/д транспорт, безусловно, медленнее авиационного, ж/д вокзалы часто расположены в черте (а то и в самом центре) города, что дополнительно экономит время на дорогу, в то время как аэропорты почти всегда находятся далеко за городом.
- На некоторых направлениях доступны услуги класса люкс, такие как купе с душем и туалетом или бар.
Минусы:
- На большинстве направлений (особенно это касается поездов дальнего следования) поездка на поезде все же занимает больше времени, чем авиаперелет.
- Хоть поезда в целом и ходят по расписанию, опоздания все же иногда случаются и это надо учитывать. В редких случаях, задержки могут растягиваться на часы. Обязательно помните об этом, когда составляете маршрут путешествия - если вы планируете пересадку на самолет, то билет на поезд лучше забронировать с хорошим запасом по времени.
- Слабое место практически всех поездов - чистота туалетов.
- Поезд может делать много остановок на коротком отрезке пути, а остановки далеко не всегда объявляются, что может легко внести путаницу. Также, нужно быть готовым к тому, что ваша остановка будет посреди ночи, а поезд простоит на станции всего несколько минут.

Even though we originally booked 2 lower births in a cabin. After a couple of stops the guard insisted that I moved to the upper birth to allow a lady to have the lower one. But the upper birth was comfortable once I had managed to get up there. The guard knocked on the door to let us know that our station was next and directed us to our exit.

If you ignore the rough tracks the train is driving on, it’s perfect. But thats everywhere the same. With a sleeping pill the time flies. Everything was good, other companies have nicer wagons, but it was clean and we got small bags with bananas and water. So all in all it’s good to travel with.

The 4 berth on Livi is not as good as the 2 berth on Vietnam rail. Random people come in and out for different stops and the cabin door is a bit loose rattling on every move. The Livi operator just came and disappeared. No wifi available

Nothing like VIP … the place is just basic, not clean. The staff at the station was not aware of this kind of reservation. After 15 minutes and calling someone they gave me a ticket with a different coach number … don’t expect much… if you want a VIP treatment, book a premium car not the train!

The Staff are very helpful, my friend and I had the 4x vip sleeper to ourselves which made things a lot more comfortable! We both slept on and off, you kind of get use to the swaying and stopping and starting motion, it’s a little noisy so take ear plugs if you’re a light sleeper

Super moyen de transport les cabines sont propres et climatisées, mis à dispo avec le prix bananes eau et coca ainsi que des gâteux secs.Il n’est pas nécessaire de prendre à manger avant de partir des vendeurs ambulants passent dans les wagons et quand le train s’arrête aux stations qui sont multiples vous pouvez aussi acheter aux vendeurs sur le quai .Je le recommande car c’est un moyen simple et pratique pour se rendre à hue

Bathrooms were disgusting, my cabin was nice and clean, but one woman was complaining of roaches in hers. It was an ok experience. Train was bumpy so was unable to get a good nights rest, but it could have been worse.

Very nice trip. The beds and room were tidy, blankets adequate. Nice free snacks and drinks.. Star of the trip was the scenery- Amazing. Toilet wasn't too scary by the journeys end. Hardest part was the confusion of checkin at Hanoi Train Station. But this was worked out by us and the rest was easy.

We travelled with Livitrans and on the voucher, there was written that the paper itself is a boarding pass. But the staff did not let us in. Luckily, we asked a lady in the near bistro (she was surprised as we were) and she called someone else who came with our tickets. It was one big chaos! The staff in the trained asked us if we want tea or coffee in the morning, but in the morning, they wanted us to pay for it. For comparison - from Hanoi to Lao Cai, we used Fanxipan Express and the morning refreshment was for free, beds were longer and air condition was fine. Air condition in Livitrans was really cold - people sleeping downstairs had to sleep in jackets and hats!

Reise / Betreung bestens!
Die Vorinformation betreffend dem Umtausch des Vouchers in das Zugsticket dürfte aber besser sein. Ich ging 2 Tage früher im Bahnhof zu den von Ihnen erwähnten Schalter. Dort wurde mir mitgeteIlt, dass der Umtausch eine Stunde vor Abfahrt erfolgt. Dies geschah aber wieder nicht an einem Schalter sondern bei einem Mann, den ich angesprochen habe, weil er mehrere Tickets in der Hand hielt. Dieser Mann sollte mindestens in den vielen Leuten in der Skchalterhalle ein Hinweisschild bei sich tragen!

Couchettes tres dures, train brinqueballant, isolation phonique inexistante, les gens fument dans les cabines, l odeur passe partout.
Cabine relativement propre, confort relativement ok, avec eau et bananes offertes. Les enfant ont eux adoré l experience.

Train propre, à l'heure. Accueil en gare 40min avant le départ et accompagnement jusqu'aux cabined. Personnel serviable et a l'écoute (pour baisser la clim par exemple). À disposition pour chaque passager : une bouteille d'eau, une de coca, une banane, un en-cas sucré et une petite lingette rafraîchissante.
Les couchettes sont un peu fermes.
En résumé, une bonne expérience avec ce train !

Très bonne expérience pour ce train de nuit. Les compartiments sont propres, des bouteilles d’eau, biscuits et bananes sont sont à disposition dans la cabine. Le wagon bar propose des plats de bonne qualité et à prix très raisonnable (50 000 d pour des nouilles au bœuf). Le train est à l’heure et le personnel agréable . Seul bémol les toilettes pas très propres.

We had a voucher four four people in a 4 person VIP sleeper. I went to the station the day before to try to get the actual tickets with cabin numbers but was told to return a half an hour before the train. We arrived an hour before and were told to wait and then someone ushered us through to the train with just the voucher. He was a helpful employee with no English but he got us to our cabin. The cabin looked fine but the teenage girls with us were freaked out by three different bugs going up the wall. Air con was nice and cold. It is great to leave from city centre in HCMC and arrive into the city centre of Nha Trang. We didn't see much scenery because we went overnight but previously enjoyed good views on longer routes. The toilets were very basic but functional.

Sleeper car looked absolutely nothing like the pictures and the cabin was clearly much, much older! However, linen was clean, room was also quite clean and had enough space for all the luggage. Air con was ultra high (which was okay for most, but got a bit too cold overnight). Train left and arrived on time. Was expecting (based on previous reviews)horrible toilets, but they were, actually, very normal!

La cabine était propre et nous avions un en-cas (biscuits et bananes) avec des bouteilles d'eau et de coca. Il y a possibilité de compléter son repas. Sinon c'est très facile d'accès pour trouver son wagon et sa chambre et le personnel nous renseigne si besoin . C'est une chouette expérience par contre il ne faut pas s'attendre à passer la nuit la plus reposante .

VIP x 4 sleeper was not as expected. Reasonably clean however loads of bugs everywhere including small cockroaches. 2 free bottles of water but no snacks. Mixed male and female and train ran almost an hour late. My standards were never high to begin with but this was slightly lower than expected. Also train does not just stop at Da Nang but multiple stops. Ensure to ask when you are arriving at your destination and set an alarm to wake you up around that time. It would be easy to miss your stop.

Not sure if the fault here lies with 12goasia or livitrans. As per many other reviews on tripadvisor this did not seem to be a livitrans service but a standard vnr train. Whilst I’m not bothered by this and the train was fine it was not as advertised and the communication about how to pick up tickets was awful. Just so people know you exchange the voucher at the desk in Da Nang station for your tickets...

As with other reviews, there was no Livitrans ticket place at HCMC. We had to ask platform staff for help. Carriage nothing like pictures and no different from standard despite paying extra. Small bottle of water and a face wipe was all that was provided. AC worked. Bring earplugs!

Journey was pleasant and train ran roughly to time. The only issue was boarding the train. Despite our printout from 12go stating go straight to coach 11 and the staff at the Livitrans desk in Hue station also saying go straight to train, we were nearly refused boarding due to the on board staff not understanding our ticket. We were allowed on and after around 10minutes the Livitrans rep on board ushered us to coach 9 and gave us our actual ticket. This actual ticket did not match the berth we were in or our passport numbers

The train ride was typical, the compartment we were in had A/C and if you kept the door shut you could keep out the cigarette smoke smell, however it was infested with small cockroaches. If you have the option to take a sleeper bus instead I highly recommend that route.

Compartment was simple but had sheets and covers, complimentary soft drinks and some biscuits. We boarded at Dong Hoi ( not Hue) but that went smoothly. Thanks GoAsia you have been so helpful with all our Vietnamese travel bookings. Highly recommended

Der Waggon war ähnlich demjenigen, den wir bereits auf der Strecke NhaTrang nach Danang hatten, also weit entfernt von Luxus und VIP! Wir mussten in Hue am Bahnhof 1Std.15Min. auf den Zug warten, doch gab es wenigstens eine Ankündigung auf Englisch. Der Schlafwagenschaffner war freundlich und entschuldigte sich für den Mistkübel, der seinen Inhalt an Nudeln und Saft in unser Abteil beim Umfallen ergoss, und reinigte den Boden sofort. Er überzog die Betten frisch und gestatte uns, die beiden unteren zu benützen, was in Anbetracht unseres Alters hilfreich war. Er brachte einige Snacks, Wasser, 1CocaCola und 1Bier. Als wir das Cola gegen ein zweites Bier tauschen wollten, verweigerte er das. Dafür servierte er uns um 4Uhr Früh einen Kaffee um 50.000dong vor der Ankunft in Hanoi. Wir fanden den Preis von über 60 Euros pro Bett in Anbetracht der gebotenen Qualität weit überhöht.

As we arrived After 5pm we showed our Voucher to the Lady in charge of the announcements at the Train Station. She wrote the numbers 1 and 2 for our beds on it and told us that it was ok and that we should wait. The Train arrived 45 min. late. We had to Cross the Tracks for getting into our Coach no.9. The bedsheets were clean, but the Toilette very Dirty and no paper. We got just ohne bottle of water and no Snacks. There was no Information or announcements in English. I would not call this a luxurious VIP Train at all.

They either overbooked the train or had people in rooms they were not supposed to be in because there was not a room for us originally. It took some time to get worked out. Very noisy train.

What I expected,the train was ok very rough sheets, annoyingannouncements quite late at night. But the biggest and most avoidable problem is the voucher instructions very stressful people boarding train and you cant exchange ticket.a agent arrives kiar before but we did not know that was going to happen.

When I did the booking, I hadn't realised that I would receive only a voucher (without seat reservations) to change into a ticket at the train station, so when we arrived at Nha Trang, I was told at the desk to come back again 30 minutes before departure of the train. But since I didn't want to take the risk to end up with the upper benches in the compartment, I went to a different desk, and the staff noted the seat reservation in ballpoint pen on my voucher. When I returned 30 minutes before departure, I was given a scanning printout, so everything was fine in the end, if not a bit inconvenient. According to the display panel the train should leave from platform 2, but everybody told us to wait on platform 1. When the train arrived finally, we all crossed the tracks to board the train from the "wrong" side - a new experience. The compartment was okay (no cockroaches), but due to the air conditioning extremely cold in the upper benches (it must have been like 18 degrees Celsius). In the night the air conditioning stopped from time to time, so it was more bearable. In the morning there was an announcement via loudspeakers and by the conductor also to get ready for arrival at Da Nang. It was a good experience and I slept well during the night.

Brilliant Trip! Nothing like travelling in a train, beats a bus and plane and you get to meet and engage with other travellers, sleep, eat, view the countryside. If the journey is not just the destination, this is the way to travel, just Brilliant. Train was great, complementary drinks provided (bottle of Coke and water), steward service for most consumables, including a bottle of wine. Highly recommended.

Not luxury. But ok . No insects. Bed linnen was clean. Ac not working properly it was very hot during the night. No toiletpaper in toilet no cleaniglist there. Floors very dirty. Friendly staff and theride wen well.
