Muy buen viaje. Todo a tiempo y organizado. Es agotador porque el tren no tiene AC pero se comparte con locales que hacen el viaje muy bueno. Se atraso un poco pero bien, sobre todo por el valor.

Of course there were some things not going great, like the train dealys and the fact the ticket said 10pm and the ferry was 11pm. But: the beds at the Night boat are quite good, the staff there and in Chumphon were helpful and the experience of the train is worth any dealys. Really enjoyed the experience.

First with a night boat to Champhon where you get your bed, blanket and a pillow and the room have AC, you can sleep outside too if you want. In the port was waiting for us mini van that took us to a train station and after that with the 3th class train to Hua Hin. Was actually nice experience traveling with the Thai people. And you can see a lot of landscape if you can't sleep in a train. But it takes couple of hours to arrive to destination.

Alles hat super geklappt. Es war sehr wellig und einige fühlten sich unwohl, am besten man sitzt hinten. Koffer werden am Pier herausgegeben.

Driver too quick, too risky and rude with the luggage. Road very bumpy, so uncomfortable ride.

Priority booking was nice but probably not necessary. Airport is very small.. you need to go 150m to baggage claim and another 50m to get to the bus. With priority booking the driver stays in front of the arrival gate at the Airport and has your name written on it. ;) Bus left earlier since there were not many people. We drove to Chumpon and there had time to get some food and drinks at a thai street market. We then drove in a open truck to the fairy which was an adventure. The fairy i mean. Dont expect luxury. Bunk beds with fresh sheets and a planket. The AC was turned on before we departured so if you just wanted to sleep you could. Dont forget earplugs. There will be at least one guy snoring! Other than that everything fine and smooth.

Bought tickets online and we printed the confirmation/itinerary at the hotel. Had a WhatsApp message the night before our trip from someone at KP to ask us to collect tickets from the ticket office on the pier. On the day we were told to collect the tickets in line on the pier, which was simple enough. Journey and staff/crew were fine. Girls toilets weren't working but still being used - my partner said the boys were working fine. Journey took 15 to 30 minutes longer than planned.

Tres bien. J'ai été très contente d'avoir pu faire mes réservations par avance sur 12go asia. Si vous prenez le ferry puis le train il est conseillé de prendre les 2 lors de votre reservation. Sur place super organisation. Prevoir quand même d'arriver un peu plus tôt pour retirer vos billets car sur la dernière heure avant le départ il y a du monde mais c'est gérable. Tres bonne expérience je renouvelerai

More information would not have been bad (from where to where the bus goes, when to get off the ferry). The wrong port was on our ferry ticket. The arrival time was 2 hours later than stated.

our train from Hua Hin had 1h delay. But we are lucky this transport wait for us! Great! The minibus was in good shape and just 3-5 persons in it. The driver went fast but always in speed limit. In halfway they changed driver. The trip Chumphon - Ranong was about 2.5 hours. I Iwould book again.

Pris par van à l'hôtel Chalicha Resort direction un grand bus à la station de train puis transfert vers le quai d'embarquement ! Super Top rien à dire.

Rode 3rd class from Chumphon to Bangkok, quite an experience! Locals sold food and drinks constantly during the trip and was a great way to experience the country side with fully open windows. I wouldn’t recommend doing anything over 6 hours though (our trip was 10 hours by the time the train arrived in Bangkok...trains are never on time in Thailand) and be sure to not wear white as by the end we were quite dirty from the dust. Otherwise a fun experience full of Thai people.

We had a bit problems cuz boat broke down, but man in the office in Chumphon was very helpful and great men. All thanks to him! Night boat was okay but too early arriving on the island 4am

Informations difficiles à trouver concernant l’embarcation sur le bateau.
Nuit calme, lits confortables pour 1 nuit, propreté raisonnable.
Bonne organisation pour transport taxi+bus.

Small sits during an 8 Hours trip. We did this as a result of no tickets for train, 12go Asia should arrange these tickets but did not manage to get the tickets. If you are tall, i won’t reccomend it. Or book two Seats for 1 person.

The bus trip to the catamaran was arranged perfectly. However, the catamaran trip to the island itself was really crowded. It meant that, even though it rained, a lot of people had to sit outside on benches or on little stools.

Only problem we had was there was no one to handle the luggage at the end of the trip. So when we docked 100 people rushed to a large pile of luggage. By the time we got to the pile we only had 1/2 our luggage. The other 1/2 was on the dock. I’m guessing someone picked up our bag and left it there. Other then was the ride was good, offered snacks, and the bathrooms were surprisingly clean.

Two very unfriendly, one very friendly guy we’re operating there. The bus driver in Chumphon was driving way too late so I didn‘t get my ferry and you had Tonware another hour.

Perfect service. Pick up at the hotel by minivan, transfert to the pier, easy checkin. Ferry crossing took Some more time although legt the harbour at plannen time but crossing was fine, Seats and security all ok

Bus journey was fine, not too long. Bus was pretty worn out but we got there in one piece.
Catamaran journey was ok too. Earplugs are a good idea as it is loud, as you'd expect. Noise cancelling headphones plus music helped me sleep.

Quando siamo arrivati con un van alla stazione di Chumphon ci aspettava la receptionista per il ferry ( l'autista l'aveva chiamata per prevenirla dal nostro arrivo).Ci hanno portato al pier, il ferry è un pochino vecchio , un po rumoroso ma i letti eranno confortevole con lenzuole puliti e aria condizionata. Bellissimo viaggio, partenza alle 22 e 30 arrivo alla 5 di mattina a koh tao.....da fare per chi vuole fare un traversata economica (10euro) e non si aspetta la cabine di lusso

Really good service. Arrived at the office at Chumpon railway station, just as described, they had my booking immediately, gave me ferry ticket voucher, and took me to the ferry. No stress at all.

I was at the train station earlier than expected, so I was allowed to take an earlier bus without paying extra, which was great. The girl at the check in office was very friendly and helpfull. My seat was very uncomfortable and there where a lot of stops on the way, picking up and dropping off things. So not the best trip ever, but we got there on time for a good price, so I’m happy enough.

All worked really well. Booked on line. Just showed confirmation to awaiting girl outside the train station. They got us on an earlier bus that was just leaving so we arrived aheah of schedule..... Excellent!

Man spart Zeit durch die Nutzung der Nachtfähre. Ein Schlafraum mit ca 20-30 Personen ist nicht jedermanns Sache. Es gab aber eine warme Bettdecke und ein Kopfkissen. uns ist es gelungen 4 Stunden zu schlafen. Die Wartezeit auf kho Tao bis es mit einer weiteren Fähre weitergeht war bei uns recht lang ( von 4.00 bis 6.30 Uhr). Fairnesshalber sollte dieser Zwischenstopp auch bei der Beschreibung der Reisedauer erwähnt werden. Zudem sollte deutlich gesagt werden, dass auf der nachtfähre noch nicht einmal der Kauf von Wasser möglich ist. Insgesamt waren wir aber zufrieden, da wir den abreisetag noch voll am Strand genießen konnten und am ankunftstag schon ab 11.00 Uhr wieder am Strand lagen

All was organized well: the lady from the info office brought me in her private car to the place where the van started, with the mini van I traveled to Ranong bus station, where a "3 wheeled motorbike taxi" was already waiting to bring me to the Payam Pier. From there I took the speed boat to the Island - very convenient trip! :-) Only the arrival time on the island wasn't right (it was stated 10 am in the itenary, but the next speed boat only went at 10:30am), but I could rearrange my pick up from there, so just a minor problem.

Sleeper ferry from Chumphon to Ko Tao is not to be recommended. The operator lets you wait for ages, the boat is old and dirty, sleeping is crampy on mats on the floor (no proper beds as suggested in the photo's!) No safety measures or instructions whatsoever, we found the life vests ourselves and selected the few that were intact (just in case).
The boat arrives at Koh Thao at five in the morning, continuing to Koh Phangan requires another transfer (and waiting on the pier for more than an hour).
