Het is normaal gesproken niet mogelijk om een ticketklasse te kiezen als je met een busje reist. Toch kun je bij de vervoerder navragen welk type busje op jouw route rijdt. Sommige busjes bieden plaats aan slechts 9 tot 10 passagiers, andere aan maximaal 15 passagiers. In het eerste geval heb je meer beenruimte, bredere stoelen en een comfortabelere rit. - Busjes komen vaak op bestemmingen waar geen bus of trein komt. Dit omvat secundaire steden en kleinere dorpen.
- In de meeste gevallen zijn busjes de snelste manier om relatief korte afstanden over land af te leggen, simpelweg omdat ze kleiner zijn dan bussen.
- Met busjes kun je uitstappen op een gunstiger punt onderweg en niet noodzakelijkerwijs bij de terminal. Dat kan je in sommige gevallen veel tijd en geld besparen.
Nadelen van reizen per busje
- Sommige busjes kunnen behoorlijk krap zijn en bieden weinig ruimte voor bagage. Eigenlijk geldt dat voor bijna alle busjes. Als je meer dan één tas, koffer of rugzak hebt, kan het een goed idee zijn om een extra zitplaats voor je bagage te kopen. Helaas betaal je dan wel dubbel voor je reis.
- Het is de moeite waard om te controleren of je busje volgens een vaste dienstregeling rijdt of pas vertrekt wanneer het vol is. In dat laatste geval kun je soms lang moeten wachten, omdat het op bepaalde routes behoorlijk wat tijd kan kosten voordat alle plaatsen bezet zijn.
- Je moet weten dat chauffeurs berucht zijn om hun snelle rijstijl. Zelfs de meest gerenommeerde bedrijven slagen er soms niet in ervoor te zorgen dat chauffeurs zich aan de snelheidslimieten houden. Ook als de chauffeur er niet op aandringt, moet je altijd je veiligheidsgordel dragen.
- Als je gemakkelijk wagenziek wordt en je reis kronkelige wegen bevat, is de kans groter dat je last krijgt van wagenziekte in een busje dan in een gewone bus. Neem voor de zekerheid ongeveer een half uur voor vertrek een middel tegen wagenziekte in.

Een prima georganiseerde rit. Keurig op tijd. Onderweg nog een paar tussenstops om locals in en uit te laten stappen. De chauffeur kent zijn verantwoordelijkheden! Klein minpuntje was zijn radio voorkeurzender😂.

Overall, the van ride went well. Very quick and smooth ride.
Unfortunately, there was some miscommunication between 12go and the fact that pick up from your hotel is included in ticket price. So we paid money to travel 20mins to get to the 'pick up' location which was slightly frustrating.

Some past reviews got me worried but this specific trip was good. The van would leave PP to Port Barton at 8:00am. I arrived at the Rocaro terminal around 7:15 am, they called someone, put me in an empty van, and drove me to a second van further up. This one had 4 other travelers inside. There was a quick stop for snacks/bathroom and soon we arrived in P. Barton. The trip was around 2 hours. It gets a bit bumpy sometimes but nothing too bad. Also, the driver was never too fast or reckless. In fact, he was super polite and helpful.

Los conductores van excesivamente rápido, conducen como locos, dando acelerones y frenazos. Si un animal se hubiera cruzado nos habríamos matado. Utilizamos este servicio dos veces para ir a lugares distintos y en ambos casos llegamos a nuestro destino una hora antes.
Por otro lado, puede salir mucho más barato contratandolo desde allí si negocias el precio.

Was nervous after reading some of the reviews but we had a great experience! Nice clean van, wasn't full, good music playing and didn't hit any dogs. The crew was very helpful and nice. We got in about an hour earlier then expected. They do drive a little crazy but nothing you wouldn't expect if you've been to southern Asia before

La organización previa un poco caótica, hubo gente que se quedó fuera y tenían su billete. Pero buscaron alternativas. Nosotros teníamos reserva, llegamos con tiempo y pudimos coger los últimos dos asientos. Conductor al estilo Filipino, súper veloz, así que llegamos antes de la hora especificada.

Pro’s: The transport arrived 20 mns before as scheduled at the hotel in PP.
Con’s: The van was crowded, no safety belts. The driver drove like a maniac! Dangerous driving to pass other vehicles, in curves, in the villages on the highway. The Recaro should take more care about traffic safety instead of speed.

Personne n'est venu nous chercher à l'hôtel, nous avons dû nous rendre au terminal. En appelant la hotline, on nous confirme que ce service n'existe pas...
Le voyage s'est bien passé, le chauffeur nous a même déposé devant notre hôtel à Puerto Princesa. Malheureusement, un philippin qui avait payé deux fois moins cher que nous, voire moins, avait transporté du poisson dans de la glaçe, posé au dessus de tous les autres bagages. Résultat, toutes nos affaires sentent le poisson et on arrive toujours pas à faire partir l'odeur. Vu la quantité de vêtements ça va nous coûté très cher en frais de nettoyage. Entre 100 et 150 pesos le kilos, ça nous double le coût du voyage...

Good trip. Just a little worried about exceeding the loading capacity of the vehicle. We could clearly hear squeaking/creaking sounds throughout the journey with every turn and bump along the road. That is something that should be checked and attended to to help ensure passenger safety.

The driver drove way too fast everywhere. hit a dog along the way. Because the driver is driving so fast, you are shaken back and forth during the ride so you cannot sleep and you are shaken back and forth. The van we were transported in was completely full and almost no room for your legs.
Advice: pay a little bit more for a larger bus and hopefully also a safer fare.

We had several vans during our stay in Palawan. I think they are pretty much all the same : a lot of people in it (they add a "fake" chair to fit more people), too cold air conditionning, crazy driving... And sometimes also they are late (yet, not in this one). They give you no information about the place where they drop you at the end (I had the feeling the "final stop" depends on their mood/how well you negociate with them). The places behind the driver can be reserved, but they reserve it for 4 people as they are only 2 "nice" spots.
So for this ride, this way fine, but I almost believe this was luck... !

The van departed on time and was comfortable, professional etc. My only objection is that I paid to go to the airport and when we arrived at the Puerto Princessa Terminal, we were told that it was the last stop and that we’d have to pay a taxi. He said we didn’t pay enough. Only upon objection from myself and other passengers who booked directly to the airport did the driver agree. It felt very disrespectful to be hustled like that, even if it is all part of the game.

One star for bringing me to destination. Second for being on time (even before, actually). As for the cons... for the whole way I (and many others) was terrified by how the crazy driver was acting on the road. Believe me, I'm not scared of speed and difficult roads etc. and have driven in dozens of crazy places (as well cars as motorcycles) and have never been so shocked by the idiot behind the wheel. Going with 14 people inside, all the luggage on the roof(!) like he was racing for life. Sick man - one day he's gonna hurt somebody. No exaggeration at all.
