Nadelen van reizen per busje
- Sommige busjes kunnen nogal krap zijn met beperkte ruimte voor bagage. Wel, eigenlijk bieden bijna alle busjes beperkte bagageruimte en als u meer dan één tas, koffer of rugzak heeft, kan het een goed idee zijn om een aparte zitplaats voor uw bagage te kopen. U betaalt dan wel dubbel voor uw reis, helaas.
- Het is de moeite waard om te controleren of uw busje volgens schema rijdt of vertrekt wanneer het vol is, want in het laatste geval kunt u te lang wachten, aangezien het op verschillende routes behoorlijk lang kan duren voordat een busje vol is.
- U moet weten dat chauffeurs berucht zijn om hun snelle rijstijl. Zelfs de meest gerenommeerde bedrijven slagen er soms niet in de chauffeurs ertoe te brengen zich aan de snelheidsbeperkingen te houden. Zelfs als de chauffeur er niet op aandringt, moet u altijd uw veiligheidsgordel vastgespen.
- Als u gemakkelijk wagenziek wordt en uw reis kronkelige stukken bevat, is de kans groter dat u last krijgt van wagenziekte wanneer u met een busje reist dan wanneer u met de bus reist. Neem uw medicijnen voor de zekerheid een half uur voor uw vertrek in.

Wir sollten den Voucher in eine Fahrkarte umtauschen und sind deswegen durch die halbe Stadt gefahren (4h). Dort sagte man uns wir können den Voucher vor der Abreise vorzeigen, das genügt. So hat es dann auch funktioniert. Schade um den halben Tag!!!

Very straight-forward, easy to find collection point, and the driver was helpful with getting me transport for me and my luggage for the onward part of my journey. I arrived at the pick-up point early, so was able to get on an earlier van, which suited my timing.

Van left almost 45mins late and arrived an hour later. It was stiffling hot inside with poor airconditioning and even poorer legroom (our fault for choosing backseats). Well at least we got to our destination safe and not THAT late.

Travelled from Bangkok to Hua Hin and had to pay extra for my luggage (which ended up on a pile with someone else's luggage on one single seat) but it's ok. About 3/4 way through the journey, I realised that the van will be passing by my hotel (Royal Pavilion) before driving a further 10-15mins to reach Hua Hin Amber. Hence, I requested for drop off opposite my hotel, which the driver gladly allowed.

We booked a van from Bangkok to Prachuapkirikhan. We arrived an hour early and found Platform 9 at the bus station quite easily. However it's among an area where a lot of other transportation booths are set up with vendors vying for your attention. We showed someone our confirmation on our phone, and were given tickets, then directed to wait nearby. Then someone signaled us into a van that was already loaded with a few people. The van was pretty cramped, not much space nor was there a trunk. We had to keep our large backpacks with us so we were even more cramped. When you purchase your ticket online you'll get a confirmation after your purchase which states in fine print that you need to pay for an extra seat if you have big luggage. Luckily nobody charged us extra for bags, but we did have to deal with being cramped with our backpacks piled on top of us. The van waited to fill up a bit more and departed about 45 minutes earlier than schedule. We went from Bangkok to Prachuapkirikhan, and it took us about 5 hours. The van stopped along the way to let off passengers and pick up new ones. Aircon worked pretty well, Thai music played the entire way. We had a short bathroom break about halfway through the ride. Don't linger around because the driver may get impatient (ours did when a couple people took extra time to buy snacks). By the time we reached Prachuap, we were let off at a bus station about 3 kilometers from the center. There were no taxis nor tuk tuks around. When we inquired inside about taxi, we were given a pretty expensive quote so we walked instead of paying a large fee. Overall the ride was ok but you really should know before hand where you'll get dropped off. In case you end up somewhere without taxi, which I've read in other reviews.

Alles super geklappt. Wer viel Gepäck hat dran denken einen Platz für das Gepäck dazu buchen. Wenn der Fahrer nicht dauernd Gas zu und weg gegeben hätte wäre es ne 5 er Bewertung gewesen????

Nothing extraordinary. The timetable is likely only for a hight season. We arrived at the bus station one hour earlier and departure in 30 minutes with two people in the van. Then we have a lot of stops to find more passengers, and after the midway, we are going fast, because of the full bus to the same destination. The trip took about 5 hours.
Hint for passengers that will look for "platform 9" in Bangkok - it locates outside, on the left side of the main entrance.

We got another seat for our larger bag which worked well to get our luggage onboard without question. Van was packed to the max. Journey took less than 3 hours. Driver dropped us off at our hotel in Hua Hin which was a bonus. Booked online which worked well. No concept of timetable - when there us a van and enough people it goes.

The van stops a lot to pick up passengers from the street like a public transport. You need to pay for another seat if you have a luggage, and the driver kept talking on the phone. Next time I'd rather take the bus. Btw they speak little English only. Just be prepared.

You are always forced to pay one more seat for your luggage. But this additional seat is payed by all the people. So only one seat available for all the luggage. Of one bus . We were 10 on the minibus.
We left the area with delay around 30 min. The seat are quite small and the girl at the counter not very pleasant !

We bought tickets for the 11.30am trip and reached about 30mins earlier for check-in. There weren't any clear signs to indicate where we should wait. We had to ask around and call to find out where and we were told to wait at the counter near 7-11 (at the street opposite). The van only came at about 12.30pm (1 hr later than the time we booked for) and it was on the Market Village side of the road. Luckily the driver came down and crossed to our side to get us if not we would have missed it as well. When we boarded the van, it was very full and we had to squeeze at the back (with barely any leg room). It was a very uncomfortable and hot 3 hours trip especially since we had 12-13 pax (with luggages) squeezed on the van. Only good thing is that we had 2 rest stops along the way. Overall a bad experience and I personally will not recommend it.

The first driver wasn't very friendly, so to speak, and the Aircon was broken. We were like cooked in the steam. Careful, extra charge (100thb) for one luggage, which wasn't previous.

I bought a ticket for the 0600 bus. I arrived at the van stop at 0540 just to be safe. There were no clear markings for the actual stop so I posted myself on both sides of the street while looking out for the van. Their website simply says "in front of Market Village" but it doesn't specify which side of the street in front of market village. Nevertheless, at that early hour I was the only person standing on the side of the road waiting for a van anyway. And by the time it was 0600, a couple of vans had already passed me by without stopping. Finally I get a call from a representative at 0610 and they ask if I was waiting for the van and if I had already bought a ticket. I answered "yes" and "yes" to their questions and they simply said "sorry, you'll have to wait for the 0630 van now". So because of their disorganization and un-professionalism I ended up waiting 45 minutes.

Bonjour, nous avons réservé via 12 go.asia. Vraiment super, nous avons eu aucun souci. Arrivé à la gare de Sai Tai Mai Nous avons fourni le voucher et nous avons été pris en charge immédiatement. Le départ se fait à l'extérieur au RDC. Le bus, environ 12 places était très confortable et climatisé. Petite astuce, nous avions prévu notre départ à 12 h, mais le check out hôtel était à 10h. Nous sommes donc arrivé à 10h 45 et nous sommes parti immédiatement. un bus toute les demi heure. Arrivé sur place à Hua Hin il y à pleins de taxi CO qui vous emmènent à votre hôtel.

It didn't leave at 5, but 45 min later because the van was not full before. But this is how this works. At busier times of day I suppose you don't need to wait if you booked before.
Be aware that you might need to have your backpack on your knees sometimes when the van is full.
Otherwise i have nothing to complain about.

Hard to find the station of the check-in, no help from anyone who did not want to sell us an extra ticket.
We came to our destination. Paid for luggage, but did not get the seats for luggage.
They dropped us off at the wrong place and did not talk to us.
Better go to the Bus Terminal and buy one there... They are never full for the day.

Good thing is we are able to secure van tickets back to Bangkok on festive SongKran day. It is difficult to find the van stop so be prepared to spend some time asking locals for help and going onto a random van.
