De voordelen van reizen per busje
- Busjes komen vaak op bestemmingen waar geen bus of trein komt. Dit omvat secundaire steden en kleinere dorpen.
- In de meeste gevallen zijn busjes de snelste manier om relatief korte afstanden over land af te leggen, simpelweg omdat ze kleiner zijn dan bussen.
- Met busjes kun je uitstappen op een gunstiger punt onderweg en niet noodzakelijkerwijs bij de terminal. Dat kan je in sommige gevallen veel tijd en geld besparen.
Nadelen van reizen per busje
- Sommige busjes kunnen behoorlijk krap zijn en bieden weinig ruimte voor bagage. Eigenlijk geldt dat voor bijna alle busjes. Als je meer dan één tas, koffer of rugzak hebt, kan het een goed idee zijn om een extra zitplaats voor je bagage te kopen. Helaas betaal je dan wel dubbel voor je reis.
- Het is de moeite waard om te controleren of je busje volgens een vaste dienstregeling rijdt of pas vertrekt wanneer het vol is. In dat laatste geval kun je soms lang moeten wachten, omdat het op bepaalde routes behoorlijk wat tijd kan kosten voordat alle plaatsen bezet zijn.
- Je moet weten dat chauffeurs berucht zijn om hun snelle rijstijl. Zelfs de meest gerenommeerde bedrijven slagen er soms niet in ervoor te zorgen dat chauffeurs zich aan de snelheidslimieten houden. Ook als de chauffeur er niet op aandringt, moet je altijd je veiligheidsgordel dragen.
- Als je gemakkelijk wagenziek wordt en je reis kronkelige wegen bevat, is de kans groter dat je last krijgt van wagenziekte in een busje dan in een gewone bus. Neem voor de zekerheid ongeveer een half uur voor vertrek een middel tegen wagenziekte in.

Alles verliep voorspoedig. Chauffeur was op tijd. Goed geregeld.
Busje zat echter bomvol met mensen waardoor bagage letterlijk overal tussen gepropt moest worden. Mensen zaten letterlijk tussen opgestapelde bagage. Niet comfortabel en ook niet veilig. Chauffeur was verder allervriendelijkst.

Geboekt om met een minibus + ferry van Ao Nang naar Koh Samui te gaan. De minibus werd een grote bus. Verder een prima reis, genoeg beenruimte in de bus en onderweg een stop van 20 minuten bij de 7/11. Alles keurig op tijd.

Er wordt een tijdstip opgegeven waar niet op gerekend kan worden, aangezien iedereen hetzelfde tijdstip krijgt en niet een tij gericht op die persoon/ophaallocatie. Ik heb meer als een uur moeten wachten. Het nummer van de hotline is alleen rechtstreeks beschikbaar dus niet via WhatsApp. Hierdoor moest ik hulp van hotel receptie vragen om te kunnen bellen. De hotline was ook weinig behulpzaam, zegt de bus is er over 20 min. Maar een uur later nog steeds niets. Opnieuw naar hotelreceptie gestapt en toen pas is iemand van de reisorganisatie gaan bellen naar de chauffeur
De chauffeur kon geen enkel adres vinden, wist dus niet waar hij passagiers moest ophalen of afzetten. Gedurende de hele rit van 4,5 uur ( in plaats van 3) zat hij luid te bellen of appen. Het zou handig zijn geweest als hij een lijst van adressen en een navigatiesysteem op zijn telefoon had, zodat hij zijn aandacht had bij zijn taak. Nu moesten de passagiers ook nog zelf navigeren met hun eigen telefoon en roepen om zijn aandacht te krijgen als hij hun hotel voorbij reed. In plaats van 6 / 6.30 uur was ik pas om 8 uur 's avonds terug bij mij hotel.

They didn’t even take us to Khao Sok. They took us to Ao Nang, Krabi and the in person operator charged us extra cash, with the promise that part of the trip will be refunded online since the trip was being rerouted. The extra cash was to apparently hire a different driver to take us to Ao Nang, because the roads were closed to Khao Sok. There was no refund; as we were told there would be an email arriving in our inbox later tonight for partial refund, but that email never arrived.

But bus driver was really informal and making unnecessary stops of over 15min for a 2h drive; of course in places where he probably got a commission or ‘gift’ in exchange. We arrived nearly 1h late to our destination and he tried to overcharge an extra 1km drive to our hotek

The ferry is old and slow and there was a cockroach inside where you can sit… at least they gave us a vip bus for the price of a normal one but the usb chargers didn’t work and sometimes we could smell something coming probably from outside, and the AC was FREEZING. Bad experience

They make you wait for over an hour at a random stop after arriving in Surat Thani and again in the middle of the night. Both stops are not at shops but small restaurants clearly linked to the bus company so they can extract more money from you. Other operators stop at 7/11 where you can actually buy things you might need and not for such long periods. We spend a lot of the night waiting, hoping the bus would leave soon. The employees treat you like sheep rather than people. The seats were also quite uncomfortable for overnight although it was nice they could recline and that there was charging points and good a/c. The a/c was turned off the last 30 minutes making the bus very hot and the charging ports didn't work during the night either.

Bad transport overral. The workers in the Khao Sok station are rude and nonchalant. The van arrived more than half an hour late, and showed very angry and kind of verbally agressive for no reason. Arrived 40min late.
The driving was fine.
But I would defenetly not take this company again.

Just the first Van that pick up us at the mcdonalds was nice, the driver very helpful (that is why the 2 stars).
After the vehicle transfer in Surat Thani, there was no longer any space between the seats.

The Ferry was on time, I arrived to land again around 6am. The van to go to Khao Sok it was supposed to be there at 8am and we arrived at 9.30am... The drivers was unclear about the drop off point.

The ferry looks so awesome I never thought having nice ferry but the problem was if you have heavy luggage you need to lift by yourself. You will use stairs going up and going down. That's the down side and alot of transfer. No snacks or water offered compared to the bus operation they offer free dinner and snacks. The bus was big and spacious but the charging such as USB port /PD port/type C port was not working. Maybe in the future if you have those things. You will have more customers in the future. The bus driver was on time.5:30am we arrived in bangkok

The journey from Koh Samui to Bangkok is described as a ferry / boat trip, there is no mention at all of any other mode of travel. The journey is actually a ferry back to Shurat
thani, then a shuttle bus, then a mini bus and finally an overnight coach journey the length of Thailand back to Bangkok. Not what is advertised and not what we expected. Book with caution!

First you take a boat from Koh Samui to Donsak pier which is okay, then you are taken to a parking lot where you board a van and from the van you drive about 1 hour to a very poor restaurant, they basically have fruits, beverages and salty rice or pasta to eat. You may have time to walk to 7/11 but who knows, they don't give any information so you have to guess. After waiting from 1h to 2h which they don't know precisely how much you board a bus that comes half full and drives about 6 hours to the first stop where is another very poor restaurant that they only have rice, snacks and some beverages and after that you are taken to Bangkok.

Communication wasn’t good. We got off the ferry trying to find the bus which ended up being a van to the bus which took another hour. No one communicated where and when we are going. I was with two kids and it felt very difficult. It was also pouring with rain and no one helped with the bags. The sleeper bus was ok, although it was freezing! And the worse part is that somehow money was stolen from my bag which was next to me while I was sleeping despite the bag being next to me the whole night. We used another company on our way to the islands and we felt a lot more secure. I wouldn’t recommend this company at all.

Your bus arrived over 1hr late. We waited 40min before & after schedule, as instructed. I paid extra to receive text updates and received nothing, despite calling multiple times. I had to pay for a new service and you refused to refund me. Wasted my time and money - Terrible service

Night ferry was good, on time and confortable beds to sleep.
Becareful about the scam in Surat Thani. The lady there was asking money to drop people on there hostel, even if it was 5min walk from the hotels and hostels.
