Apakah Kelas & Harga Kereta Api Sri Lanka Railway?

- Perkara terbaik tentang pengembaraan dengan kereta api ialah tiada kesesakan lalu lintas. Walaupun pada waktu sibuk, cuti panjang hujung minggu atau musim cuti.
- Proses tempahan dalam talian juga adalah mudah. Anda tidak perlu pergi ke stesen kereta api, seperti kebiasaannya di banyak tempat tidak lama dahulu!
- Harga tiket kereta api biasanya lebih berpatutan berbanding dengan tiket kapal terbang. Namun, untuk destinasi dan perjalanan tertentu, jumlah masa perjalanannya mungkin hampir sama
- Walaupun mengembara dengan kereta api jelas lebih perlahan daripada penerbangan, stesen kereta api selalunya terletak di tengah-tengah bandar, menjimatkan masa anda untuk berulang-alik. Lapangan terbang pula biasanya terletak agak jauh dari bandar

Kekurangan Mengembara dengan Kereta Api
- Untuk perjalanan yang lebih jauh, menaiki kereta api pastinya lebih memakan masa berbanding penerbangan
- Kereta api memang berjalan mengikut jadual, tetapi tidak mengikut jadual bukanlah sesuatu yang luar biasa untuk perjalanan dengan kereta api. Kelewatan juga mungkin teruk, jadi jika anda merancang sambungan ke penerbangan anda, semak dengan teliti masa kereta api tiba di stesen dan pertimbangkan dengan baik.
- Kebersihan kadangkala menjadi isu dengan tiket kelas kedua dan ketiga, begitu juga dengan tandas.
- Jika kereta api anda banyak membuat hentian, dalam keadaan tertentu, sukar untuk anda mengetahui masa untuk turun kerana hentian tidak selalu diumumkan atau ditandakan dengan jelas, kecuali jika terdapatnya skrin elektronik.

Over all the experience was very nice. To travel with all the locals, to get in touch with them and see how they travel.
The drive from Colombo to Ella was really long and you should consider a break, for example in Kandy.
We traveled in third class and you only can get a good seat in Colombo and also only when you are fast. :D When the train arrives, the locals jump on it, while its driving - be fast!
It’s getting pretty full and tight, be aware of that. Next time, ee would get a first or second class ticket because of comfort. But it was definitively a good experience, I would not like to miss.

Overall, I enjoyed the experience of travelling in the observation carriage, and the views were beautiful. However, the train arrived over 1.5 hours late into Peradinaya despite having left Ella on time. Thankfully, my taxi driver was still waiting for me! The seat leg room was good, but the carriage was old and in need of updating.

Das e-Ticket hat super funktioniert. Die Fahrt von Ella nach Kandy ist aber überbewertet. Der Zug kam zwei Stunden zu spät und hat eineinhalb Stunden länger gebraucht. Insgesamt also fast zehn Stunden für eine Strecke die mit dem Tuktuk vier Stunden dauert.

Underrated transportation option! Totally enjoyed having a reserved seat in 3rd class. The fans were working and you can see the nice landscape though the open windows and doors.

It was a nice Experience, as a Backpacker it was Really neccesery to Book The 2nd/ 1st class, cause of the place trouble in the 3rd. But you have to inform yourself, where to wait and enter the Train, so you dont have time trouble to run to the side of the First class

We bought the ticket from Colombo to Kandy. First we wanted to take the train at 11 am but when I was looking 5 minutes later, the option was gone. So we booked the train at 7 am. So far so good. We got the receipt and I payed via PayPal. The official price was around 3.000 LKR, when I paid with PayPal they booked Singapore Dollars which was way more expensive. In total we payed 15EUR /20 USD… which is not the price that was originally shown.
We received the E-Tickets right away and the rest was totally fine. Next time I would prefer asking the ticket counter instead of booking online as it’s a lot cheaper.

Very nice ride in the observation class with plenty of space and plenty of locals! Beware the observation coupe is the last coupé with the big windows at the back, so you'll drive backwards the whole way (I get carsick but with one tablet I was fine when whole train ride, the train is pretty slow making me less nauseaus and making the view even better!)
There is only 4 seats by the actual big window, but the other seats provided a good view as well and you can walk to the window and hang out for a little bit

Amazing way to travel and you also get lovely views along the way! Do be prepared for a crazy rush for seats when you get on the train, but I managed to find one with no issues. There isn’t a place to store luggage like a case, I had to use my legroom and put my feet on top, but great journey!

Need to sort out the ticketing. Absolute garbage when you buy more than one ticket and everyone is in different locations within the cabin.
This needs to be fixed badly.
The pdf was all that was needed. You don't need to get a ticket, just show the document.
