A much more comfortable experience than a sleeper train as they actually turn the lights off and the air-con isn’t quite at the same Arctic temperatures, but worth wearing a long sleeved top and longer trousers. The seats recline nicely and are roomy. The snacks on board are good and they provide you with Pepsi and water (and coffee in the morning if you’re awake) but this is provided without a smile and the hostess we had spoke barely any English. They also don’t translate anything into English on the tickets or meal vouchers so for us and a group of bewildered Norwegians, we had only the reviews of previous travellers to go by! But overall, a good service and I would rather use an overnight bus than a train in the future. We also arrived about 2hrs early.

VIP is the way to go. Large, comfortable seats. Water and snacks. Port to charge your phone. Bring lots of layers, it was super cold with the AC.

Very nice bus, great chairs. Blanket was also nice because airco was cold. I cound't find the wifi password but I really would recomend taking the vip over the normal bus!

Gemakkelijk gevonden. Enkel nummer van het perron klopte niet. Bus was zeer comortabel. Brede zetels die plat kunnen. Airco en dekentje.
Drank en snakje en om 24 u als we net wilden slapen.. bij de stop bonnetje om te eten. In baanrestaurant. Wel enkel thaise taal. Kwamen aan om 6uur. Taxi naar hotel ..ontbijt..en lange dag om vanalles te doen.

The hostess only spoke Thai. She literally throw the beverages in my lap. She was not friendly. The travel went very quick. We were there in 10, not the expected 12 hours. Seats were fine. Leg room okay. The blanket was fine.

Comfortable trip. Great spacious chairs. Airco in overdrive (which is pleasant up until a certain level). Hostess didn’t speak English so we had to find out the “foodstop with coupon”-excercise (arround midnight) ourselves. (In short: You get a coupon worth of 30 TB, for which you can buy food or drinks - drinks are on the right back of the building).
We arrived earlier in Chang Mai then expected (arround 6:30 AM), which sounds good but when your accommodation doesn’t have early opening or 24 hr check-in it just means you have to spend more time on the bus terminal. Just a thing to consider when you book this trip, or the accommodation.
Apart from these minor points, I think it’s one of the most comfortable ways to travel directly from Kanchanburi to Chiang mai.

Perfect. One challenge... my suns did not want ask the passengers behind them if it was ok to put the chair in the reclining position. Maybe an alert steward can help with this.

The seat was large and confortable but the staff wasn’t very helpful. Wake at 2 in the morning for eating, it’s very hard.
I asked so many times for the wifi password but the women never gave me. Fast and safe. The travel was ok but the staff is only for thai.

Really comfortable trip! We arrived at Kanchanaburi around 6 am.
The AC is a bit cold though, but the complimentary blanket helps.

VIP巴是真的很舒適，位子很大，椅子雖然不能停到平躺但可以調整到很舒適的幅度，廁所也很乾淨，上車後會發水、飲料、餅乾和麵包，中間會到休息站休息20分鐘左右，可以上廁所，而且有附餐券可以換簡單的白粥和小菜吃，不錯吃，比預定的時間早一小時抵達，但隨車的小姐不會說英文，車上wifi很弱

Was a fantastic trip, arrived earlier than expected and was a smooth journey, would definitely recommend, the only thing I would say is for foreign passengers it would be helpful to have everything translated into English.

Surprisingly good trip! Seats are large and have leg rests, much more comfortable and easy to sleep than planes. Managed to get quite a good sleep, the lights we were warned about are turned off quite fast and there were no loud movies playing as some predicted. The toilet was another pleasant surprise - it was clean and totally fine, even had toilet paper. Would happily travel again this way. Also we arrived even earlier than others have mentioned - by 5.45am.

We took this bus as we were too late scheduling a train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. The bus was pretty convenient, able to lay back to get some sleep. AC was minimal, but since it's night and you are going to Chiang Mai (in January at least!) it's totally fine. Definitely a good solution to go to Chiang Mai :)

Overall for the money it was a good trip. Stopping at the food court was confusing, no one spoke English to tell us to use out bus ticket to get the voucher. If you could record in English that would he helpful.

The bus was really comfortable, a lot of space but that’s it. The wifi did not work the whole way, only in Chiang Mai (our final station), my backpack was very wet when I got it from the bagage storage (water from the air-co i suppose, but I am not sure), the staff threw our luggage on the dirty parking ground when unpacking. So ad it up - a wet backpack and dirt. I have a really dirty backpack now.

We travelled from Kanchanaburi to Chiang Mai and it was a very good service. We were given water and snacks upon entering the bus and stopped after four hours where we could have had food which was included in the ticket price.
Make sure you have a jumper as the air conditioning is set very high and although they provide blankets it was chilly.
The seats recline right and there is a foot rest that comes up so it was very comfortable.
We were supposed to arrive at 7 am but got there at 5.30 am so if you’ve booked accommodation get an early check in.

Met VIP bus van Chiang Mai naar Kanchanaburi. Top bus. Echt VIP. Free WiFi aan boord, 2 USB-aansluitingen per zitplaats. Ruime zitplaats, mogelijkheid om stoel vrij ver naar achter te leunen. De rit duurde 10 uur met korte tussenstop van 20 minuutjes. Op tijd vertrokken (20u) en 2 u voor voorziene tijd (8u) aangekomen. Op de bus kregen we direct een flesje water, een blikje cola en 2 koekjes. Er was ook voor iedereen een deken voorzien. VIP bus is een echte aanrader!

The bus was clean, much space between the chairs. You could lay down easily. You got 2 drinks and 2 snacks. The trip was nice, although the temperature in the bus was cold (airco)May be a litle bit warmer. Tip: take a vest or sweater with you.

Durchsagen im Bus nur auf thailändisch. WLAN nicht das schnellste. Film und Musik sehr laut und ebenfalls auf thailändisch. Dafür sind die Sitze super bequem, man hat massig Platz und es gibt essen/trinken. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Very efficient service, from putting our luggage on board, seating us onto a very clean bus. Reclining seats/blankets, water and goody bag and at the comfort stop, free meal or drink included in the ticket price. Excellent road, driver and arrived 1/2 hour early. Great value for money and doing it by the day was good scenery. Thank you.

Very nice bus although Aircon a bit high. Advise to bring jacket. Very little English spoken so bit confusing at times. At the meals stop, take your bus ticket and swap it for a meal directly at the food counter.
We arrived way earlier then stated, around 520 am. Not good if your accommodation isn't expecting you so early.
