You get what you pay for, if you can avoid and choose the proper bus you should definitely do this !!! Feels a little unorganised, wasn’t on time but still got us from A-B and B-C. Trip will probably take longer for the drivers breaks but they do still have to have a break so fair enough. Overall, 48/100, can risk it and have the experience to tell the story of it or be comfortable and get on a proper bus :)

Late for more than 2 hours because driver picked up passengers not from the route - from different towns and locations. Was dangerous because of overspeed. 120 km/h where 60 max is allowed.

Accueil désagréable au bureau de l’agence le matin du départ.
Départ à 9 hrs au lieu de 8h30, Arrêt de 1h30 à Hat Yai.
Voyage moyennement confortable, sièges du premier van defoncés.
Excellents chauffeurs prudents, le second van fut très aimable et souriant.

С бронированием билетов всё было как обычно просто, посадка ровно в 5 утра, микроавтобус был очень комфортным и новым - большие мягкие сиденья и много места для ног, а водитель был милым. Через 3 часа после отправления прибыли на границу, прохождение пограничных пунктов заняло час, потом доехали до Хатяй, покружили немного по нему, высаживая пассажиров, в итоге в 10 (по малайскому времени) прибыли в местную автобусную кассу Nominatee Tour, где получили билеты на 10.30 на автобус до Сурратхани, пирса Донсак. Из-за смены часового пояса ожидание автобуса заняло полтора часа - есть время купить симку, поменять деньги, перекусить. В турагентстве есть wifi и розетка. В 10.30 прибыл наш микроавтобус, уже не такой комфортный - постарше, мало места для ног, половина места в салоне занято коробками, бесконечное количество раз водитель останавливался, чтобы погрузить-выгрузить эти посылки, поэтому продвигались очень медленно, к тому же водитель всю дорогу громко разговаривал с местными пассажирами - поэтому это довольно местный способ перевозок, без "сервиса", похожий на регулярные междугородние маршрутки в России. По прибытии водитель выдал проездные на паром, успели на паром в 17.00, через час прибыли на пирс Натон. На всем пути было достаточное количество остановок в туалет/размяться. Распечатывать билет не пришлось, на Пенанге водитель их не проверял, в Хатяйе кассир попросил переслать его на их емейл и выдал билет.

The ride was OK. Everything else was unorganized. At komtar a taxi driver took my backpack in his car and I was told to get in the car. No information where we are going. At the bus terminal again no information where the bus will leave and when.. A guy came around and told me that he can give me an earlier bus - he kept my ticket as the bus was not from the same company. Unfortunately again no information when we will leave etc.
For your info: There was no toilet stop as written in the details.

The start at the Komtar busstation was very confusing and stressfull. Maybe you can inform people better that there is an transfer stop at another busstation. Otherwise very good busride.

VIP seats were comfy and cozy, clean bus, air conditioning works. The downside of the trip was the traffic ! our journey from penang to kl should be 5 hrs instead it was 11 hours long ! and the bus conductor refuse to stop at the R&R (rest area) when we request to and his reason was "look at the traffic how to stop?" few of the passengers including us need to use the washroom and we literally have to remind the driver to stop by the R&R and he did just twice. by the way expect bus transfer somewhere in sungai buloh ! which adds another hour to the whole journey to reach tbs station ! first time travelling by bus from penang during raya season and never again !

All was fine until we hit the Malaysian border. Our driver did not prioritize passenger safety or comfort. We were informed by Malaysian police that our driver had over 10 outstanding speeding tickets in Malaysia, which he refused to pay. He eventually payed just one of them off and we were on our way after an unnecessary 30 minute delay. Once we were driving along in Malaysia, and after about an hour on the road, he was pulled over for yet ANOTHER speeding ticket. The driver was texting while driving and making phone calls on top of this. He also refused to let one of our group out of the four crammed seats in the back and into the vacant front seat until after we crossed into Malaysia.

Driver 45 min. To late in the morning 5am. From Penang to hat yai minibus uncomfortable. From hatyai to Samui quite ok. No Stop and time for foot and drink. But better at all since for 10 or 20 years ago. Booking B normak agency office is better. You don't must confirm

Don't bother showing up 30 minutes before departure time as instructed as our bus left 50 minutes late with no explanation. Also check where the office/departure point is ahead of time is as it's not that easy to find (opposite the bus exchange if that helps!).

We were supposed to be on the 10:30 bus, but the staff told us the bus goes at 10:00, so we were confused. At least the bus was 30 minutes late, so everything was again okay. Bitte the People were all friendly. Also the seats in the bus were very comfortable.

Sehr gut organisiert. Kurz aussteigen an der Thailand Emigration. Minibus wartet um die Ecke. Weiter zu Malaysia Einreise und gründlichem Zoll! Dauerte 20min.
Fahrer brachte uns ins Hotel.

It took way longer than the published 1200 - 1830 just arrived at 2230 which was a bit unexpected. That said we had our own private mini van from Hat Tai after changing buses and the driver was a total legend.
Everyone moaning just needs to get a bit more realistic frankly

The bus schedule has changed. I had gone to the bus office so I had changed my flight early or I must wait many hours. 9:00 to 11:30 then I will lose my plane. I did not get the seat I reserved because it took other passengers that go nearby on the bus. But still had empty seat.

Van had to be changed at Hat Yai. Too many stops and drop offs and pickups. Rude drivers. Aircon was weak, stuffy seating. The van driver did not drop me to the bus terminal as mentioned on the ticket, saying it was not allowed to, but outside on the main road.

Honestly we were a bit worried of all negative reviews of this company. But we had an amazing experience to travel by van from Penang to Krabi. The checkin was easy, the van almost on time taking only us two to Thai city Hat Yai where we changed van after a 30 min break. The driver was friendly and helped us through the border control. More people in the new van but still lot of space. The van was only one hour late arrival (we expected much more) and brought us downtown in Krabi. Can highly recommend this trip between Malaysia and Thailand.

Leider wussten wir nicht, dass beim Büro ein Minibus zum Busterminal fährt. Für uns wäre das Terminal näher gewesen und hätten das ganze Gepäck weniger herumtragen müssen. Zudem hat der Minibus-Fahrer noch YouTube während der Fahrt geschaut. Der Service im Büro war nett und die Fahrt mit dem Car war sehr angenehm.

Little to no communication, we waited for the bus for about 20 minutes and nobody told us, it was already there.
Dirty, reserved seat was broken, so there you couldn’t really put your feet down, stuff didn’t care about it, but lernen us dir on other seats that were free, after we alles for it

Counter in Georgetown is hard to find. Took off in a mini van then were asked to leave the van with our luggage and to board some random bus in Sungai Nibong (we weren't informed of that ahead otherwise would have taken a cab to Sungai Nibong directly because of my foot injury). Arrived to destination 2 hours later than expected time of arrival.

The driver tail-ended a truck, didn't stop to check the damage nor apologize to the passengers. He proceeded to drive recklessly and did not provide bathroom stops along the way. We did arrive on time and was picked up at a reasonable hour .

First you take a shuttle to the Main bus Station and then the bus. They told us first come at 12.30,then 12.50 and the shuttle left at 13.15. The bus was quite comfortable but not clean enough

Van departed around 35 minutes late, but ultimately we arrived only around 15 minutes late in Hat Yai, driver dropped me off at the train station as requested. Everything was pretty straightforward, the van was good, only real complaint is the driver was a bit of a maniac, literally driving as close to the vehicles in front at high speed in order to get them to move out of the way. He also had a very annoying habit of constantly going on and off the accelerator so the van was constantly lurching back and forth slightly.

The trip wasn’t that bad as there was only a couple people in the van. My biggest problem was finding the pickup point and no one would answer my calls. The pickup point is on the opposite side of the road as the bus terminal in case anyone has this problem.

It was really hard to find New Asia Travel in Komtar at 5 am. The bus was late for a 20-30 min, but it was nice, new and comfortable mini bus with a driver who drove fast but safe. Then in Had Yai I had to change buses, and the next bus was much older with broken belt on front passenger seat and some driver’s device made a sounds like several short and loud “beeeep” every 1-3 min. We had uncounteble number of stops to take some parcels. So my trip from Penang to Koh Phangan took 14 hours, I had started at 5:30 am and finished around 7 pm, but there was 2:30 pm approximate arrival time in my ticket. Not so nice.

The bus from penang to hat yai was good. But then (even if we bought a "direct" bus, nobody told us that we will have to change the bus) we have to go with another company in a really small van, the driver drove like crazy, jumping all the time and so fast.
The ticket said that we were going to arrive around 3, we arrived at 5 (6 malaysian time).
Not happy at all with the service. I do not recomend it

Bus was OK but: arrived at destination at 8pm when website said 4pm (which could ever happen), I wasn't assigned a seat until 1hr in to the trip so had to keep moving seats. Seat footrest broken.

Evwrything was really ok. Maybe the lady at the counter was a little bit pulled away, but it could be because od the language ;) the bus was very comfortable , a lot of space and even if at the begging was too cold then it was adopted to passangers. I can higly reccommend this office!

I missed my bus and they let me take the next one, with only a small extra fee, which was nice. However, when I changed vehicles to the connecting bus in Hat Yai, we had to wait about 3 hours. They did not inform anyone about this very long waiting time, and they should have done so, as it hugely affects someone's travel plans. I let it go because I was grateful that they let me take the next bus after I missed mine, however the other people were also very upset. First they wanted to make us wait 4 hours, then when we complained they changed it to 3.
We changed vehicles twice. On the last bus, when we arrived in Phuket (my final destination), I very politely asked the staff-member if I could get out sooner than the last bus terminal, as it was a more convenient location for me. He completely refused to let me get off the vehicle, even though we stopped many times and other passengers got off, he actually would not allow me to get off the bus! That is crazy.

The first bus was amazing and organised. Set a good time for the trip. The second bus was cramped, chaotic due to lots of miscommunication with baggage and language barrier and we were very late to drop off point due to driver dropping passengers to lots of different small stops
