Took the bus from Hue to Phong Nha. The bus left on time at 16:45 and got in at 20:55 with one 20 minute stop along the way for food and a bathroom break. We got ushered onto the Limousine bus even though we paid for the cheaper tickets and there was a toilet on the bus albeit it was very smelly.

There was a lack of communication with this service compared to other services. We think our coach was cancelled and the staff wouldn’t tell us, they just told us to keep waiting until the next bus arrived. We were pushed onto that bus but we didn’t have seats for that one so were pushed to the back. Arrived at the destination almost 2 hours later than expected.

When you check reviews of night bus feom TBUS they are usually bad but thats not true. Actually the bus are pretty ok and we never had issues for the price we paid. You cannot expect to have a moving hotel room for what you pay. But i can tell you sleep well.

The bus was rather on the cheap side, but that was okay. We started later than it was said, we had a stop in the middle of nowhere to wait for some packages, and had a long break in a bar. Overall, we were 1 hour late. One of the service men went inside the bus while smoking a cigarette. As a non-smoker I felt uncomfortable. We were driving in the evening (it was dark outside), even thought the driver was using his phone (scrolling facebook and sending messages), that was unsafe. The service men were not nice, no smile, no information about the delay.

12Go - I don't know who should update bus times, but the1620 bus is not a 1620 bus. The place where we have to meet for the bus even has it down as a service leaving at 1700 (which we only found our when asking why the bus was so late). It was absolute chaos. There were a lot of people waiting for buses and no information was being given about what time they might arrive. Then suddenly about 5 buses turned up and no-one could find out which bus was for where as the one member of staff was dealing with one bus. We were eventually allowed to board a bus which set off at 1755. Not everyone fit on, but were told there would be another one. Our bus still had the litter on from the passengers on the previous trip, and we used the same blankets that they had left. Most of the seats were broken so wouldn't sit up at all. The driver drove safely and the seats were comfortable to sleep on - the only positive thing i can say about the service. At the rest stop (squat toilets) we collected more passengers (locals), who sat along the aisles. A completely different experience to the bus I got from HCMC
