Raja Ferry Port

They take you from Surat Thani Center to the Port and then you go with that same ticket to the next ferry departure either to surat thani or ko samui, very good advanced system, totally professional and tech enabled. WAY better system than in other countries including europe

We had to change vehicle three times and had to stay in Surat Thani unexpectedly for about half an our. The driver also made several personal stops on the way. But because it was a quite speedy journey we arrived on time either way and the vans are a comfortable option.

The ferry ride is terrible, there must be better options. The ferry alone took 2.5hrs. Horrible old ferry.

Incredibly late- around 4 hours and broke down halfway. Staff dropped people off on the side of a busy highway not close to any facilities and drove off without telling half the group so they were left behind for an hour without knowing when or where they were being picked up from. One of the passengers spoke Thai so only because of that were they able to get a ride from a local family to a supermarket. Bus was comfortable and tire was fixed quick enough but need more communication on what is happening and not leaving people behind with no idea what is going on.

The ferry was great and very comfortable and left in time, although after that our travels were bad. We were waiting around for 40 minutes before our first bus took off, and then we got dropped off downtown transportation hub where we had to wait 3 hours for our next van ride. There was no communication about the expectation we had to wait around this long , and then when the van arrived, it smelt terribly of moved refrigerated foods which our feet rested on, bags everywhere, I felt so stuffy, hot and irritable. We should not have been packed in that van for the length of time this journey was, over 2 hours

We booked on the same day and therefore had to go two hours early to see if we could get on the transport after paying. The lady from there helped us confirm the booking but we weren’t sure where to go as she seemed in a rush so just gave our ticket (not her fault, she helped fix our problem after awhile). There was no problems on the ferry, worked effectively and was quick. Once we arrived at the port we realised the bus wasn’t for another two hours and as two girls we had to sit around waiting (this is fine but if we had realised we would have booked a taxi at an earlier time but like I said the girl said to get on the bus straight after the taxi and not that it was a two hour wait). Whilst waiting the driver of the bus said that we had to pay another 250 each on top of what we have already paid for the bus to be dropped at our hotel (which was in the city and on route to the train station) whilst being on the bus we realised people were being charged 100-200 to make a stop in the city rather than 250 per person. It also stated that the bus would leave at 8 but left at half 8 so at this rate we were desperate to get to our accommodation we didn’t question it. I think it’s poorly run and for future reference maybe ask about peoples stops before hand and charge them with the fee of the bus then.

Everything is good except for self carrying the baggage to the second floor . Perfect with Time Schedules .

Really great service, picked up by bus and waited 20/30 mins at the pier for the ferry. Easy journey:)
