ビエンチャンからダナンまで利用。出発は17時半予定だったけど18時になった。でもダナンのバスターミナルに着いたのは翌日の14時頃で予定より2時間ほども早かった。車内の席は三列なのでとても狭く、寝にくい。毛布はもらえる。19時半頃、ご飯休憩の店で下ろされる。そこから消灯。ラオバオの国境手前のお店で朝5時頃下ろされる。そこで国境が7時に開くまで待機。パスポートを集められて100kキープ請求される（ベトナムドンやUSドンでもOkだった）ベトナム入国時のスタンプは50kドン請求される。国境を出た後、ガソリンスタンド前でバスを待機。フエで下ろされ、そこからダナン行きに乗り換え。全体的には悪くなかったが、途中で車酔いしてしまい、吐いてしまったり、さっぱり寝られなかったので良い体験とは言い難い。でもサービス自体は悪くはなかったと思う

結論から言うと、陸路でハノイからビエンチャンまで行くことはお勧めできない。以下に実体験を載せるので、参考にしてほしい。
集合場所がバスツアー会社の前で、集合時間の約20分前にタクシーに乗せられた。タクシーに乗ること30分、バスターミナルの入り口前で降ろされたがタクシー代として5万ドンを要求され、具体的な指示もなかった。一緒に乗り合わせていた欧米人の方と一緒にバスが並ぶ場所まで行くも、誰が自分の乗るバスか全くわからない。一応、スタッフらしき人たちにビエンチャン行きの電子チケットを見せてそれらしいバスの前で待つ。すると、SMSで2回の42番カウンターに来るように指示が来た。慌ててそこに向かうとしばらくチェックの時間があり、紙のチケットを受け取れた。そのチケットに書いてあるバスのナンバーを目印にバスを探すと、先ほど待っていたバスと同じであった。その後無事にバスに乗れたが、3時間ほど経ってから休憩があり、その後は国境に着いてイミグレが開く直前の6:30くらいまでは休憩が無かった。そこでラオスへの入国カード(日本人で15日以下の滞在ならvisaがいらないのでその情報は書かなくてOK)を手に入れた。イミグレが開く7時ごろに最初の休憩場所(トイレがあり飯を食べられる場所)すぐのゲートにいる兵士にパスポートを見せて敷地内に入った。そのまままっすぐ進むと手前に建物、奥にゲートが見えた。まずゲートに行ってパスポートを見せるもスタンプが無いと言われ、戻される。そのため、先ほど見えていた建物に入り、出国のためのパスポートチェックに並んだ。我々はトラブルがあり5時間ほど待つ羽目になったが、ネットの情報だと2時間程度で終わるらしい。お陰でバスに置いていかれそうになった。また、パスポートチェックの際に5万ドン(2ドルでもいけた)が必要になるので注意。そこでスタンプを押してもらうとようやくゲートを通り国境を越えられた。その後しばらく歩くと、ラオス側のナムパオ国境検問所に着き、そこでパスポートと記入しておいた入国カードを渡して入国スタンプをもらう。あとはゲートでパスポートを見せて通り抜け、バスが待っているのでそれに乗り込んだ。その後は3回ほど休憩を挟み、9時間かけてビエンチャンのバスターミナルに着いた。結局ハノイからビエンチャンまでは27時間ほどかかった。
バスの乗り心地は思ったより良いが、あまり食事や水分を取るとトイレが大変かもしれない。自分はバスに乗ってから降りるまで1回も飯を食べなかった。水も国境を越えた際に一口飲んだだけだ。バススタッフは英語が話せないため注意。ただ、スタッフの対応はそんなに悪くない。が、あまり期待しないでほしい。
色々述べたが、結論として乗ることはお勧めしない。あまりにも適当な運営と予想外の出費があるため、安心かつ快適に移動できるとは言えない。ただ、そういったトラブルを含めてこの死のバスを経験したい方には向いていると感じた。

この旅行会社は本当に酷かった。記載通りの時間に集合場所にいったにもかかわらず、対応開始は集合時間から30分後の4時。更にそこから説明にあるバンではなく外部のドライバーによるバイクタクシーに30分ほど揺られバスステーションに到着。最終的には会社が支払ったがドライバーから料金まで請求された。バスステーションで結局の出発は6時だと告げられ1時間以上待った。バスは左側2シートの列、右側1シートの列になっていた。1人用のシートが空いているにもかかわらずそこに1人客を案内せず、移動可能な荷物によって占領している。交渉するも黄色の服を着た坊主のスタッフが理由も言わずにNOの一点張り。空けてあるのに使ってはいけない意味がわからない。バスには充電もなければWiFiもない。国境超えのため少し値段が高めの安心できるものを利用したがサービスは最悪だった。他の安いものでも一緒だろう。

The bus driver spent the entire time talking on the phone and watching videos while driving. Shockingly unsafe. For whatever reason the bus stopped 5 different times on the way. Seats/beds were comfortable. When we got to Sapa they did drive us to our hotel but the shuttle driver was unimaginably rude and angry. Not sure why.

Wir wurden mit kleinem Van zum Grißen bus gefahren. Hat alles super geklappt. Der Bus hat irgendwann rinfach für 30 min gestoppt, was echt nervig war.. . Sonst war die Busfahrt gut und die Plätze waren ebenfalls gut.

The driver did not come at the rendezvous point. We had to call the agency that got us the next mini van, 1h15mins later.
After that, the next driver was rude.
But the vehicle was confortable and driving was OK.

Der Sao Viet VIP22-Bus war sauber und bequem. Ist halt etwas zu kurz für Leute über 180, aber diagonal im Bett ging es mit 186. Personal war freundlich. Wir hatten etwas Verspätung, für die Strecke aber ok. Ist definitiv zu empfehlen.

Zusammengefasst bin ich zufrieden. Der Bus fuhr eine halbe Stunde später und ein paar hundert Meter entfernt ab. Netterweise zeigte ein Mitarbeiter mir den Weg und half sogar meinen Koffer dorthin zu tragen.

Journey was fine and it was definitely one of the cheapest options for Dong Hoi to Phong Nha at the time. You have to accept some delay etc but given how many extra stops the bus took, it was never going to be the 4 hour journey that was suggested. It's not a complaint really, just worthwhile knowing for this journey.

I give 4/5, because the bus was new and clean and the driver was kind and helpful. We have arrived at the end with no problems.
BUT
There are bad things I need to mention here:
- we booked ticket for 16:15 but somehow the bus was full and we needed to wait for 17:00. Not OK, if you are chading a flight;
- the toilets at the bus stops, both at Hanoi and Sapa, were like taken out of a horror movie.

We arrived at 22:20 rather than 21:00…
Bus is one of the very old ones so no charging and I’m not sure the blankets are clean…

Ba und es war die schnellste Option mit 10h Fahrtzeit.
Start sollte 07:30 sein, der Bus stand im Depot, los ging es aber erst um. 08:00.
Der Fahrer und ein Helfer diskutierten lange, was sie mit meinem Ticket machen sollten, Ha Long stand am Bus, zumindest die Richtung stimmte.
Es gab 2 Pausen bis Hai Phong, das war ok. Es dauerte aber schon 9h, ständig gab es Stopps zum Ein- bzw Aussteigen.
In Hai Phong dann umstieg in einen einfachen Stadtbus, der zur Fähre fuhr. Die Schaffnerin wusste, wo aus aussteigen musste. Und sie sprach eine Mitfahrende an, die mich zur Fähre brachte und das Geld für das Fährticket und den nächsten Bus hatte. Auf Cat Ba dann wieder ein einfacher Stadtbus. Nach 13h war ich dann am Ziel in der Stadt Cat Ba. Alles eine schöne Erfahrung mit freundlichen Vietnamesen.
Aber nicht das, was ich gebucht hatte.

The seat was comfortable, but it was more than a 12-hour journey with only one stop which only happened 3 and a half hours after we had left Hoi An. As there were no toilets on the bus, this was a problem. After this, the drivers stopped for themselves many times in random places so they could smoke and pee, one of them peed just in front of my window too. In addition, the pick up and drop off places were different to the ones mentioned on the voucher and 12go website, and we arrived over an hour early (5 AM instead of 6:25), which made things a little tricky. Finally, it wasn’t really nice to keep smelling the smoke from the driver’s cigarettes he smoked while driving. Bad experience overall.

Left 2 hours late. Got on a bus, got comfortable and then got told that this was the wrong bus (which it wasn't, because not all of us who were going to Nha Trang gor dismissed), got taken somewhere else and got up on a different bus. Also, I understand that all the drivers don't know English, which is fine, but if there's a toilet or food stop, can't they just remember the words "toilet" and "food" so all the tourist know what's going on and don't have to ask all the bus passengers in hope that someone knows English and translates?

Bus was Not in good Conditions (old and used inside). The personal could not speak English and was very rude. On the way from Sapa to Ninh Binh (about 6-7 hours drive) we stopped only once foe toilet usage. But stopped several times to pick up people.
Good: the bus driver drove perfectly calm and save.

I booked online late at night for next morning. I received a confirmation early next morning and went to the travel agency 30’ before departure time. We left 15’ after the scheduled time, changed two times into mini vans and arrived a little later than the scheduled arrival time. All was good and organized.

Bus actually went from a different spot to advertised - had to get in someone’s car for a lift to the real spot. Beds were ok. Crammed - wouldn’t bring a bag into the cabin if you can help it. But expected that. Main issue was we arrived 45 minutes early and they didn’t communicate that we’d arrived. We checked Google maps and were still outside the town so thought this was just a quick toilet stop: then then started shoving all the bags out and shouting at us to hurry up. They helped load our bags onto scooters before we were even off the bus to you have to try even harder not to get scammed with an overpriced scooter ride to your hotel.

Abbiamo avuto grossi problemi di comunicazione e gli operatori ad Hoi An sono stati molto scortesi. Siamo partiti da Hoi An con 40 minuti di ritardo nonostante il conducente del bus sia arrivato quasi in orario, ma semplicemente sembrava non aver voglia di farci salire a bordo. Avevamo prenotato uno sleeping bus ma la partenza da Hoi An avviene con un van 12 posti e non con lo sleeping bus. Nessuno ci ha detto dove ci avrebbe portati questo van e che ci sarebbe stato il cambio ad Hue.
Una volta arrivati ad Hue, siamo saliti sullo sleeping bus e abbiamo aspettato quasi un'ora prima di ripartire senza che nessuno ci spiegasse il motivo. Il viaggio è poi proseguito nella norma, ad eccezione dello stop per cenare che è stato effettuato in un posto molto poco fornito.
Quindi, consiglio numero 1: comunicate di più e meglio. La comunicazione non è un optional, fa parte del servizio tanto quanto il trasporto.
Consiglio numero 2: fate delle soste in posti che abbiano una scelta almeno un minimo più ampia (dove siamo andati si poteva ordinare un solo tipo di piatto, nessun tipo di altro snack a disposizione se non delle merendine dolci confezionate e biscotti).

When I arrived in Hanoi to change to the next bus, there was nobody there to tell me where to go next. I had to call the company and somebody came and organised the next part of the trip. I think they had just forgotten me. In the end I arrived with 2 hours delay.

It was very convenient to have a ride to the airport from Tam Coc, but had to change vehicles twice, which wasn't mentioned on the booking. Also, the last driver was very reluctant to put on the heating, and I was absolutely freezing.

Ridiculously late, no staff or customer service at the station, the driver was yelling at us to get on board and take our shoes off QUICKLY as if it was our fault he was late. Also the back of my seat was broken.

It was a very strange experience having to switch to different vehicles without knowing that in advance but it was such a seamless transition from one vehicle to the next that it pretty much wasn't slower than going direct.

Decía que el bus salía 6:32 (rarísimo) y que debíamos estar media hora antes. Así lo hicimos pero el bus terminó saliendo casi una hora después y no del lugar indicado. Nos llevaron hasta el lugar de salida. Muchas paradas, el bus se rompió en el camino (una rueda) debimos llegar al destino con una camioneta particular. Fue muy agotador.

Just the usual. The sleeper cabins are ok. The tv does not work. The driver/operator cannot speak english. USB for charging the phone is nice. WiFi is wonky and unreliable.
5h30 was the time in the PDF, we were late by 1 hour. It seems that they were moving cargo(?), we stopped at some places to pick up cargo,where we shouldnt have, I think. We were not allowed to disembark the bus at this time.
We only had one 15 min stop for the 6 and half hour journey, which was a joke. We were not told anything.

It was great, drivers were early/on time. There were a few times we changed drivers. The tickets that included a picture of the pickup location were very helpful.

It was a splendid trip though I did get confused when told we were at the airport. This was explained when I spoke to the Viator office. There were 2 airports.

The pick up / meeting point provided was wrong and had to wait ages to be transferred to the correct place. The bus itself came over an hour and a half late and didn’t even drop us to the location as purchased on the ticket. Stopped way outside the drop of point and we were forced off the bus to be greeted by taxi drivers aggressively telling us to come with them as there is no other way to the drop off point as the bus isn’t going there despite it saying that on the ticket. Had to spend more money on a taxi despite buying a ticket to a specific place. Only positive was the bus was comfortable and had a curtain.
