It was so damn cold. It felt like 16-17 degrees. However, I slept like a Baby. And such a night train is just awesome from a time Perspective (not Llosing too much). Would do again.
We will just remember to put on some more cloth.
Oh and better ask for the prices of food and beverages on the train. They are quite expensive.

Ik heb deze trein al vaker genomen van bangkok naar chaing mai en andersom. Ongeveer 4/5 keer totaal.
Elke keer prima ervaring mer 12go nooit problemen. De trein zelf is altijd op tijd en schoon. Personeel in de trein is heel vriendelijk. Het enige nadeel is de airco die hard blaast.
Tevens was het voor mij niet mogelijk om een digitale ticket te krijgen. Het ophalen bij het hoofdkantoor in bangkok is helaas ook een nadeel

Too small bed for me, I am tall and also AC too cold but overall it was okay;) I would add some power socket in upper bed because there are some only very low and I couldn’t charge my phone.

Train was delayed by 10 minutes, but the train staff were helpful - no information on the notice boards.
The train was quiet and clean, everyone was asleep by 10pm with nobody snoring! We felt very lucky, as we got a good sleep in. No train changes and few stops, everyone was lovely onboard, lots of other backpackers.

Die Tickets wurden nicht zum Hotel gesendet wie anfangs ausgewählt, der Versand wurde erstattet aber war etwas doof da wir wie Tickets so noch kurzfristig abholen mussten.
Die Fahrt ging vom neuen Bahnhof in Bangkok aus, der wirklich einfach mit der BTS zu erreichen war.
Das Gleis war leicht zu finden und der Checkin war Problemlos.
Man konnte auf alle Fälle gut schlafen, toller Vibe im Nachtzug, es gab Essen und war ein totaler Traum im Süden bei Sonnenaufgang wach zu werden. Werde ich in Zukunft immer machen um in den Süden zu kommen! Tolle Erfahrung, unbedingt ausprobieren :-)

Everything super smooth. First Class Sleeper cabins are awesome, though I was impressed by 2nd Class cabin too, only a curtain for privacy but hey you're sleeping anyway!

Getting the ticket from 12go was a good experience. They answered all my quieries. Getting the ticket from Hatyai office was also a pleasant experience. Train ride in 1st class was definitely a very different experience from the usual 2nd class sleeper. This will be my preferred choice of travelling in the future if we ever take this train again.

I was pleased with my trip. Before the journey, my concerns were overcrowding, a sleepless night, having to set up the berth myself, and hunger. But my fears were unfounded. The train was uncrowded, I slept comfortably in a cozy berth, and a male attendant set up the berths himself. I was never hungry nor thirsty, because there were a lot of hawkers boarding the train from time to time to sell foodstuff. I now know that Thai Railways made sure it's passengers would be satisfied.

The train was great - clean, brand new and one of the safest transportation. It'll be better if the service provider can provide a cafeteria or at least a hot water service on the train since the journey took 20hr from Hatyai to Hua Lamphong.
And also need to train the staff in the parcel room as it creates confusion when we wanted to collect our online tickets. They do not know where and how to redeem our tickets!

It was a bit difficult to find the correct train station. The best way was to take the bridge/crossing to the airport (or from the airport) next to the Amari Hotel and then go down in the middle to the station ignoring the platform bound to signs. You can cross the railways without a problem and take the right platform (one leads to Bangkok, the other one out of it) once you reached the station.

That kind of trip always depends on the people you travel with. It was ok.
The toilet could have been better and neater.
And the lack of food and drinks as it used to be was a real negative point.

Fuimos en coche cama 1ra clase que tienes tú cabina privada para ti y un acompañante (en literas),los baños son compartidos y hay una ducha. El servicio muy bien, puntual y amables. Es un poco difícil dormir por el movimiento… no le doy 5 estrellas por que en tantas horas me falto un servicio de comidas o un bar …. Llevar la cena con vosotros :)

We are a family of x4 with two boys 11&9 and wanted a fun way to get to Chiang Mai. 12Go was so easy to book and the reminders were great. We picked up our tickets from the little station, bought some street food (there is no food on the train just water bottles) where we waited for the train. The train was on time and extremely clean and a lot of fun. The train stewards worked so hard making up beds and keeping the carriages clean the entire 12hrs. The toilets were always clean as well. We had our boys on top bunks and we were underneath. It was made back to chairs for the last 30/40 mins as we took in the amazing views coming into CM. We loved our trip and our boys especially enjoyed their adventure. We would definitely travel again with 12Go.

Overall a good service We were picked up at hotel, taken to ferry and met at the other side before dropping us at the train station. We were under no time restraint but at Donsak pier the van waited for an hour with no explanation. A brief explanation would have been helpful for those catching an earlier train.

Train was newer and very clean. AC was on full, so advise having a sweater or extra blanket on hand.

Very long journey, but great value for the price, and jungle scenery! Train staff were incredibly attentive, served snacks and food, and we were (surprisingly) only 10 minutes late arriving into Chiang Mai.

Took the overnight train to Chumphon and then boat to Koh Tao. We really enjoyed the train, second class a/c sleeper. The train set off on time but was three hours late arriving. That was fine by us as it avoided a long wait in the early hours in Chumphon. Apparently not many Thai trains run on time, but the sleeper was great. No complaints from us. Hooked up seamlessly with the boat transfer. All handled well by 12goAsia.

We are very happy with 12Go service. The tickets were very well packaged and we picked them up at the station. The train arrived 1h15 min late but it only arrived 45 min after the scheduled hour. The train was quite comfortable and quiet! Only that the light in the corridor stays on the whole night.

I took the train first class. To me, that is the way to go overnight. It was over 17 hours, but it didn't feel like it. I had a compartment with a bed and a sink, plus an electrical outlet, all to myself. The only drawback was I got very little sleep because the motion and the people in the compartment next to me were watching a movie till midnight, but that is not the fault of the railway. Helpful and friendly staff.

The lights stay on and the AC is pretty cold, so I'd recommend a jumper and an eye mask, but otherwise a great ride!

It started badly because the taxi driver took me to the wrong railway station, even though he had all the info and repeated me Don Meuang. 12go were so nice and helpful and were able to change my tickets for me to leave from the station that I was at. For a small fee I was able to store my baggage securely at the station and go for food and a nice walk to take up the 4hr wait. Although the train was departing at 18.10 I was allowed on and able to get very comfortable at 16.20.
I booked a first class sleeper for 1 person and the journey was really nice and comfortable. I was able to get a good sleep and arrived refreshed. The facilities on the train were clean and always available. The information given over the tannoy system was in Thai and English and the information system was good.
