Die Fahrt ging super schnell. Die Route war gebucht von der Khao San Road und war definitiv unter 3,5 Std, jedoch auch dementsprechend riskant.
Der Bus war in einem desolaten Zustand, hat uns aber sicher ans Ziel gebracht.
Preis-Leistung passt. :)

La personne qui nous a reçu pour l'enregistrement des réservations n'est pas aimable. Le mini bus est vieux et très sale. Par contre nous sommes bien arrivés à l'heure

They got us there. Maybe an hour later. They provided meal voucher for a small meal. The ac worked mostly. Seats were okay. Not great. Didn’t sleep much if at all. And at one point it severely smelt like poop so that was a bit rough. Had tiny bathroom by the stairs that worked for #1 not #2 so we were confused why it smelt so bad. But yeah probably would have flown next time.

I took bangkok to pattaya trip and Bangkok to ayuttaya trip. I had pre-booked the latter one. It was very convenient as they helped us in finding the right bus in big morchit bus stand and hassle feee transportation. Pattaya bus was very comfortable Ayutthaya trip is just an hour, by a mini van. Mini van was not that comfortable but good enough for one hour travel. The lady at the office is very co-operative and very nice

Le bus était très confortable, on s'est arrêté le midi pour manger, et on avait un repas inclus et le soir encore une pause pour manger. Sauf que nous étions censés partir à 8h30, finalement le bus est vraiment parti pour Chiang Mai à 10h30, et nous sommes arrivés à 22h30 au lieu de 20h30 comme indiqué. Les horaires inscrits seraient à revoir du coup

BKK to CNX. Bus left an hour late and then there was an issue that took 2 hours to resolve. Free snack, water, meal at pit stop, and taxi to my hostel from the drop off point in CNX. Seats were better than what I’m used to, but nothing special.

We were waiting for van about 45 mins. But the van and driver were ok! На одном ване вас довозяь до вокзала, там доведут до второго вана. Ван хороший и водитель приличный. Выехали на минут 40 позже, но в целом все хорошо.

Pros: Bus was clean and comfortable, they provided a bottle water and a package of cookies. Cons: LATE. LATE. LATE. My bus was supposed to get into Chiang Mai at 8pm, we did not arrive until after 11pm. No one informed me of the free meal, had to learn from other passengers. There was a lot of stops and when I initially got to the meet up point at 8am, we didn’t actually go to the bus station until around 10am. THEN the actual bus to Chiang Mai didn’t leave until 11am. Overall I’d rather take any other form of transport than do this again.

Wir hatten einen Reisebus mit Klimaanlage und Toilette gebucht und bekamen einen Minibus. Dafür hat es nur zwei Stunden anstatt dreieinhalb gedauert. Der Minibus war ok und der Fahrer ist relativ ordentlich gefahren. Im großen und ganzen kann ich den Transfer empfehlen.

I was unhappy with the minibus being late to take us to the bus. Then we dropped off some passengers at another bus station which made the journey long and tiring before I even got on the bus to Nongai. The sister met me at the bus station and took me to the Thai border on a motorbike. When I offered her a tip she refused. Luckily I had a backpack and not a case. The rest of the journey was uneventful though the Laotian Visa officials are slow. Maybe they don't want tourists. The whole journey was an adventure for a 73 year old.

Nous pensions rejoindre une gare routière et avons été un peu perturbée par le devanture de l'établissement et l'absence de renseignement comme nous avions 2h d'avances... mais 15 min avant notre départ en bus tout était très bien organisés ils nous ont emmenés en minibus jusqu'à la station de bus. Grand bus climatisé qui a bien vécu mais on a de l'espace pour nous jambes c'est important pour 13h de bus. À noter les repas sont compris dans les longs trajets (on peut échanger nos tickets contre un repas chaud ou boissons à la pause à mi chemin). Et pas de wifi contrairement à ce que j'avais pu entendre des bus les deux que j'ai pris n'en avait pas.

Nous sommes satisfait de l’horaire, départ à l’heure, arrivée à l’heure. Minivan assez confortavble pour deux heures de trajets. L’office est un peu n’importe quoi et le personnel à un peu de difficulté avec l’anglais mais dans l’ensemble c’est correct pour le prix.

Check in a little chaotic, but not unbearable. No toilet on bus and seats were a little uncomfortable, I managed to sleep the whole way and ride was quite smooth. Arrived quicker than promised time which was a bonus. Overall no issues. Got us from A to B

Kein besonders moderner Reisebus aber absolut in Ordnung. Wurden vom Reisebüro mit einem Kleinbus zum Reisebus gefahren und wunderbar beim Finden des richtigen Busses betreut. Kamen pünktlich auf die Minute an.

The bus was late because of security controls but the people from Tara Travel were trying to make the best out of the situation, apologized and gave us food when we finally were in the big, modern and comfy bus (but I think there are several busses driving so no guarantee that you will get this one) the people from Tara travel handed out little snacks. Just take warm clothes because it was even colder than normal busses usually are. Btw suuuuper cute dog in the office of the travel agency

Den Bus welcher um 16:00 uhr fahren sollte und um Mitternacht in Sukhothai sein sollte, währe erst um 3uhr in der früh angekommen. Sie konnten uns allerdings umbuchen. Zahlten allerdings nun viel zu viel. Da wir eigentlich einen kleinen bus mit extrakosten bezahlt hatten, und nun stattdessen in einem alten, verdreckten, nach toilettengeruch stinkenden bus 8h zu sitze ...
wir sind mehr als entäuscht über den service für 1300 baht, wobei die fahrt eig nur 620 gekostet hat...

I did manage to go from bangkok to kanchanaburi, but the part that was done by tara tour & travel was pretty bad. The people that work at tara are extremely unfriendly and they just drop you off at the busstation, so you can also just take a grab to the minivan terminal and buy a ticket there. The rest did go as planned although it took a bit longer.

Booked to pick us up at 11 but left at 11.30 but still got there on time :) Tara travel was a little hard to find as maps says it’s over the bridge on the right side but it’s the left of the road. Had to swap buses but got aircon and a comfy seat. Really lovely people

I got on a first mini bus that took me to another bus station, where I waited around 30 minutes for another mini bus to start.
I don’t recommend if you are in a hurry. As I was aware this could happen, it did not bother me. We got there in the end !

Booking process was easy. We arrived at the Khao San Road office 30 minutes in advance, as advised. We were told to wait and left only at 11.30, half an hour late, when a man came out of the office who had already been there when we checked in and led us to a van that had already been parked there ever since we got there... he drove us to the bus station and showed us the platform where again we waited for quite a while. No one told us what we could expect, they didn't speak much english so information was very poor. Eventually the mini bus arrived that would drive us to Kanchanaburi. This was a comfortable van with good ac. Along the route we stopped a couple of times to pick up or drop off passengers. We arrived in Kanchanaburi around 5.30 instead of 3.30 as scheduled. All together it was a comfortabele drive but if you choose the 11am bus just consider it a travel day and don't make any plans as the time schedule means absolutely nothing.
