Songserm operating out of Petcherat Marina in Bangrak offers a budget-conscious option for island transfers. Given the cheap prices, extra charges for overweight luggage are part of the deal, but completely expected for a budget carrier. The organization and customer service aren't the polished standard you might find elsewhere, though the check-in lady was lighthearted and funny, which made the process a bit more pleasant.
The vessel itself is a small, standard speedboat. The ride can get quite choppy, so anything longer than a 20-minute crossing could easily trigger motion sickness; luckily, the short journey time makes it manageable. On the plus side, the marina features a pleasant waiting area surrounded by a few cozy coffee shops to relax at before boarding. It gets the job done if you're looking for a quick, low-cost crossing

The bus was defect - it was raining and water came out of the air conditioner , many passanger got wet. The boat tour was a horror story - high waves and a heavy storm. I would not book the speed boat again, it was irresponsible to drive under this conditions

The speed boat from koh phangan to surat thani was very uncomfortable. Everyone in the boat was nauseous, the ride was very bumpy. I decided to leave that boat at koh samui and i took a sea tran. I was so dizzy and nauseous that i was ready to miss my flight from surat thani but i was not ready to sit in that speed boat for another 45-50 minutes.

The speedboat is an awful experience. I had no idea it would be so brutal & violent. The staff were nice and did try to help. But I would never do the speedboat ever again. We were also 30 minutes waiting for a problem with the motor to be fixed. The way we were crashing down on the waves was an absolute liability.

We traveled as a group of 4 adults and 4 children from Koh Phangan to Koh Tao. The speedboat arrived already full from Koh Samui, so we could barely find seats. Some of the children had to sit on our laps for the entire trip.
The sea was rough, making the ride very uncomfortable. Selling tickets without ensuring a seat for every passenger is not acceptable, especially when traveling with children.

Fast trip, on time but very bumpy & we got absolutely soaked by the water splashing in the boat so don’t sit on the back half if you want to stay dry! Overall ok but we will take the more relaxing slow boat next time.

Better than from Lomprayah Bangrak Pier. Easier ticket buying as well as all process. No one weigh your luggage.

The only reason I booked the van transfer was because I wanted to make sure I get picked from the hotel. I didn't care if they will drop me somewhere from thongsala. Call it 12go's mistake, or theirs, but one could not see if they will pick up or not from airport. Ultimately I had to let the whole booking go to waste since I took my own transport to thongsala and a new ferry to koh Phangan. What a waste.

The ferry service as such was very ok. But please fix “Royaljet 3” - its polluting the waters with oil and leaving a huge soot trail in the water. You cant stand on the rear deck because the smell from the burning oil and soot is destructive
