Geordie WFrom Siem Real to Pakse all the transport was handled by AVT and was great. From Pakse to Vientiane we boarded a bus from a different company they had subcontracted too which was atrocious. The bus was overbooked so we didn’t even get the two beds we paid for leading to an uncomfortable journey.

Tourists shold be told to try and make their border process as swftly as possible for respect for the others who are waiting, including drivers.

Pieter KFree pickup from the nearby hotel. Young and very capable driver. We were not informed that we have a one hour break just 1 hour before arriving at the border. It appeared logical as he remainder of the trip requires a 4 wheel drive vehicle. About 30 minutes after all border formalities darkness started.

Mia HArrived 30 minutes early. Picked up on time. Dropped to the correct destination. Did have to get in 3 different mini vans and a tuk tuk which was not mentioned but was fine. Car was not 3 years old or newer like advertised, much older. But overall good

Agnes CAfter a complicated start, everything went well !
They told us to go to Maneth Transportation in the morning, but it was closed ! In fact, we had to stay at our guesthouse, and the minivan came to get us directly there (with 45min late). Don’t panic haha and send them an email to be sure that they’ll come at your hostel.
After this start, everything went well : the drivers were super nice and we arrived on time !

Anthony R1) they ask us to take the boat from don det to the mainland at, 9:00 am, but when arriving we still need to wait 40 min...
Why not make everyone arrive at same time or take boat at 9:30 ?
2) They only stop for eating at a certain place (stung treng i think )where THERE IS ONLY ONE RESTAURANT AVAILABLE NEARBY ASKING 4X THE AVERAGE PRICE OF A LOCAL RESTAURANT AND TASTES BELOW AVERAGE.
THIS IS REALLY SOMETHING THAT CAN NOT BE DONE. DROP US OF SOMEWHERE WHERE WE CAN CHOOSE WHAT & WHERE WE WANT TO EAT. WE RE JUST BEING RIPPED OFF.
Coca cola costs: 2,5$, what a joke => 7eleven coca is at 0,66$
Instant noodles costs 2,5$ => same noodle at 7eleven costs 0,60$
3) Also when stopping for lunch, we dont know how long we have and when we ask when do we leave, they keep saying 10 min, 10 min.
We left finally like 1h after the stop which was only supposed to be 30 min
4) They ask at least 10 times to check tickets
The free dropoff to our hotels was nice and the 2 drivers in cambodia were really kind !

Kristi BEverything on time, well organized, I was always confident that I would arrive where I wanted to go, at approximate time expected. The 2nd van to Banlung not very comfy, AC barely worked on a hot day. But bearable. Driver didn’t speak English, I was the only non Cambodian on the bus. All fine it just makes it a bit more difficult to understand what’s going on.

Michael HFirst ride to stung Treng was very good. From there to Kratie they were to many people in the bus and they were transporting 250 KG of sugar in the aisle where the locals sit on. Funny but uncomfortable.

Jill FThe people were really friendly and everything happened as they said it would. The only thing was that we were cramped in the back of the minivan even though we paid for 3 seats for the 2 of us to try and avoid this. However, when we arrived in Siem Reap they gave us back the money for the third seat!!!! We didn't even ask - now that's what I call service.

Julia OWebsite was easy to use. Tickets were given at the company's office once we showed the voucher. Information about contacting company provided via emails. The company took care if everything for the price of the ticket. Hotel pick up, buses to the border, bus from the Laos border to Nakasang and the boat to the islands. The brief explanation was given at the first office. Guys know what they doing.

Dany TWe received a email about the exact location and the mini-van arrived just at the right time. He gave us tickets for the following minivans and boat. The minivan was Indeed quite récent, but you have only a belt for the belly and not for the torso, which i think is useless (thats why the minus one star). To be fair, all the minivans are like this. We eat at Stoeng Troeng for one hour and the Price for the food was really fair. Then we headed to the border on another bus. After the border, a smaller mini-van took us to the Pier to take the boat to Don Det. It was really smooth and the drivers were nice and helpul.

Nicola SWell explained about the trip at siem reap end. But we when got to the town before the border we were told to get out that he going back to siem reap. We were not advised and was unclear what was happening we waited two hours there before we drove to the border. The drivers were all good felt safe

Guillermo DWas pickup from hotel on time, in Pakse, in a good looking van. Did the rounds to get other guests and then we were driven to a location there in Pakse where we all transferred to an old beat up local bus. I was told that I was going to be traveling in a modern van. No, it was an old bus with very bad suspension. It’s AC was good, though. Exiting Lao and entering Cambodia, both sets of bureaucrats will rip you off. The Cambodian ones will literally bark at you and try to order you around. I sternly put a stop to that nonsense as I screamed louder than they did: it worked. The last leg into Siem Reap the driver decided to pickup a local lady, a very fat one at that, and the rest of us had to accommodate for that, resulting in crammed quarters for us paying costumers. In Siem Reap the tuk tuk driver said that hotel transfer was free. I corrected him by saying that the transfer wasn’t free, that it was included in the price we paid. The roads in Cambodia aren’t as good as the ones in Lao. All in all it wasn’t too bad. After all we’re here for the experience, aren’t we.

Marie LAmazing trip, l didn't get the part l had to change mini van though. A tuk tuk came to pick me up at my hostel right on time to the agency. From there, a mini van came and drove us to a place where l had to change mini van. The second trip was fine. Great experience

Aleksander JWe got to Don Det safely and the whole trip was well organised. We were taken care of, pointed in all the necessary directions at the border and generally have no complaints here. That being said, we were two hours late at our destination and the bus that took us to Laos border lacked AC, which with 37 degrees Celsius outside was a bit of a nuisance. In a nutshell - delivered at Don Det (pier?) safely if slightly delayed and sweaty...

Ruth MFirst half of the trip was excellent. After lunch stop we were put on new vans to go to the border, which was very squishy with luggage and the aircon wasn’t working properly.
The border stop was difficult and took too long although that is not the companies fault, it was getting visas at the Lao side of the border took over and hour.
After we had our visas we were then put in the back of a open truck with bench seats that wasn’t really big enough for 14 of us.
Finally once we got to the boat we had no issues and made it to Don Det fine.

Jolien VI was really happy that the booking office explained me the trip before I left. The first bus driver was not speaking English and dropped us in a restaurant. Luckily the restaurant owner told us that this was normal and we had to change buses. The next drivers were really kind to help us to fill in the papers to cross the border. But they don't cross the border with you and of course you are scammed and you need to pay extra to get the stamps. It was unavoidable. After the border crossing we needed to change buses again. In Pakse they brought me to another bus station to go on a sleeper bus. It was a really small bed and I needed to share it with a stranger. The ride was really wobbly and noisy. In the end I survived this long bus ride, I believe that all of this is a part of travelling Asia.

Hanne MWe were picked up in Pakse at our hotel by a big bus at the right time, but it was a while before we had gone around and picked everyone up from different locations in town and along the way. We rode the bus very close to the border, where we changed to a tuk tuk. Border control was not a hassle - if you look out for scams. 1) Do your visa beforehand or pay 400000 kip at the border. 2) Complete your own forms on the spot or pay 40 dollars for someone else to do it... 3) Have around five 1-dollar notes to pay for the mandatory stamp fee and extras - if you pay with a large note, they might not give back the change. The personel on the cambodian side were grumpy but gave understandable directives. When everybody had gone through, we drove off in a mini-van with good AC but no leg space. After a few hours we stopped for a quick lunch (around 2 pm) and changed to another mini-van. From there we drove straight towards Siem Reap, which was the longest part of the 4-part journey. We arrived an hour before schedule and from there we were driven in tuk tuk straight to our hotel for stops. Overall: Great service and many changes. Bring snacks and water!

Melissa XTook much longer than originally advertised/ told. Supposed to arrive 5:30.. then told 6-6:30pm.. but arrived at the pakse office just before 730pm.
Overall the trip was fine. Changed vans twice; once at lunch and once at the border crossing.
Crossing was easy, we were told in advance that the passport control would charge a stamp fee to exit and enter.
It was very quiet.
Overall well organised. Would recommend them.

Mei YJourney was alright. 1st Driver don’t really able to speak English. He just drop us and point us into a shop to wait. 2nd driver is quite alright, he pick up us at the shop and send us to the boarder, before cross boarder he inform us where to change kip. 3rd Driver is late for 1.5 hours. He pick up us from Laos boarder to Pakse. I was so worry because I still need to catch 8pm bus from Pakse to Vientiane. Due to the late, I didn’t have a time to take dinner at all. The sleeper bus from Pakse to Vientiane is alright, the toilet is too small as I expected. Overall, The journey is still smooth, I send email to AVT for the lateness of 3rd Van and they explain that is a traffic accident but the driver is still able to catch up the bus for me. This journey took 24 hours when I finally reach Vientiane. I think as a passenger is important to corporate with driver and understand how it work before you go up to a bus journey like this because I find out they are actually willing to help when you please.

Asger BI guess the trip was fine? We arrived at schedule, and had two breaks, one short and one for lunch. The van before lunch had plenty of Space, Even all seats were taken, but the seats were so bad! My back hurt a Lot after the first 4 hours.
After lunch we had a different van, better seats for sure! But there was litterally no room for anyones legs. They had filled all the legroom with huge bags of rice. Halfway between lunch and destination, we should have a scooter in the allready overpacked van.
The personal is good though, they don't speak much but they are kind when they do.
