Clean, comfortable and safe! Took the 1130pm lie down bus ride from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh and slept on the higher deck. It was a pleasant experience and we managed to sleep throughout the bus ride. Took the lower deck on our ride from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap and felt the bumps from the potholes on the journey a little more (also because i'm a very light sleeper) so i would definitely recommend the higher deck. The toilet on the bus was surprisingly clean. dry floors, clean toilet seats, and no smell. take it from someone who will try her best to avoid all public toilets. Very safe 6 hour journey. Drivers drive slowly.

The bus stopped for 10 minutes after 2 hours which was fine but then stopped only 1 hour later for over 30 minutes which I felt was a waste of time. Me and other customers were forced to sit on the bus whilst other people sat and ate food in a resturant. This felt like a way to get tourist dollars ad the menu was so expensive but for some customers such as myself, a faster trip with shorter stops would be much preferred.

We were put sitting at very back. We're 4 skinny enough gals and we struggled to fit in. No space to breath. All suitcases were stacked on floor so no room for legs. The other seats looked fine so avoid back at any costs. Air con was good though and it was on time.

This was the first bus we used in Cambodia and also the first of our trip in South East Asia so we were not sure what to expect. We were on a budget so $9 for a ride from Siem Reap to Phomh Penh sounded pretty decent. Firstly, Thero Express is definitely a legit company which was our main worry that we would turn up to the stop and there being no bus. We got on at the first stop in Siem Reap and they have an actual office and the company name printed on the side of the minibus. The bus itself was clean and modern, with working air con and WiFi which surprised us. The bus wasn’t full so we had a fair bit of space which naturally led to a more pleasant experience. The reason I can’t give five stars is because the bus driver was a bit dangerous and overtook several cars meaning he was driving on the wrong side of the road which was pretty scary especially in the dark when there were definitely some near miss accidents. The speeding meant we arrived about half an hour earlier than expected which I guess was a positive though we weren’t really fussed about how long it took. The driver also beeped at the tuk tuks and motorbikes he was overtaking in quite a manic way eg not one beep, six times per vehicle and this happened about twice a minute so it was quite noisy. Not sure if this is common in Cambodia and also it’s not the worst thing for $9 as we just wanted to get there safely and preferably with air con. So basically if on a budget I would definitely recommend.

Nice bus, lots of leg room and comfy. Had good WiFi and power outlets. Safe driver and smooth ride. Stopped twice (service stop- toilets were clean) but only negative is that they were within half an hour of each other (could’ve done with an extra one). Only had 30 minsfor lunch and lunch was horrible at a busy restaurant with disgusting toilets. However bus itself was very good.

Overall travel was pretty standard... i got a regular bus with a steward.... Was given a crossiant & a small bottle of drinking water. Were reminded to keep our seatbelts on for safety purposes as well. Honking was a constant thing as the bus overtook slower vehicles & made them aware it was passing through. 3 stops in between; the 2nd being a 20min break for lunch. A bit tight there. Hardly had time to even take a puff after my meal... The other 2 stops were about 5mins for restrooms. The time saved at the stops enabled my bus to reach its destination roughly an hour ahead of schedule.

Interesting experience, slept intermittently. Advice to fellow travellers if over 6ft this might not be for you as I only just squeezed in. I would recommend not bringing very much hand luggage as there is no storage space so you need to effectively sleep on it or with it. Feedback to Giant Ibis would be to try improve on board storage. Water bottle holder, somewhere for phone to charge rather than hanging down on you so that you get caught up with wires when you turn. I was on top bunk so might be easier below. One driver very friendly the other one a bit grumpy.

The visa service is pretty straight forward and easier to do than applying for it by yourself online

Our trip from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh went very smoothly with Giant Ibis. The bus left exactly on time, so make sure you are at the bus station 30 min before departure. In the bus we got offered water and a snack, there were 3 stops including one stop for lunch. And the bus arrived one hour earlier than scheduled, which gave us some extra time to reach te airport (15 km away from busstation drop off, about 45 min with the tuktuk). Bus was in good condition, Wifi, airco, everything worked, I would recommend taking this bus!

This is the bus ride that I did not expect. It was literally a sleeper bus with bed compartments for you to sleep. Amazing!

-Wi-Fi was broken -air conditioning was weak resulting in a sweltering interior -had two stops on the 7 hour ride, but they were 15 minutes apart?! Why not split up the ride?

Great bus, very easy and efficient. There was no bathroom, but we stopped for a bathroom break, then for lunch and then once more for a bathroom break. We got in 30 minutes early. We arrived at a different bus terminal then listed (although nearly by) but I can’t complain because it was on the same block as our hostel (eighty8). I would ride this bus again.

The reason I’ve given a 3 is because the air conditioning on the bus was Practically non existent. Your staff, however, the lovely lady who entertained us and looked after us, was absolutely fabulous and deserves 5 stars!

The bus helper did not tell us when any of the bathroom breaks would be and gave us attitude when we asked for water.

The bus helper was very unfriendly to us. He didn’t give us any advanced warning of when we would have a break which was very inconvenient for trying to stay hydrated. Disappointed as our helper last time was great

The best and most comfortable night bus. Slept the whole journey from Siem Reap to Phnom Penh. Just one thing, they should update the pick up station in Siem Reap. The existing pick up point (the coordinates as per booking voucher) is no longer utilized. They should at least update it as we were almost left by the bus due to unupdated information.

Sleeper bus with a fresh interior. Working AC and wifi. However no seatbelts in combination with a very reckless driver during nightime resulted in quite a few scares.

Good. Fast. Airco excellent. On time. Wi fi out most of time, not a big deal. A few too many stops for "friends" of the staff, 1 or 2 are fine but there must have been 4+

The ride was. Good. We left Siem Reap on time and we arrive Phnom Penh an hour early. So my pick up from the Hotel was obviously not there yet, the staffs in the Giant Ibis Bus stop were really helpful, they allow me to use there phone to call my hotel and everything went smoothly, thanks to them, very helpful and concerned staffs.

What a great way to get from city to city... Essentially bundled travel and hotel for $15. When choosing a bunk, Bottom bunks don't get the same airflow, but limit the opportunity of dropping stuff

Free shuttle ride from the Giant Ibis office near Pub Street to the real terminal. Sleeper deck is spacious. I rode on the upper deck and slept like a baby. I woke up when we were very near Phnom Penh stop already. Overall a very restful ride.
