Squalid, filthy and CRAWLING with cockroaches (stopped counting after 20 inside the compartment with us, crawling up the walls, floor and out of the sink (even after stopping it up with tissue and spraying DEET everywhere). How on earth Thai Railways get away with charging considerably more than 2nd for these falling apart and stinking carriages, I don't know. How can these be sold as first class? The area underneath the lower berth was literally scurrying with 'roaches. The carriage looked like it had never been cleaned and stunk, triggering coughing and stuffy noses. Revolting and disgusting and we did not sleep a wink.

The pick up situation is a little confusing. Maybe an additional sign next to the cafe would help. The bus had no usb charger, no blankets, and no water nor snacks which was a downer. My seat would not recline all the way. The waiting time between bus and ferry is relatively long - why not start the bus at 8pm rather than 7pm? The ferry was a little gross, and the luggage situation a little chaotic. But at the end of the day we arrived on time and in one piece, so solid 3 stars based on the cheapest price. And nice that they are the only provider for this route that has a pick up from Hua Lamphong scheduled ????????

Good service and friendly staff. I can't complain about anything. Everthing went well and exactly how they wrote it in the description. After check-in they drove us to a quiet luxurious place where we could eat dinner(nice buffet!). Then the bus came to catch us up. We had so far some more comfortable buses in Thailand but only the two of us and another couple were travelling. So we had the whole bus for us! In the morning when we arrived we could directly border the ferry and crossed over to Koh Phangan with a beautiful sunrise view. I can recommend this company.

Overall it was a comfortable journey; however, the seat was broken and kept sliding out underneath me into the bed position, which was a slight annoyance. Also, there is very limited space for baggage if you have a large backpack. I noticed in first class they had large luggage racks in the aisle. It seems you only get practicality if you pay more money. Unfortunately, I had to share my bed with my luggage, which was less than cozy. Otherwise, the staff was very attentive and polite.

Train was quite dirty and random hawkers came on trying to sell illegal beer. People kept trying to open the door at night while we were trying to sleep. Meal service was very overpriced and not appetizing. The toilets were atrocious. Would recommend paying the extra money for a flight. Did not mention the bus between the train and the ferry. Would not recommend.

The whole trip was great! The person at the residence took care of me; out of his own interest he shown me where the electric sockets are and gave me 2 water bottles. At 7pm sharp he took me to the hotel for buffet dinner which was exceptional! At 8pm I was lead to the bus where I've been told that Im the only one doing the trip. It gave me the comfort to choose any seats. One cons is the bus bathroom, I could smell it from couple of a meter away as soon as I entered the bus. Therefore I did my best not to drink water, so I wouldn't need to go in there. Overall it was great, thanks a lot!

Our cabin flooded from a leak from the roof we were not sure if it was water or fluid from the air conditioning unit. It was a very old train (train #85 car11 seats 1&2) and clear that this had leaked in the past as it had been covered over with brown tape, fortunately we had been sat in the bottom bunk when this happened. The staff just attempted to replace the linen on the top bunk until we highlighted that it was still leaking would not be acceptable for either of us to sleep on the top bunk. We also had to insist for the linen on the bottom to be replaced as it had leaked through the side and that something be placed on the top bunk to prevent it leaking into the bottom bunk. The only option we were given was to share the bottom bunk just as well we knew each other well!!!

Do not fly with thai air asia. They charged us for checking in bags. While weighing our bags she would not let us remove things to put into our carry on bags. The woman who served us had an attitude from start to finish. The flight attendants were also rude. Did not greet us or say goodbye. While giving the safety orientation, the flight attendant used my table without asking or acknowledging me. If she asked I would have been completely fine with it. Overall poor experience.

Staff were fanstastic the whole journey. Particularly the lady who works in the office prior to departure, she was amazing. You get taken to dinner in a close restaurant for food which was nice. Bus itself is excellent, comfy seats which almost completely recline. Only downside as mentioned in other reviews is the bus is freezing!! So definitely bring tracksuit bottoms and a hoody. Other than that good journey, ferry was fine

I think our 1st class sleeper carriage was one of the oldest - it was very tired and fairly worn. The bed linen was clean and fine, but both our neighbours in the next compartment and we had small cockroaches visiting us in the night! Staff were friendly and 'encouraged' us strongly to buy dinner and breakfast. We had brought our own things for dinner but did order breakfast, which was a perfectly adequate tray with coffee or tea. It was a good trip but the oldest carriages really need to be seriously overhauled and much better cleaned/maintained.

Cannot fault the service from 12go easy booking and easy pick up. The service charge is a lot but you're paying for the convenience. However the journey itself was a nightmare, the carriage broke down and we had to get off at 2am and all that they had for us to get on was a 3rd class bench car. We arrived 2 hours late. Not the pleasant journey we had hoped for but we were given a refund.

Horrible trip, spend a little more money and go by air. Rude and dysfunctional trainstaff. Nasty overpriced food. (The alleycats in my neighborhood would puke for 2 days og they ate this trainfood). When my girlfriend and i slept we only used one blanket and in the Morning the other one was gone(our neighbors used it because they where freezing. We had a 10 min drama with some imbicil caretaker og beds, she screamed in thai and We didnt had a clue what she was babling about.while she was calling the police our neighbours woke up and returned the blanket. If you miss some action + boredom in your life, want to die a slow malevolent death of foodpoison, or end you days rooting in a thai prison then this is the ride for you Or else never go near this satanic train from hell.
