Inconvénients du voyage en bus

J'ai été prévenu 12 avant que mon heure de départ était décalé de 10h a 11h. Ce n'était pas mon pratique pour moi mais je n'avais pas le choix.. Tant que l'on roulait dans Phnom-Penh il faisait chaud dans la voiture. Ce n'est pas normal que l'on s'arrête pour prendre de l'essence juste après le départ.

Nous n’étions que 4 de la même famille à avoir réservé, ils ont donc changé le bus pour une voiture. Nous sommes partis avec 20 min d’avance, tout s’est très bien passé.

On comprend que suivant la circulation le bus n'arrive pas à l'heure mais que l'on attende 40 mn des retardataires pour partir ce n'est pas normal. Ils nous ont fait monter dans le bus à l'heure de départ et après 15 mn nous avons eu un message retard pour 20 mn puis encore 20 mn alors que nous aurions pu rester dans la salle d'attente plus confortable ou se promener aux abords. Évidemment aucune excuse de ces retardataires mais la compagnie n'est pas responsable de ce manque de savoir vivre. Dommage car le personnel est très gentil. Nous nous sommes arrêtés en chemin pour faire le plein et devinez, les personnes à l'heure ont pris leur temps et il a fallu aller les chercher.

Trajet ok sans retard, tout s'est bien passé. Premier bus de Saïgon a Phnom Penh très confortable, passage de frontière en 15 min mais on était que 4 passagers donc c'est forcément rapide. Changement à Phnom Penh pour un mini-van jusqu'à Sihanoukville, pas très confortable mais c'est ok. Parcontre, le prix sur 12go est le double de celui proposé par les agences a Saigon directement.

Compagnie très flexible, notre bateau a Koh ring ne c’est pas arrêté du coup on a loupé le départ de 11h ils ont été très compréhensif et nous ont déplacé pour le départ de 14h30 sans frais supplémentaires.

All seemed fine at the start but then ended up arriving in Samloem 2hrs later than stated, waited over 1h for the ferry while other firms boats were leaving. At the pier there was no sign of the firm everyone seemed so disoriented and had to ask around, the ferry also went to 2 Koh Rong piers first then stopped at Samloem(the ferry journey in total was over 1.5h). You may want to look for separate bus and boat rather than pay 45$ for smooth transfer and arrival in Samloem which you wont get (also this price inc return ticket so you bear that in mind when coming back)

The trip from Phnom Penh to Sihanoukville was ok. Only one stop (10-15 minutes). The trip takes about 3.30 hours, a little bit longer than expected. The bus was comfortable and the road is in good condition.

Le conducteur au top et les différentes personnes de la société étaient tous super mais les passagers avec nous étai irrespectueux. Deux fois trop de bagages et ils pètent sans vergogne dans le mini bus donc une odeur nauséabonde nous a accompagné tout le long du voyage.

the booked operator changed my ticket to a different time with an different operator. I received th information 30 minutes before my original departure time. In total I departed at 8:45 instead of 7:30 am.

Amazing service! Got a private taxi with big and comfortable seats to Phnom Penh. Then we waited there for around half an hour before a van picked us up and took us to Ho Chi Minh City. Border was easy and van was comfortable.

Very comfortable and superclean minivan from Sihanoukville to Phnom Penh with Wlan and aircon. We were only two passengers. Changed to a bus in Phnom Penh, had to wait there about an hour which was no problem at all. Bus was comfortable as well with a lot of space. At the border we didn‘t really know what was going on, but everything worked well and was arranged for us. Don‘t worry if they take your passports, they organize everything for you. We arrived in Ho Chi Minh about an hour late due to weather and traffic. All in all it was a good journey with no negative aspects.

The first part was fine, but the second half from Phnom Penh to Seam Reap was the worst. I stuck in the back of the van where it was beyond cramped. That portion of the trip took over 6 hours, which might have been due to the multiple stops the driver made: I counted at least four restroom stops, not to mention the extra passenger drop offs.

There must have been no other customers this day, because we got a private car (BYD with perfect air conditioning) for 2 people. We arrived early, with a 10 minute pitstop, and the transition to the ferry was almost seamless.

I booked my ticket so that I would arrive in Siem Reap for 7.30pm however when I reached my transfer in Phnom Penh they told me I would have to wait until 4.30pm for my bus meaning that I wouldn’t arrive until around 10pm. When I questioned this as there was an earlier bus leaving which would have got me to Siem Reap on time the employee just looked at me and laughed. There was no explanation as to why my arrival time was pushed back 2.5hrs and this caused a lot of stress as I was unsure if my hostel reception would still be open on my arrival. I understand that sometimes things change but to have someone laugh in my face and give no explanation was not acceptable in my eyes.

We travelled from Phnom Pehn To Koh Rong Samloem. The bus left on time, had one break allowing us to use amenities and got to the pier on time. Our ticket had the ferry included which made it very simple.

After taking the boat we needed to waiting for 1.5 hours to get into the bus. After arriving in Phnom Penh we needed to change busses and needed to wait for another hour for it. So we arrived almost 2 hours later then expected and it was just because of the long waiting-times. The busses do not have any leg room if you’re a bit tall so it was not comfortable at all.

The AC was broken, that bus was an oven. Also it tooked forever, we did in 5h what a normal ride would be just 1h, the bus was stopping every 20 minutes in random stops. I don’t recommend this trip at all!

took way longer than it said. went from sihanoukville to siem reap, it said 9 hrs but it was 12. we were in a decent sized mini bus to phenom penh but then they moved us to a tiny mini bus with not enough room for everyone and their bags. there were bugs in the bus too. the bus driver stopped every 20 minutes, even after everyone on the bus kept asking if he could just carry on driving because we were already late and he just laughed in our faces. wouldn’t recommend.

We paid a little more than we needed to because the transport was advertised as a “comfort minibus”, the photo also appeared to show a type of vehicle that we’ve been happy travelling on before. What we actually got was a regular minivan. I hate minivans, they are the worst kind of transport going for a long journey. They pack you in like sardines, they struggle to fit everybody’s luggage in, the seats are too close together and there is little leg room. In fact, if you end up in the row behind the driver, there is no leg room at all. They are ok for short journeys but are very uncomfortable for longer journeys. I would not have booked this had I known in advance.

It’s not very luxurious when you sit at the back. They stopped multiple times in Phnom Penh to drop people off, and at one point, during the last hour of the journey, a guy got on and had to stand because there were no seats left.

Mixed experience. First part from Hcmc to pp went very smooth, all on time, stops exactly as promised, immigration went very quick also due to help from a driver. Second part from pp to Sihanouk not so good, i was placed in a van and waited there for about an hour until other passengers arrived. We had a substantial delay (1.5 h) and the driver drove very dangerously for about 30 minutes.

Going from koh Rong sanloem to Saigon with a single ticket was already amazing. The trip went well and cherry on the cake we arrived at a walking distance of my hotel. Speed ferry was good, bus was vintage but comfortable. Excellent value for money !

Journey was good, border crossing went very easy. Only thing is that the bus drivers tried to charge us money for a so called “border fee” which doesnt exist. Also for a visa which we allready had, so that didnt make any sense. Watch out for that!
