Arrived at 6:40am at Corong-Corong bus station for 7am departure to Puerto Princesa airport. Nobody from Lexxus was even at the bus station, just an empty desk. Other passengers were also waiting. A woman from another company called the Lexxus rep, who apparently told her the van would not leave until 8am. This was going to be too late for one of the passengers who had an earlier flight to catch. I took the rep's number and phoned her myself and told her we had booked and paid to be leaving at 7am, and that she better get there quickly. She arrived at about 5 minutes before 7, then pointed us to a van and driver that had been sitting there the whole time (obviously 8am was just when SHE wanted to come to work that day). Myself and 3 others got on the van, but we still did not depart. Apparently we were waiting for other passengers who hadn't turned up - surely this is not company policy? That we are supposed to just sit and wait for people to turn up whenever they feel like it? Eventually one late girl showed up at 7:30am. We still did not leave. I think we were waiting for other late people, but we said we needed to go. Finally left at about 7:40am. We stopped at a local food place on the way for lunch at about 11:30am. DO NOT EAT HERE. I had some noodles with pork and two mini spring rolls. I started feeling ill about an hour later. Made it to the airport and was then violently sick for the next few hours. I could not stop vomiting, tried sipping some water, threw it up repeatedly, also constant diarrhoea which has continued for two days afterwards. My flights home were horrendous, never been so ill. Made it to doctor who has diagnosed very severe food poisoning - I have been signed off work today, am writing this from very close to bathroom at home! I know the hygiene of the food prep is not Lexxus' fault, but perhaps there is somewhere else they could stop with better standards? The rep not turning up until actually phoned by a customer (using my own phone and money) and told to get to work is unacceptable, as is making passengers who arrived on time sit and wait for others who are late - especially when they have flights to catch.

Very uncomfortable old minibus, totally inadequate air-conditioning and poor suspension on the rough roads. The drivers regularly stopping to pick up passengers to make sure the bus is packed, even though this is supposed to be prohibited. Would not recommend this service.

Me and my friends were able to board an earlier van and so arrived quicker to our destination. Bumpy ride though. The driver was so kind and dropped us at our hotel.

The ride and van were comfortable. My online booking was convenient and the lady at the terminal had my infomation. However, the entire ordeal was a disaster. The actual driver did not show up. There was no backup plan in place. There was no management to contact. A Filipino traveler eventually helped us get onto another service at 11:30, a full 2hours after our original time of departure. I have traveled through SE Asia and am pretty flexible about traffic delays, tire checks, oil. Etc. This was ridiculous. And there was no communication of information. Also, the company needs to charge people with large luggage on site.
