The email that the company sent said the driver would be dressed in a black polo barong, slacks, and black shoes and that he would be holding a sign with my name on it. He was not dressed as described, and I saw no one with a sign with my name on it, making it impossible to know who my driver was at the airport waiting area. I called the contact number listed on the ticket five times and no one answered. I contacted the support team saying my driver was 30 minutes late and that I couldn’t reach him at the callback number, so they sent me an email back saying what my original pick up time was and gave me the same operator number I had already been calling. I replied back saying it was still 30 minutes later and that the number didn’t work. Finally, almost an hour after my scheduled pickup time, the operator’s secretary emailed me with his direct number and I was able to call him, only to find out he had been there the whole time. What would have made that experience better would be if the company gave a more accurate description of the driver, or if the driver actually followed the dress code and sign holding that the company gave me. How am I supposed to know that when you say “black polo barong, slacks, and leather shoes, holding a sign with your name on it” really translates to “plain white t-shirt, khakis, and no sign?” Additionally, I found it very unappealing that throughout the entire 5 hour drive he kept hawking loogies out the window. It was gross to listen to.
