Barato & Bueno no será Rápido. (p.ej. trenes VIP en Tailandia)
Rápido & Bueno no será Barato.

We had booked our return for 8 am, after an hour wait they told us that the bus would be two hours late. We had our day planned in Hanoi and couldn't waste two hours due to irresponsible planning from the bus company. We got a sleeper bus instead which was cheaper and much more comfortable than this "luxury" van.

The bus is quite comfy if you are not very tall person. They don't let you have any food inside. We used it to go to Sapa and then back to Hanoi. On the way back there was no WC on the bus even though there was supposed to be one. They stopped only once to let us use the toilet and then we were supposed be in the bus for more than 4h without stopping or WC. For the price the bus is not bad but the service is not the best.

We booked a 1st class from Lao Cai to Hanoi with only 2 beds but was given a 4 beds. The air con was not cold at all so we make noise to the train station master. At the end they changed us back to another 4 beds. We are very disappointed as we paid so much for 1st class but get 2nd class bed.
Respuesta de 12Go:

Dear Lee Kim Leng,

Thank you for the rating and the review! For all private train services in Vietnam there is no difference in the quality of bed between 2 person cabins and 4 person cabins. In the 2 berth VIP Sleeper the upper beds are supposed to be folded up and that is the only difference.

We understand your frustrations and concerns regarding this service. Please accept our sincere apologies for this less satisfying experience you had with the operator. You may rest assured knowing that we will pass these concerns and issues on to the management of the operator. We are hopeful that the matter will be investigated and improvements implemented.

We are sorry for the inconveniences and hope that you will use our services again.

I always forget that the private booked VIP buses do not run on as tight a schedule as trains, we were the first pickup for the van and he was 15 minutes late, after all pickups we ddin't leave Sapa until an hour after we should have. The ride is great for the first half, sit on the passenger side for the best views as you wind down out of the mountains. The second half of the trip on the highway is less exciting, and somewhat bumpy as the road is not smooth at the transitions onto / off of bridges.

We arrived more than one hour late in Hanoi. Driver did not speak any English at all, couldn’t even tell us for how long we paused at the rest stop. It also seemed that the driver picked up some friends to drop them off in another town which costed quite a lot of extra time when we were already late. They also refused to drop us off at our hotel because it wasn’t in the old quarter. A bit stupid since it was JUST outside the old quarter. Only positive thing we can dat is that the van is comfortable.

We were made to seat at the front seat of 2 person as the vehicle is full and we were the last to be picked up. i don't think it is fair to let us seat uncomfortably at front when we paid the same price as others. As we refuse to board, we agreed to take a cheaper option of sleeper bus. It was not as comfy and the driver speaks no english. The agent did not inform the driver that we are going to the old town hanoi, and when we told the driver, it was already almost outside of the city. The bus dropped us in middle of nowhere and we had to use and pay for taxi to our hotel. I think the front seat should not be sold or at least at cheaper price.

Very comfortable bus journey - seats were incredibly spacious and and comfy and as there's also a gap between all the individual seats there's no worry of another passenger sitting half on your seat too! Had charging ports, air con, free bottle of water and a tv screen. Only down side is that this is a fairly short bus ride and we stopped off quite a lot making the journey longer than it needed to be. A suggestion would be putting a tv programme or film on the tv screen instead of just a lady singing and then keeping this on for the duration of the journey. But all in all one of the best bus journeys we've had in Asia.

The beds are pretty short for a tall European. Our neighbours was snoring beyond healthy and acceptable standards. Toilet, sheets were clean. We got complimentary banana, water and cookies. Staff to help while boarding was organised.

The day before departure the girl from the hotel did send a message Where we needed the pick up service. It was right across the pick up point. At 8:15 we still didn't see a bus and called. They are on the way was told. At 8:30 still no bus. We called again. They are coming was told. One moment they said. At 8:45 still no bus. Called again. Then they told us that the wrong people where at our place. And that the bus was already on it's way to Hanoi. Then we received a taxi at 9o'clock to the bus that did stop for us. On the bus i had to sit next to the driver because it was full. There was no leg room at all and this is not where i paid for. The only good thing was the driver that is why i rated it 2 stars. Otherwise it was -5. The driver did his very best for us to catch the next bus due we where delayed for 1h. And he made we could catch the next bus.

very satisfied. the bus was clean as everyone had to take shoes off. the sleepers were nice, comfortable enough for me at 180 cm although the smaller you are the better as you can then stretch your legs out properly. we stopped twice with enough time to have food a stretch our legs a little. we were happy and would use them again.

You should not charge full price for putting passenger in in the front seats next to the driver, which are less comfortable to regular seats. The pick up is confusing and was delayed for 1.5h.

Everything was good until we arrived in Hanoi at 2am (2 and a half hours early) and got shouted at that we all had to get off the bus. We had to literally sleep on the street with our bags until things started to open at 6am. DO NOT BOOK unless you have somewhere to stay when you arrive in Hanoi!!!! (Which I think defies the whole object of getting the sleeper bus). Such a shame because the actual bus itself was great and really comfy they just need to be a lot more honest about arrival time as I’ve seen other reviews that set they arrived at 2am too.

We originally booked for Sapaly Express but were transferred to "Oriental Express". The agent said they were on similar on all levels. She was so Far From Wrong. We just did the Hanoi to Sapa sleeper train on ET-Pumpkin and they were great. Bunks folded up for our private room for 2 and had electrical outlets. Oriental Express was clean. Mattresses just a uncomfortable firm but we asked for a private room for 2. We got private quarters but there was NO functioning electrical outlets and the top beds were bolted down giving a very Claustrophobic sleeping situation. We got a private room for 2 to avoid that but the extra we paid for was a waste. This company is not good for a private room. I would go with Sapaly or Pumpkin only in the future.

It was a pleasant trip except for: 1. We were informed that the boarding point is Apollo hotel. However, when we reach that hotel..we were brought to another hotel across the road. The boarding point communicated is confusing. 2. The blankets are dirty and not changed for few trips (we saw them folded the used blankets for the next batch of passengers). 3. The driver smoked towards the end of the trip in a closed and air conditioned bus so it was really stuffy!

The bus office address in Sapa "No. 9 Pham Kim Dong Street, Sapa" is WRONG !!! I had a hard time running around looking for the office & bus, even took a taxi and went to different bus companies. I almost missed the bus from Sapa back to Hanoi. Such a disappointment and anxiety caused to a solo old female traveller! I highly recommend the GREEN BUS which is located a few doors from No. 9 Pham Kim Dong Street.

Prima reis.

Buses are good, however the drivers are dangerous and reckless. Both on the way to Sapa and on the way back the drivers are dangerous. Passing on blind corners and with oncoming traffic.

It's fine, but overpriced. Driver overtook on blind corners and hills, and with oncoming traffic that was way too close. Not a mode of transport I'd recommend to anyone else. Train is longer, but more comfortable.

We got the 9 seater VIP van for our trip from Sapa to Hanoi. The whole ride was pleasant. There wasn't any beeping sound as well. It only beep if the driver was speeding. Driver was friendly as well. We had 1 stop for toilet break. The only problem we had was that the whole van was full, and we were a party of 4 and the last one to board the van. 7 seats were good and spacious, the remaining 2 was the front seat beside the driver. I don't think they should have assigned the front 2 seat for paying customers, as it was really lacking as compared to the spacious and comfortable seats at the back. The passengers seats felt like a VIP ride but not the front 2. For my party of 4, 2 of us had to sit at the front and that wasn't comparable to the amount we paid. Apart from that the ride was good. The seats at the back comes with USB charger as well.

Bus was late about an hour. Didn’t seem like he was there to pick us up. After being on the phone for 20 min, they finally said we could get on the bus. We were then directed from the van 15 minutes from hotel to a smaller car. Was fine but may want to inform future riders that this can happen. All in all ride was okay.
