Barato & Bueno no será Rápido. (p.ej. trenes VIP en Tailandia)
Rápido & Bueno no será Barato.

It is the best service we have received in Vietnam (We have been in Vietnam for two months). The workers are friendly. They have free water and cookies service. They have also provided us with a lot of relevant information during the trip. It should be noted that in other companies they treat you with insults and shouting. They treat your luggage badly (kicking and throwing it in bad ways). And they may even try to hit you (it has happened to us). 90% of Vietnamese are racists and try to rip you off at all times (be very careful). On the other hand, this transport company is another story, we have felt at home. Thank you very much for having decent service.

The van used to be luxury at some point, now it is more like a second hand used car with stained carpet, holes in the panel boards, faulty seats and inconsistent source of power. The driver was accompanied by two of his friends, all teenagers. They were laughing, talking and playing music very loudly not letting us sleep. They were driving very irresponsibly, above the speed limit, overpassing every car they had in front, driving in the middle of the road... It was very dangerous and we had to ask them several times to slow down. This made the van jump a lot which also made it impossible to sleep or have a relaxed journey. Overall I will never book with them again.

A little disorganized with very small sign to get tickets in exchange for voucher. For families with small children the train leaves at 10 pm and you have to find the train, a tout helped me and expected at tip which I gave willingly. The train itself was fine noisy yes but this is Vietnam and I didn’t expect any less. Beds comfortable A/C worked fine.

Departure time from hotel was 15:00, luckily we arrived early (14:35) as the driver was already waiting for us. No Hello nothing , bag into the van and go in 1 minute ! One word: horrible. Green Lion didn’t pick us up st our hotel, and the manager keeps on saying that this is our fault. Although the receptionist of our hotel made 3(!) tel. calls to green lion in which we were told that surely we would be picked up. Later, when we tried to find a solution in the msnsger’s office he made a tel.call to 12togo.asia in which he simply lied and told tren that we never made the phone calls. Anyway, long story short: we had to pay an extra night in Hanoi, had to find a new bus company to bring us to Sa Pa. Although this may have been a stupid incident, we are all human aren’t we, the way this green lion man treated us was so appalling and rude that this attitude in itself should be reason enough for you, reader, to not engage with this guy ever. What a jerk.

Very nice when you are not longer than 1.80 meter. Otherwise there will be no place for your feet.

No elevator, very hard with heavy bags. I slept comfortably, even though the "soft" bed was really really hard, the train's rocking motion, I think. Worse part was the bathroom, ewww, stinky! Beware of people, even those in uniform, they sold me a bus ticket for 45,000 vnd, but lead me to a grey van. They told us Sapa tour was part of it, then later said not. Go out of the station & book the large buses on your own

It’s a frustrating trip for us where the company left us waited for 30 minutes delayed without any place for us to sit but have to stand outside of the office. We then had some argument with the staff with their seats arrangement and found out the company has combined two different trip’s passengers into one for their own benefit which literally just had the transport carrying overloaded passengers of 9 passengers plus 1 driver. We were so disappointed with the whole trip.

This is for pumpkin train - The train beds are comfortable and toilet was fairly clean. Just the unstable wooden noise from the dividers when the train moves. We also had a bad experience when boarding the train as we do not have the tickets (we pre booked and only have the voucher which we tot is sufficient) and are confused with which platform and train to board. There was a guy approaching us offering help to find us the train. And when he got us the tickets he brought us to the cabin and he immediately asked us for tips, indicated how much he wants which was very intimidating. He wouldn't leave until you give him the amount he wants. Just be careful when you board the train and get your tickets.

The limo van had more features than comfort. Was 1 hour late to pick us up and maybe that is the reason we didn’t get a bathroom stop in the 5 hours ride. 2 girls threw up and the driver didn’t stop. When we got to Sapa the driver was extremely helpful finding our out of the way hotel.

Old worn out rail car, in terrible condition. It said Orient Express on the shoddy linen covering a 35mm rock hard "matress" but not OE quality by a very long margin. Looks no different than VN Rail other than plastic flowers and crappy cookies. I fully suspect was VN Rail and not OE as i paid for as the car was not brand labeled and rusted out junk Toilet was disgusting, French neighbours insisted on smoking, and VN kids running down the hall raising hell until I shut them down. My wife and I had a private cabin, and even so I am driving back Terrible and nothing like the advertised pic to the point of being misleading and/or deceptive

Fking ridiculous transport i’ve ever met. We wait from 2am until 8pm+ infront of the shop. They don’t even let us know until we ask the neighbour to call and ask for us. After that, they telling us they’re in jam, give them 30 mins and 30 mins again until 8pm, the guy call taxi and drive us about 30 mins journey to the limousin. Then i thought it’s on the way to Sapa already but the driver don’t, he still drive to airport to fetch customer the limouskn fully seated. When you reached Sapa, driver won’t drop you to the location you want. So disappointed with this transport!!

The drive itself was very pleasant and I was able to sleep (had an overnight journey from Hanoi to Sapa). We arrived in Sapa at 4am and were still allowed to stay in the bus until 6am to sleep some more - that was very nice. Also welcomed that there was a toilet on the bus. The only thing missing was toilet paper.

Trip booking went as planned from 12go. Tickets were sent within the hour via email. We chose the Vietnam Railways option, soft beds. There is no difference from the more expensive companies, other than getting bottled water, a coffee from the cart and a hand wipe for double the price. You may be in a cabin for more expensive guests, so don't be surprised if you don't get any complimentary items. Train and cabins are old, clean and basic. Train left and arrived on time. Toilet facilities could be improved. Would recommend 12go for booking this journey. Was charged in Thai Bhat.

train #SP3 VIP Sleeper 4x, Violette Express Train
★★★☆☆
The printed ticket adviced us to go straight to the coach and show the ticket to the ticket-taker. The railway personnel at the gate would not let us on to the platform because we did not have an 'official' ticket with a bar code. They adviced us to get the official ticket...unfortunately Violette has no office st the station, so we didn't know what to do. Thanks to Kings Express train personnel - they called to the the Violette person and told us that he/she was coming and we woukd have to wait. Finally we did get in, but after too much drama. The train csbin was nothing like in pictures, but we manage to get to Sapa. Violette personnel should be at the gate at the same as railway personnel. Would save nerves... I'm not going to recommend Violette Express train to anyone who is going to Sapa for the first time. It's too confusing.

The bus is very clean and departed on time. Our only concern was that the departure location (in Sapa) changed without our knowledge. I assume this is the bus company's fault for not updating the departure location. Tip: confirm the departure location!
