Barato & Bueno no será Rápido. (p.ej. trenes VIP en Tailandia)
Rápido & Bueno no será Barato.

They pick me up exactly in time. The beds are nothing espectacular but ok., and tall people might have problems so ask before booking it. They offer you blankets and a pillow, some snacks and water as well, which I didn't expect. The tour guide was very kind. We got in Sapa even earlier than supposed.

It is the best service we have received in Vietnam (We have been in Vietnam for two months). The workers are friendly. They have free water and cookies service. They have also provided us with a lot of relevant information during the trip. It should be noted that in other companies they treat you with insults and shouting. They treat your luggage badly (kicking and throwing it in bad ways). And they may even try to hit you (it has happened to us). 90% of Vietnamese are racists and try to rip you off at all times (be very careful). On the other hand, this transport company is another story, we have felt at home. Thank you very much for having decent service.

The van used to be luxury at some point, now it is more like a second hand used car with stained carpet, holes in the panel boards, faulty seats and inconsistent source of power. The driver was accompanied by two of his friends, all teenagers. They were laughing, talking and playing music very loudly not letting us sleep. They were driving very irresponsibly, above the speed limit, overpassing every car they had in front, driving in the middle of the road... It was very dangerous and we had to ask them several times to slow down. This made the van jump a lot which also made it impossible to sleep or have a relaxed journey. Overall I will never book with them again.

Overall our trip was very very good. Easy picking up tickets, attendants pointed us to correct train car, etc. Cabin was clean, with clean sheets. We saw that there was WiFi but never got the password. Train bathroom was questionable but not the absolute worst. No toilet paper when we first arrived, but it was refilled the next morning. There were 2 sinks separate from toilet so you can brush teeth, etc.! We got a 2-person private cabin, so the mattresses were doubled up, firm, which I liked. Train is rocky and loud so bring ear plugs! Would do it again!

The whole cabin had an underlying toilet stench which took a long time to get used to (unfortunately the only option). The ride was too bumpy, I consider myself a deep sleeper and even I woke up 3-4 times at night, while some in our group weren't able to sleep at all. The AC didn't turn on for the first 3rd of the trp 2 starts only because it got us to sapa on time and the bed/pillow/sheets looked clean.

Making numerous call when driving at hill road is dangerous. My parents was sat at the end seats, very shaky n bumpy because of the uneven road. Like a roller coaster. The train bed is small but just sufficient space to sleep. The toilets are not the cleanest so if you want to use, use it before sleeping. Someone will knock on your door to wake you up in the morning - to sell you coffee/ tea/ hot chocolate. There is a toothbrush set, some crackers and wet wipes provided on the train as well. Also refrain from bringing a large luggage as the room had not much space to walk. 12go.asia is reliable! Managed to get my tickets at the location they mentioned as well.

The driver was quite arrogant and very grumpy - quite scary driving as well - passing on corners etc. It was meant to be first in first served but there was a seat reserved which I didn't think you could do? The driver told us to move because a group of 4 were getting on and they wanted to sit together so my daughter and I had to sit separately which I didn't quite understand. But nice and comfortable van and on time. However, unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this company.

Driver put our backpacks (containing clothes and electrical equipment) in a muddy puddle while rearranged the luggage to put some other passengers cases in the back. We had stop to change a flat tyre, which is obviously not the drivers fault and cannot be helped. However, to make up lost time he then proceeded to drive in a very dangerous manner, over taking large vehicles on windy mountain roads in heavy fog and almost causing multiple crashes by overtaking in small gaps on the highway. He said he would drop us off at our hotel in Sapa, when we arrived in town he rushed us out of the van again dumping our backpacks in the muddy street and gestured up a hilly road, saying "hotel". We arrived after a 10 minute walk up a steep road with all our luggage. The bus was very comfy, but the driver needs to be reprimanded for his rude service and dangerous driving.

Comfiest journey I’ve had in SE Asia. Don’t sit in the front right seat it’s reserved for the “elderly” (aka the drivers mate). I sat there for 45 mins (as the bus was late setting off) and then before setting off I was told to move. They do have a sign which was produced from the drivers bag... maybe put this on the seat to start? But to be fair I didn’t mind moving and I had a very comfy ride. All the staff were lovely, 2 stops for toilet breaks along the way, the staff keep you well informed of the journey and the driver drove very well. I am 5ft2 and fit well in the seat, my boyfriend is 5ft8 and was a little squished but it was nothing in comparison to the sardine vehicles we endured in Laos. I slept for 3.5 hours (oops).

Really hard matrass and aircondition did not work properly. It was burning hot until 1 A.M. when it popped back on. I slept only two hours because of it. Nevertheless a great experience :) the staff looked really busy and a bit stressed. Probably they had a lot of work

Was told to arrive at the office a half hour before (bus was supposed to leave at 6:30am) and I waited until 7:30am before the man at the office put me into a “luxury limousine” the van itself was cosy and great, but I was almost 2 hours late for my tour and had no idea if I was getting in a van that would take me to my destination or not.

The trip was ok, the bus was not what was advertised online photos. The driver took some risks with traffic, he travelled a little fast for the amount of traffic on the road. other than that it was ok.

A nice trip from Hanoi to LaoCai with the overnight train. No need to take the expensive private coach, this one was very good, with clean rooms, clean bed liner and clean shared toilets. Compared to many comments I have seen, the AC temperature was just right. Only 4 stars because the ac was a bit to noisy, and the bed a bit too small for me (1.85m). I recommend !

Extremely unorganised. Arrived at the office 45 minutes before, as instructed by the email to find the office closed. Did not open until 9 (when we were scheduled to leave). We were then put on a shuttle bus and made to get out by the side of the road, to have the guide put us back in a taxi to where we’d just come from?! We got on the correct bus 45 minutes late, were shunned to the back where one of our seats had a nail sticking out of it and the bus was so over subscribed people were having to sleep in the aisle. The toilet was broken and we made no bathroom break in 6 and a half hours. The bus stopped at 4:30am but we didn’t get off until an hour later. We were made to sit stationary unaware of what was going on but unable to move for the aisle being littered with backpacks/people. It is unreasonable to make people pay to be transported like cattle.

Considering that this railway is from 1900... and average speed is 40kph, you can sleep. One thing, sometimes the air conditioning is really too cold. We used paper to limit the air flow.

We booked the 1st class sleeper train and as far as I can see, apart from the carriage itself, everything looked like we booked a tourist cabin. We even had complimentary water, snacks and tissues. It seemed like pillow cases and sheets were fresh but not sure about the duvet though. It was a very pleasant ride and slept well. Toilets were clean enough. There was hot water and toilet paper. So overall worth 4 stars! Will do this again soon!

The cabin vip is nice and clean and the train was in time . but the air conditioning was too cold. There was too much noise in the train so we cannot sleep. There is a coffee in the morning but with milk. I can’t drink milk. It will be better to offer also black coffee. The toilet was dirty. It’s too expensive for this level of service.

The bus itself was totally fine. The blankets came in very handy, but they were really dirty. Sadly, I had some garbage from the person sitting in my seat before me (but I believe that's just bad behaviour from that person and not the direct fault of the bus company. We were told to come at 21:20, whereas the bus left at 22:30 and others arrived just a couple of minutes earlier than that... Other than that the staff was really friendly, bus driver did a good job and we arrived on time (4:30) despite the later departure. It was great to be offered the possibility to stay in the bus until 6:00. The Wi-Fi worked well. Generally I can recommend this company :) maybe next time I'll be luckier concerning the waiting and seat.

All in all, the ride was okay. The train station was easy to find and my friend and me had a cabin for ourselves. However the beds were uncomfortable and the train was shaking during the whole drive. In the middle of the ride a lady came to us and offered us a shuttle from Lao Cai to Sapa for 50 k each. She said we had to pay immediately and we trusted her because she was wearing a uniform of the train company. She only gave us a business card of a shuttle company but no tickets. When we arrived at Lao Cai, the driver from that company said we had to pay again because he couldn't find the lady. So we paid again which was not fair because we had already paid in the train!
