Barato & Bueno no será Rápido. (p.ej. trenes VIP en Tailandia)
Rápido & Bueno no será Barato.

We were a bit anxious before the trip as we read a very mixed feedback here and on Tripadvisor. The agent arrived to Bangkok/McDonalds around 12:30 and we left McDonalds with the others around 12:50. So be punctual with the arrival! The bus was old but comfortable. We could have slept all the way happily if the road had better conditions. It was really bumpy and we awoke many times. The bus had AC and we got covers to keep us warm. We paid extra 10 USD per person to have our visa taken care of at the border. At the border we waited approx 2 hours, mainly in the bus. We arrived to Siem Reap at 10:30. We didn't accept the "free" tuktuk and neither should you :) All together, its a cheap service and you get what you paid for. I can recommend.

The bus was overbooked so had to sit with three others on a sofa-like ”seat” that was facing the opposite direction, directly in front of the seats of other passengers, which was rather uncomfortable because of too little space for legs. The arrival was also badly late, but this was during Songkran / Khmer new year so nothing you can do about it. Otherwise the crew were nice, border crossing was really easy when paying them the extra few dollars to apply a visa for you.

they will make the boarder crossing look easy for those people who are willing to pay more for visa processing.. they told us that we will not pay anything since we're also from asia, but then later on asked that we "give" $5 or 200 baht so that immigration would allow us to get passport stamps..when my friend and I decided not to pay more.. we were told to go and do our thing (we had no clue where we're supposed to go, the place was full of people trying to sell or offer tuktuk), ALL those corrupt people at the dirty, and smelly "office" also extorted money from us, I think everyone one from the bus company and the corrupt officials are close friends..haha.. well I have to still give 100baht (small thing, but cringe worthy) or the guy on the window will not give me back my passport... hmmmm, the wifi was also not working when we reached Cambodia, it says they have to top up since the balance has expired and they said nothing can be done ab0ut it. I'm giving 2 stars for the bus driver who made the trip safe, should have been 1 star

Had to wait until 1.20 to be greeted which caused a little stress, but once we were on the bus it was an easy ride. They explained the visa process easily. We had evisa which meant we could do the visa process ourselves. Once you get to the boarder you get off the bus, through the Thai boarder with your departure card, then proceed to the Cambodian boarder to fill out arrival card and hand over your visa. All really easy and straight forward. The visa guys were fab. HOWEVER don't accept the free Tuk Tuk. Unfortunately we didn't know where our hotel was so took up the offer to then be negotiated with for about 15 minutes before he set off. They want to book other tours with you which is understandable as its their livlihood, however not after an over night bus. All in all a great trip

I used giant ibis for my trip to Siem Reap from Bangkok. They chairs were comfy. They gave us a light breakfast as well as a lunch on the bus. They made the transition with immigration at the boarder very simple and eased our worries about the process. We took a few breaks to use the bathroom and grab snacks along the way. They have WiFi on the bus, but half the time it didn’t work so don’t rely on that feature. I was very pleased over all with the whole experience! If you don’t mind long car rides it’s a nice break from taking planes. And you get to witness the country side of both Thailand and Cambodia.

Incredibly helpful staff with a brilliant level of English. A comfortable bus with aircon and good reclining seats. The only thing that was not clear was where I met the bus in Bangkok. Best to call Giant Ibis the day before and again in the morning of your trip for clarification! They will meet you at their office, but you have to walk around the corner to find the bus which 12goAsia did not relay during the booking process. Just as well I called!

They provided clear instructions on how to cross the Cambodian border, and provided any help needed. I really appreciated the complimentary water and snack, as well as good air conditioning and very good Wi-Fi! Overall brilliant journey. Would recommend to everyone who wants a simple and easy journey to siem reap.

Would recommend This service for Bangkok to Siem Reap. Helpful staff. OK food. AC. Wifi until we hit Cambodia. The bus has a firendly staff member that walks you through (figuratively and literally) the border crossing / Visa process. The $5 visa service fee feels totally fair. Note: they are STRICT about having pristine USD for the visa. Our guide would not even attempt to pay the visa office with our slightly wrinkled $1 bills or our $20 bill with a 2mm tear. Our guide said that the Cambodian officers are sticklers, so he made arrangements to do an IOU with the bus driver for crisp bills and then we paid him back when we stopped at an ATM 30 minutes into Cambodia. Might be worth exchanging for crisp USD in Bangkok in case the bus driver is tapped out.

The guys at the office itself were not very pleasant or helpful. The guys that met us at the border, travel guides were VERY nice! The wifi worked well. One seat was broken and they refused to let us move which was disappointing even though the bus was not full yet. Travel guide provided water and snacks which was awesome. The visa process is very simple and quick as they make it very easy.

I would have given a five-star rating were it not due to the fact that our guide was not eyeing on everybody when we passed by the Thai-Cambodian border. I was left behind with no idea where to go. There were several suspicious-looking individuals offering to help me in the Cambodian border and considering that there is no clear direction to the office for the arrivals, it took me a long time to find it. When I did, my co-passengers have taken their lunch and rested. The immigration officer even asked me to pay 100 Baht with no idea what is it for. This could not have happened if the guide kept a close eye on the passengers. It was even him who seemed angry when I finally arrived in the bus

The pick-up is a bit of a madhouse off of khoa San road. At 1am it's in full obnoxious magalouf party mode and you're the dweebs with the backpacks. Otherwise the trip is great, slept almost the entire way.

This trip was unbelievably convenient and comfortable. We arrived at Giant Ibis office near Khao San about 30 minutes before departure but the office was not open. Many other travelers were waiting outside. After about 15 minutes, a bus parked nearby and an attendant came over and told us it was our bus. We were checked in using our e-ticket on our phone. Large bags were packed below the bus and we were even given a claim ticket. The bus was clean and comfortable. We were given a snack of muffins and coffee free of charge. The bus made a stop for bathrooms and snacks after about 2 hours at a large rest stop with many stores. The attendant collected everyone’s passports (and e-visa if you had one) to fill out immigration cards for Cambodia. If you had an e-visa there was no additional charge. For a visa on arrival, the charge was $40 USD. The bus stopped at the Cambodia consulate on the Thai side for a bathroom break while the attendant processed the visas on arrival. We arrived at the border about 15 minutes later and the attendant walked everyone through exiting Thailand immigration and then led us to the immigration office to enter Cambodia. Both immigration procedures were quick and easy. Back on the bus, we were given fried rice and water for lunch free of charge. The bus made one additional stop for bathrooms about 2 hours later. We arrived in Siem Reap on time. We thought the service was excellent, the attendant was very friendly and explained every step, and the bus was comfortable (for a bus). Highly recommend
