Barato & Bueno no será Rápido. (p.ej. trenes VIP en Tailandia)
Rápido & Bueno no será Barato.

There came a man in the train who selled meals and beer. Two beers for 280 baht... be aware of that. We ordered breakfast and coffee and were charged 320 baht per person. No Thai prices. The cabines (VIP) were soooo dirty. We saw at least 10 cockroaches in each cabine (we booked three cabines, 6 persons). It looks like they never clean the cabines. Everything was sticky, hear on the floors and under your feet... the toilets were dirty.. The good things; tickets were “cheap”, the train was on time, the people who worked there were kind (smile, take your suitcases, making your bed etc).

Despite being good value for money, this trip wasn't very good, I would have happily paid a lot more for a sleeper berth and a train that didn't get us to Chumphon an hour late! We missed our ferry to Koh Tao and had to go via Surat Thani, arriving at our destination about 10 hours after we were supposed to. We didn't get any sleep on the train as there wasn't any space to stretch out, and the Aircon was blasting all night. If you can book ahead of time and get a sleeper berth, I would say it is worth it! And make sure you allow for train lateness, it seems like it is a regular occurrence! Booking through 12Go have been great though, they were very helpful and contacted me with information whenever there was some.

The train is a little dated. The first class sleeper car is the best option for having some room on the train.

Compartment was clean and spacious. I was somewhat disappointed with the food and no alcohol which would have been perfect for night cap. Air conditioning was set too low (too cold) a passenger had to sleep with additional clothing. An extra blanket would have been in order. Awoke frequently because of the cold.

As I have used this connection years ago, I knew what to expect. But yes, I think in general it would be nice to know the exact time schedule in advance - you ll have around 3 hours waiting time in the middle of the night in some outside area until the ferry leaves at 7am. The only shop available at this time of the day (over)charges for everything like water, toilet, loading your cell etc. If you are prepared though - bring food, bring water, go to the toilet in the bus or outside or then on the ferry -, no problem. My luggage was safe / not searched this time, I kind of managed to sleep on the ferry although not on the bus - due to the 40 minute break at 1am and then having to leave the bus at 3am. And I arrived on the island in time. Otherwise, I mean, it's Thailand and the transport tickets are reasonably priced. I think you can't expect everything to be spotless clean and in perfectly new condition but I think it's not that bad that you need to complain about.

Lower berth was comfortable for sleeping. I had cart 12-seat two next to the door. Cockroaches were everywhere. Big and small. On the floor and on my bed.

We showed up at the 189 address. We loading the bus and we’re taken to the Veronica residences. We had a hour and a half wait in the hotel so the driver can prepare the bus. This was a surprise to us. The seats are not that easy to sleep in. Small for us North Americans. That was the only thing. The drive was smooth, I felt safe. We had trouble with the bathroom door but that was quickly fixed by the attendants.

They train was extremally noisy like if it was about to fall apart. Don't get me wrong, we have old trains in Poland too, but this one was just wreck :) but main reason for lower rate is that our room was overlooked during bed making and I had to ask few times to do it and we had terrible Jet lag and were tired. Plus AC was very strong, no way to turn it off fully and now we both are coughing badly. 12goasia office experience was however very good!

We were happily surprised on how comfortly the train was, much better than a plane! The bed was comfortable and clean. The trip did not feel as long as it was (was 1hour slower than advertised). Only downside was the toilets (one squat, and one western style) both a shaft to under train, quite smelly and a bumpy ride! Could definitely be updated.

In total, a really nice and easy trip. I was expecting it to be way too cold in the bus, as everybody here complains about the AC in every bus trip, but this was just perfect. I was in shorts and was really ok just with the blanket on me. Only bad side : the stop for the free meal. It’s totally unclear where you’re suppose to eat for free in that giant food court/market. Also unclear for how long we stay there. And most important of all : the food was really really not good (and I’m trying to stay polite here..). But at the end, bus was confortable and waiting in between stops and for the ferry was alright. I would recommend for that price.

Train is the same as 15 year ago.. but now little bit more dirt and cockroach everywhere. When you close your curtain ik become verry hot but when you open them it's to cold from the airc. Curtains are not blinding so the light what stays on keep me out of my sleep. The food we ordered was not warm, also the breakfast egg was cold. Of course it's a good price but I hope they ask a opnion to better themselves and hope I did my part to point out some points.

12go - booking and receiving tickets easy and pain-free. Staff very friendly and helpful and gave us each a free bottle of water! Overnight train Bangkok to Suratthani - clean, cool, comfortable. Staff effecient and friendly. Food, though not the cheapest turned out to be good value as includes tasty main meal with rice, egg, spring rolls, pineapple slices and juice drink. Also came with a bowl of soup but we didn't eat this as filled up by the rest! Overall great experience and would highly recommend.

Hello, I LOST / FORGOT MY IPAD IN THE BUS (seat A7). The ipad was in the little net in front of my sitting chair. Half way through the trip is sliped out of the net and i noticed it was on the floor so I picked it up and put it back in the net which must of been torn with a hole inside. When we arrived at Suwanatee station (not the terminal) we were an hour earlier then expected, we had to rush out of the bus as we had just woken up, unaware of our earlier arrival. We had to hurry to get out of the bus and i forgot my ipad. I checked before leaving the seat net and also the floor with the minimal light available and saddly didn’t see anything on the floor. It must have fallen out again and slipped across the bus floor whilst driving. PLEASE IF YOU FIND MY IPAD CAN YOU CONTACT ME AS I HAVE IMPORTANT BUISNESS DOCUMENTS ON IT. MY CONTACT: Kim SAVOYE savoye.kim@gmail.com +33(0)618454503 Address back home: 258 Impasse des Chapelles, 74450, Saint Jean de Sixt, FRANCE. I would highly appreciate it of you could contact them on my behalf to see if anyone found it or brought it to the lost and found. I have tried but I do not speak Thai. Kind regards and thank you in advance.

It would have been much better if they had turned the lights out, hard to sleep with strip lighting above your head. Otherwise, very clean, I felt safe. I just didn’t get much rest. The lower berth is much bigger and has a window so gets cool. Upper is very hot, sticky and bright
