Krabi, Koh Phi Phi, Railey Beach y Phuket.

Barato & Bueno no será Rápido. (p.ej. trenes VIP en Tailandia)
Rápido & Bueno no será Barato.

Viaje tranquila, aunque larga.

The bus was ok. People on the trip were awesome and we actually arrived earlier than expected. The toilet is what you would expect in a moving vehicle (I.e. the smell isn’t fresh roses). The food stop only served chicken and over priced snacks and I’m veggie so found it difficult to eat. Reaching Krabi we were also told to pay 100 baht to get to our hotel. The man was very admandant and wouldn’t really take no for an answer which kind of got on our nerves.

Overnight bus from Bangkok to Koh Lanta, didnt manage to get any sleep as we kept stopping randomly on the side of the road, not sure why as it seemed only the driver and helper were getting off and on again.. no snacks or water provided.. made to pay extra when we arrived at koh lanta ferry to be driven into town once on the other side.. which it seemed was already included in the ticket price as we specified a drop off point.

Overall, a good trip. You get some bread, soy milk and water at the start. I think we made one stop around midnight but there’s is a bathroom on the bus. The seats are relatively comfortable (I’ve been on worse and been on better), air con worked well and lots of leg room. Bus left and arrived in Krabi on time.

Make sure you leave enough time to get to southern bus terminal - it took us an hour in Bangkok traffic from near Khao San and we were late. When we arrived (in a rush) it was hard to find how to get to the third floor and then find your way through a shopping centre to the ticket offices for check in which are all only marked in Thai. We were glad we had phoned from taxi to say we would be late as although they had told us the bus couldn’t wait, it did and the driver was at the ticket booth when we finally found it. He then led us downstairs to the bus. We were very relieved and grateful for this. The bus itself was not the VIP24 we were expecting after taking the same class from Chiang Mai (best bus EVER) but it was ok. Seats broken but mostly comfortable. Take food as the food in the restaurant we stopped in was disgusting (and we usually eat pretty much anything). Even the Thai people on our table left it. To be fair the food may change daily/weekly but i’d take food just in case. Mostly friendly staff and good drivers. Always felt safe even though we were driving through a bad storm. Would recommend but I think with this company if you pay for just normal VIP you’d get the same bus. We were just grateful to be on the bus after arriving late so were happy with what we got!

We travelled from Bangkok to Krabi on an overnight Lignite VIP24 bus. We left on time and were given various drinks (soy, cola, water). Around 10pm we stopped at a roadside cafe near Hua Hin for a free meal of Thai food. It was pretty rushed but adequate. After that it was a solid drive, stopping at various places and sometimes back tracking. I thought this meant we were behind schedule but we actually arrived at Krabi Bus Terminal 40 minutes early. About an hour before arrival we were offered hot coffee, a pastry, and a wet wipe. The bus was clean and tidy but old. There are TVs in the back of the seats but the movies are Thai only. I found the seat to be comfortable enough and I got a decent amount of sleep for an overnight bus. There is an attendant for the whole journey who brings you food etc and announces the stops, but she didn't speak any English. The toilet was clean enough and I didn't really notice a smell. Overall a pretty good experience.

We were told to be at jolly travel at least an hour before departure to get checked-in, but waited for 1,5 hours in an office which seemed closed and had no people around. Suddenly someone told us to hurry up and we were running across town with all of our bags to get to the bus. The bus in itself was allright and it was a definite plus that it was possible to charge your phone. But the bus stopped several times without giving any kind of message to the passengers. Suddenly at 5:30 everyone was told to get off the bus after having been pulled over for 40+ minutes, and a guy told us that the bus to Krabi would arrive in 1,5 hours. So we waited. But when the hours had gone by, we were pulled into an Office and scammed to pay 500 baht extra to be driven to the pier - even though it said it was included in the ticket.

Awful journey that took 20.5 hours instead of 16.5 like advertised. You spend a long time sitting and going nowhere while they call in people one by one into an office and try to scam them by selling them a shuttle service you don’t need (since dropoff on Koh Lanta is included in your ticket), and lying about how expensive taxis are on Koh Lanta if you don’t pay them. You end up sitting in various cramped vans for hours after the bus drops you off. You end up waiting for hours in various places. I found out I paid an extra 245 baht for this trip by using this 12go website instead of just booking directly, but I don’t recommend anyone uses this company at all. Instead of driving to Krabi, this drives to the other side of Thailand FIRST before taking you to Krabi. You can find a faster, more direct route.

I knew that it wasn't going to be dreamy because it was a long ride (about 12 hrs), but I was positively surprised by getting free food at a stop, and getting a mini lunch bag at the beginning of the trip. The only thing that was terrible was the smell of the toilet, but even on the classiest busses, that's always a problem.

Timetable ok. We arrived in time. Bus uncomfortable. No food coupon and no water. No information about stops. The bus toilet was in unacceptable conditions, too dirty. And the toilet at the stops were not free. We were dead on time at the Pick up point but we had to make some call to be sure that somebody will come to pick us up. The company man came after 45 minutes. Never more with paradive travel.

Had a small snack and juice provided which was good. Not quite enough leg room, the aircon was too strong, I needed more than one blanket to compensate and they played some very loud music over the speakers for parts of the journey that was not at all my taste - I seriously resented being forced to listen to it!! Staff were good, would probably take ear plugs next time.
