Durante el día, un servicio exprés ofrece la mejor relación calidad-precio, ya que hace menos paradas que un autobús de clase normal o estándar y viaja más rápido. Para algunas rutas es crucial elegir la clase correcta. Por ejemplo, un autobús de clase ordinaria o segunda clase puede tomar 6 horas para cubrir la misma distancia que recorre un autobús de primera clase o exprés en dos horas.

- Los billetes de autobús son muy económicos. Es cierto que hay opciones que son costosas, como la primera clase o la VIP, pero si se tiene un presupuesto limitado, el autobús es el primer medio de transporte a considerar.
- Igualmente, hay diferentes clases de servicio que se adaptan a cualquier presupuesto. Si lo que buscas es un mayor nivel de confort, los autobuses también lo ofrecen.
Desventajas de los Viajes en Autobús
- Las terminales de autobuses interurbanos pueden estar situadas en las afueras de la ciudad. Esto significa que tendrás que calcular tiempo y dinero extra para el traslado. Llegar a tu destino final desde la terminal de autobuses puede costarte más de lo que esperas porque, a veces, sólo un número limitado de empresas de transporte está autorizado a prestar servicio en la ruta, y puede que los precios estén inflados.
- Durante los fines de semana más concurridos o en temporada alta, los autobuses que prestan servicio a algunos destinos turísticos podrían viajar fuera de los horarios y requerir una reserva anticipada.

Volvo bus was cancelled and was informed at the bus station that we would need to take the regular bus. It was much bumpier and more uncomfortable; there's no baggage area on the regular bus. We don't fault 12Go for this, and the bus company refunded the difference between the Volvo ticket price and the regular bus price. However, we would not have taken a bus operating at night if we knew it was going to be a regular bus; only chose the later time so we could take the Volvo bus. It's a rough ride between Shimla and Dharamshala, lasting 8 hours or so.

As tourists from Australia we are used to a good level of comfort, which this bus fortunately met. Spacious, comfortable, good service, on time & extra features like phone charging made the long journey easy.

Bus was on time and we reached before time. The seats are comfortable. Clean bus. Just that the road are bumpy at some places feel the shock. On overall its a good option to travel compared to taxi. For foreigners without an Indian phone number you can book with your actual number and email. Just print the confirmation and go directly to kashmeer gate station and ask the ticket controller. Your seat will already be reserved.

The bus was comfortable and of good quality. The bad thing is these Volvo buses are not taken at Manali's main bus station. You have to go to a bus stop that is outside the city, not very far but it's not conditioned and it is full of mud.

We have traveled from Delhi to Shimla via HRTC Volvo AC bus in August 2018. Both the driver and attendant were polite, pleasant, helpful and very professional. We found the safety of the driving to be of a high standard especially given the condition of some roads between Chandigarh and Shimla. The bus arrived only 1 hour later than the estimated time of arrival, but during the late part of the journey it was raining and the roads had many diversions. Thank you for a pleasant journey HRTC.
12GO provided an easy way to book this journey outside of India. Payment options were easy to use and ticketing very quick to receive. Highly recommended.
