At 12Go our operators offer three types of service:

Cheap, Fast, Good - but you can usually pick only two of them!
Cheap & Fast won’t be Good. (e.g. buses from/to Khao San Road, local buses or 3rd class trains)
Cheap & Good won’t be Fast. (e.g. VIP trains in Thailand)
Fast & Good won’t be Cheap. (e.g. private limousine services, or VIP24 buses vs Express buses)

Make your choice! Please remember that while we are closely monitoring the services, we are still an agency marketplace. That means we focus on ticketing services and route availability & coverage rather than on the factual seat reclining angle you will get on the bus today.

Bus was comfy but crowded . The ferry boat was very good but not many seats left and some people put bags on seats then sat upstairs! It would be nice if the restaurant could serve more healthy snacks as the bus journey was very long withou a stop. The staff were quite friendly.

Reception staff were very helpful and the bus left on time, however the boat ride was very bumpy, most of the passengers had sea sickness but the staff on the boat took care of us and gave us plastic bags and menthol oil to ease the sea sick.

Cramped bus but I could handle that. However, the ferry was incredibly overbooked, so when the storm started, those of us outside with our luggage being soaked to the bone weren't allowed inside.

Bus travel is good, comfortable bus with air cond and a blanket for all passangers. Waiting for ferry was some tired, but we could some asleep here. The ferry was good with 3 floor and so interesring views on the top. But! Insted finish on Maenam Pralan pier on Samui we arrived at Nathon pier. Destination pier was at booking approval and printed on our tickets. Nobody from Lompeayah stuff cann't told us why it happens. So we have to lose 300 bath and two hours for speaking with stuff, waiting minibus and going to Maenam. May be it was annoying mistake, but we was very dissapointed.

I travelled with 2 friends from BKK to Koh Samui on a night bus. The first part of the travel was pleasant, the staff was also very nice because our bus was completly full and we were sleeping in the last seats, so they moved us in another bus in order to have more comfortable seats to sleep in. There were other people travelling with us but with different destinations (Koh Samui, Koh Pangan...) so we were not sure when and where to stop. We had some problems when they woke us up at 4.30 am once arrived at the pier: we were not sure if it was the last stop but nobody was speaking english for asking. Basically everybody got off the bus in the same pier (Chumphon) and took the same ferry, which made stops in each island (very tiring and long travel for us). When I booked the trip, the bus was supposed to stop at Donsak Pier (Surat Thani), very close to Koh Samui; that means more hours of bus (and sleeping) and less hours of ferry. It's not a problem if the route changes, I can understand, but at least I'd have liked to be informed.

Very well organized! However the air con in the bus was very noisy and the toilet not acceptable! No stops during the journey. We arrived too late but I think the reason was the weather and not under control of the operator!

Check in was chaotic and lacked information regarding our bags. We checked in first and were told to walk to a waiting area. Nobody communicated our baggage process. We arrived with out bags. The next transport we received our bags. A Detailed list should be provided in print of the step by step check in process and what is to follow.

I thought I booked a train ticket for the night train instead of a bus ticket. They also told me by email I have a train ticket... But this was not the case. I am too tall to sit in a bus for 8/9 hours. I asked the crew for another place because of my length but they told me that it was fully booked. Couldn't sleep at all. And only 1 stop for all those hours in a bus. Not healthy. When we arrived at the pier around 5 o 'clock in the morning we had to wait for 2,5 hours for our boat, this is too long. So my conclusion: the trip is very tiring!

The seat in the bus was uncomfortable, the cushion needs replacing. The bus arrived too early (04:35) at the jetty for the ferry which didn't depart until just after 07:30, some 3 hr wait. Upon arrival at the jetty, the shops were still closed. No one to explain what the process would be. I won't use this service again ????

It was on time. A fairly old bus but ok way to budget travel would have been good to be told when we would stop as to gauge if you need the toilet on the bus which is not for the faint hearted! Bear in mind it is a very long trip I got to my hotel in koh samui in 19 hours after departure. But overall if on a budget I would recommend it.

I paid a lot of money to have fast and good travel, but: 1. It was uncomfotable during bus travel. 2. When we had some brake neat to some market, driver havent say a word how many minutes do we have, so people mostly run to toilet and go back. 3. Worst sea travel I ever had. In the beggining I was sitting at the top flor but I was afraid that I can fell into the sea so I had to go to 2nd level. A lot of people had sea sick and emergency had to take one of the lady to the hospital after this "trip". Im not giving one because it was exactly on the schedule. I realy dont reccomend this company.

We had to make alternative travel plans. We will make a complaint to the credit card company and see if they refund our money.

The trip was pretty much on time. The seats on the bus was quite comfy; can't say the same about the catamaran though. It maybe fast, but it sure ain't comfortable; especially when your destination is the last of all stops which, in total, took almost 3 hours. Oh yeah, and they didn't stop for food; they just gave us a cookie and some 200ml water.

Booking and location were convenient and things were well organized. However, the bus did not stop once for you to get food, and the only food you get from them is a cookie and small amount of water. When we got to the ferry dock they rushed us on to the boat and again no time to get food. There are snacks and drinks (no beer) for purchase on the boat, but no real meals for a 13-hour day. There was at least a bathroom on the bus.

Trip went well. The driver drove extremely safe :) I would suggest that your representatives at the bus pick up hold sign boards with the different colour groups (red, green, white, etc) so that people who are waiting know which one to take. It can be extremely confusing if some shouts out green and it sounds like red. The bus toilets did not have toilet paper and this was a problem for my wife. Also the bus stop at 2am was at a place more suited for truck stops. Maybe in future use a gas station which has most of th facilities that tourist are familiar with. Also on the ferry the representatives or cabin crew need to inform the passengers which port they are entering. Best woud be to digitally display the arriving ports in english then all the passengers are informed.

The Ferry ride was awful. I get motion sickness sometimes, but this was on another level. My friend and I were so incredibly nauseous and puked several times. And the ferry stopped at every island before we arrived at ours. I was not aware of that. 4 hours of trying not to puke. Worst travel experience by far.

We checked in around 7:20 for the 9pm bus and they got us on board the bus that left Bangkok around 8. The bus ride was fine. Not the top quality bus, but it was clean enough and we were given blankets to survive the freezing chill of aircon inside the bus. Make sure you have something to wear or you will catch a cold. It's like riding a Bankok metro for 6 hours. There was enough room for my feet and I was able to sleep (185 cm tall). At Chumphon we boarded the first ferry (not the one at 7:30) that left the pier 15min after we arrived and swapped ferry at Koh Tao to go to Koh Samui. Both rides were fine. At Koh Samui we ended up at Na Thon pier instead of Mae Nam but the nice staff arranged us a minivan to drive us to the correct location with some people that were going to the airport. Very pleasant and friendly driver. Everyone has very limited knowledge of English but they try to help as much as they can. Just be patient and try to explain what you need. Talking slowly helps! From my experience the only confusing thing are the stickers they use to determine who goes where. It's confusing for everybody. They get off easily and if sleepy or tired you can end up "god knows where".

Reaching Khao San Rd isnt a problem, the waiting area is on an island on the middle of the road and no shade, not sure where yo hide when it's raining. Unusual but it works when weather is good. The bus I took left at 9PM, stopover at 3AM then reach Chumphon at 530AM. Ferry leaves at 730AM. Ferry passengers are not only those from the bus I took, many other passengers from different buses joins in after. I was headed to koh samui, there will be 4 stops before reaching around 1130AM. Bus ride is good, can do mre improvements on toilet and aircon. Ferry ride was smooth.

Did not take this trip and tried to get a refund on the day of departure. Went to the office directly and also sent an email to Lomprayah and 12go staff, but both parties were not helpful (Lomprayah) and non responsive (12go). Highly recommend you take the train-combination from Railroad if possible. Easy to coordinate and half the price.
12Go response:

Hi Andre. I can't see support ticket in the system from you regarding cancellations, but I see that the return trip was refunded. Sorry for the trouble, but Lomprayah has certain cancellation rules (cancellation advance periods etc) that Railways will have to respect too if you buy from them (and we have to do as well). Which email did you use to send us an email? Thank you for using 12go service & sorry it did not meet your expectations.

We enjoyed our trip, although it took whole day to reach our destination, we were prepared for it. However the instructions at the bus station and ferry station needs to jacked up. If we didn't ask where to go or what next, we could have been left stranded. There are no clear instructions given or directions for travellers to follow.
12Go response:

Hello Graeme, thank you for your comment. The bus from Lomprayah brings all passengers to the Lomprayah ferry. We will contact the operator and ask them to provide clearer instructions in the future. Glad to hear that you enjoyed the trip.
