  • The bus Kep - Phnom Penh has a stop in Kampot (+45 minutes later) for passengers to get in.

    General Information

  • Free ride on adult lap for infants under 2 years of age. If your child is older than 2 years the full price applies.
  • Luggage limit for one passenger is one or two bags having a total weight of less than 20kg to be put in the bus storage compartment and one carry on less than 7kg. Operators are not super strict about this policy but please use common sense and courtesy.

  • Please come at least 30 minutes before departure to the boarding point.

    Cambodia VISA information

Giant Ibis charges a 5 USD fee for batch visa processing at the border. If you do not have a visa you need to pay 35 + 5 = 40 USD for a tourist visa or 40 + 5 = 45 USD for a business visa. If you already have a valid visa in your passport there is no visa fee. The facilitated batch processing guarantees a smooth border crossing. Taking Giant Ibis on a cross-border trip you do not have the option to go yourself through immigration, as it would disrupt the VIP process.

The border stations are Aranyaprathet on the Thai side and Poi Phet in Cambodia.

Vietnam VISA information

Vietnam does not offer a Visa on Arrival (VOA) for land border crossings. You must have already arranged for a Vietnamese entry visa should you require one or you will not be allowed to board the bus.

The border crossings are Bavet on the Cambodian side and Moc Bai on the Vietnamese side.

Cancelation policy: Kep via Kampot - Phnom Penh

No refunds.

At 12Go our operators offer three types of service:

Cheap, Fast, Good - but you can usually pick only two of them!
Cheap & Fast won’t be Good. (e.g. buses from/to Khao San Road, local buses or 3rd class trains)
Cheap & Good won’t be Fast. (e.g. VIP trains in Thailand)
Fast & Good won’t be Cheap. (e.g. private limousine services, or VIP24 buses vs Express buses)

Make your choice! Please remember that while we are closely monitoring the services, we are still an agency marketplace. That means we focus on ticketing services and route availability & coverage rather than on the factual seat reclining angle you will get on the bus today.

Great service. Driver be careful of potholes in the future. Us sitting at the back of the bus nearly hit our heads on the ceiling. Cambodia seriously needs to do something about the road from Kep to Phnom Penh

Second trip with Giant Ibis. 1st time, ac not working. 2nd time - we had to stop for more than 30minutes so they could fix something with the door. Poor maintenance and upkeep of their busses ... their slogan says reliable... not so much . Pitty, cause i chose Giant Ibis based on good reviews. Next time I'll try another company
