Tanja WIt was alright! Read all the negative comments, so I have to say I was a bit worried. Yes, the boat was delayed about 45-50 minutes and we arrived 30 minutes later than expected, but that was the worst actually. The check-in was smooth, staff was friendly, and the boat trip was ok.

Bhanupriya GCOMFORTABLE RIDE!! .. There definitely was a delay to start off (which is usually the case with almost every boat you take for Gili islands) . But unexpectedly, the boat ride was good and comfortable. Boat has Ac so it was a good temperature inside. People allowed to go on the top to enjoy the view. Overall apart from the ever long wait and boarding experience at the Padang Bai port , a good experience with this ride

Daniel AWe had a good experience. We checked in and our luggage was labeled for Gili Air. Beware of the fact that you have to pay 10k pp port taxes. Then we could wait at the restaurant and had a lunch. Nothing special, busy, but fine.
Around the departure time (13.30) we started walking to the pier. The boat had comfortable seats, the AC didn’t work, so it was quite warm. But free water was available. Some windows could be opened, some not because of the spray. We departed 25 minutes late (13.55), but still arrived around 16.00 at Gili Air. The staff was friendly and the trip was quite fast. If we’ll go again we’ll go with Wahana Virenda.

Sonja We left the scooter for 2 days in their parking for a small fee. They are truly professional, and on our way to Gili Trawangan, we arrived 30 minutes earlier than expected. The ride was comfortable with the air conditioning on throughout the journey. All in all, we received excellent service from Whana Virendra.

Ines TThe trip went well, boat was comfortable and air conditioned. I recommend taking a seasick pill if you’re quite sensitive. Only thing is we left the harbour of Padangbai 45 min late but arrived only 15 min late so overall very good.

A DIt doesn’t say it anywhere, but FYI you have to pay a 10k IDR fee at most ports you visit here (excluding Sanur so far). I didn’t know until it was time to board so I gave some guy with a Fanny pack of tickets my 10k and he gave me a port ticket. Otherwise you need to go to a window inside the “station.” Additionally men will try to help you with your bags to the ferry, I declined the help, but I’m thinking they were doing so for a tip.
The boat was late, but that is consistent with every review I’ve read so it didn’t bother me, I brought a good book. There were also local “vendors” selling beers, sodas, snacks, cigarettes, etc. Once they call your boat name you then go wait in a line on the dock until the boat arrives and all of the current passengers disembark, get their luggage, and then it is your turn to board. VERY UNORGANIZED - so beware. I was happy to be one of the last to board.
As we were on our way to the Gili Islands we went through some big waves, one of the boat hatches/doors started to slam open and shut and began to leak water from the “seal” (or lack there of) the door. The poor girl next to it was getting wet so I tied a simple bowline knot to hold it down. The door still continued to leak but we all mostly stayed dry the rest of the ride. The A/C also did not work on this boat (Semaya One). Again, everything was mostly already listed in previous reviews so I knew what to expect hence my average review/3 stars.
