At 12Go our operators offer three types of service:

Cheap, Fast, Good - but you can usually pick only two of them!
Cheap & Fast won’t be Good. (e.g. buses from/to Khao San Road, local buses or 3rd class trains)
Cheap & Good won’t be Fast. (e.g. VIP trains in Thailand)
Fast & Good won’t be Cheap. (e.g. private limousine services, or VIP24 buses vs Express buses)

Make your choice! Please remember that while we are closely monitoring the services, we are still an agency marketplace. That means we focus on ticketing services and route availability & coverage rather than on the factual seat reclining angle you will get on the bus today.

VIP 31. The bus itself is absolutely fantastic, incredibly comfortable though it definitely needs a USB port to charge devices. However, the stewardess was a complete disaster from the very beginning she not only didn't understand English but was both rude and confusing against our attempts to communicate. Later, when we arrived at the station she had supposedly told us, she didn't come to tell us we needed to get off and when we realized it on ourselves and tried, it was already past the 10 minutes and she wouldn't allow us to leave. Therefore, we traveled another 40 minutes and payed 500 bahts in a taxi to arrive to our destination. It is a shame such a fantastic service hires these type of people. Very strange to find this type of staff in Thailand.

Train number 84. Not a new train, but sturdy. We traveled first-class sleeper - well worth the small extra money. The cabin was clean and the bedding was clean and comfortable. I admit it, I'm a Complete Rail Fan, so I loved every minute. Even when the train was forty minutes late and we had to cross a rail track to get to our platform, just minutes before the arrival of a train in the opposite direction. The crew knew exactly what was happening and how to give direction with minimal English. Lots of help with our heavy luggage (for ten weeks travel). I was in heaven to the sound of the rails and the gentle rocking. Better rails than we usually see from Amtrack! Better speed too. Morning came and we were crossing many many many rice paddies. I saw more egrets, osprey, heron, than I have in the rest of my life put together (except maybe in The Afula, Israel). The coffee lady came by at exactly the right moment. We mostly converted the bunks to day use. The conductor was astonished that we had done it ourselves -- Those Americans. Arrival to Hua Lamphong was slow, dragging through some ugly slums of Bangkok. The grand station is a bit down-in-the-heel, but very active. Thais outnumber the tourists by a lot. As always for Thai transportation, everything went very smoothly, with great help from service people when we were confronted with a tricky problem. They went well out of their way to make our trip work.

Train was nearly 2 and a half hours late into Bangkok and it’s really bright when you’re trying to sleep - comfy beds though (if you’re not taller than your average Thai) and we were lucky to be near some plug points. Bathrooms were clean and the train quiet - all good, just bring an eye mask and don’t schedule your travel without a bit of wiggle room!

The first class cabines are great. Beds are good and room is clean; lots of storage areas. It is a comfortable way of travelling during the night. The room can be closed from the inside. Toilets, including toilet papier, are available and okay. Staff will wake you up in de morning by knocking on the door and will let you know your stop. We booked for three persons and we had two cabinets that could be combined by opening a door in de middle. Our expected arrival time was 6:37 uur and we really arrived at 7:15 hours (very good for a more than 11 hours train trip). Only negative: Air Conditing is extremely cold (especially when you are in the upper bearth). Take ware cloths incl socks!

Easy booking (12goasia), boat - bus combo from Koh Samui right to the Surat thani train station . The moment I pulled out my voucher a nice lady spotted us amd took across the street to exchange it for our tickets. We had a good meal and a beer at a cheap price right at her restaurant. The men at the station were quick to help us getting to the right spot for boarding our car. It was all very simple! The train cabin was cleaning..the bed was the softest we had in Thailand! Lol!! The sink, mirror, soaps and bottled water was nice talking to have. Downside was the bathroom was nasty! All in all our first night train was a good experience and would recommend it!

Everything fine. Not too difficult to understand where to go. As long as you get off at the final station, that's not a problem either. Sleeping compartments are more comfortable than in Europe or Japan. Space for big luggage could be a problem; unless there are free seats, you might have to sleep with your luggage in your bed, but the beds are wide, so I had well enough space next to my big bag.

Dear Bangkok Busline, I am writing to you to inform you of our recent journey with you from Surat Thani to Bangkok (Booking ID 1180587223). It had been estimated that the bus would arrive at Sombat Tour Viphavadee 13 at 06:25. My boyfriend and I were abruptly woken up at 05:15 telling us we were to get off. Realising we were at least an hour earlier than what we originally thought, I checked the maps. We were not at Sombat Tour Viphavadee but at the Southern Bus Terminal, 18km away. We had booked a taxi to pick us up at Sombat Tour Viphavadee at 06:45 which we had already paid for. The staff on the bus were not very helpful in explaining why we had to get off, but just kept insisting we left the bus and join our bags that had been dumped on the floor. From the Southern Bus terminal we had to pay for a taxi to our hostel which cost more than the previously booked taxi due to the distance being greater. When booking the bus to Bangkok there were many options available to us, most of which were cheaper than what we paid. However, one of the only reasons we decided to book with Bangkok Busline was due to the later arrival time compared to other companies. Due to arriving early, we were forced to wait outside our hostel for well over an hour and a half to wait for it to open. We are very disappointed with our experience, which caused us a great deal of stress, inconvenience and expenditure. We had enjoyed the bus journey up until the arrival and we both commented how good the service was. Our opinion changed when we arrived. We had both paid for a service which we believe was not fully delivered. This was our first trip to Bangkok, which we both were greatly looking forward to, however it has now not started in the best way. I hope this message finds you well and you can make it clear to customers in the future that the end destination is not what is on the ticket. Regards, Zara Wingate

Great service by 12Go Asia, obtaining the tickets the same day and being flexible with sending them to us. The train (Surat Thani to Bangkok day service) was ok. Old train but fairly comfortable, although icy cold. Left on time. Only downside was that all the food offered to us had meat in it...not great for vegetarian/vegans. The stewardess even laughed at me when I asked, although I wasn't insulted as I think she genuinely found my question funny. Wouldn't give me an extra pot of rice though. I think I'm nitpicking now. Make sure to take some food with you!

Firstly the service from 12goAsia was excellent. Re the train journey, this was great, efficient and friendly. So why 3*? It was the additional occupants of the reserved sleeper (mainly lower bunks) in the form of cockroaches (sadly quite a few). Couple of pointers, if collecting your tickets from Plantif agent opposite Surat Thani train station, don’t eat there - probably the worst pad Thai experienced in Thailand, also food on the train is expensive relative to what you receive- stock up at 7/11 before you depart.

We had a bad experience with Phantip Office where we had to pick up the tickets. The tickets where "on the way" and would be there in just 10 minutes. We had to sit there and got a menu to order. We kept asking for the tickets but it was just 10 minutes. After more then one and a half our, after we paid for the food, the tickets where suddenly there. It wouldn't have been so bad if the food was any good but the restaurant clearly runs on the people that "have to eat there". The train second class was fine. The beds where good and clean and enough privacy. Airco was nice and not to cold. We had a good trip to Bangkok.
