Very good service however seat 56 laid back all the time and could not be made to sit up. Fellow passengers were great and staff were very good.

We booked through 12go and that part was easy and convenient. It is much more expensive than buying while in country but worth it if you have to be on a certain schedule and don't want to worry about there being no tickets left. The reason I gave it three stars is because we actually didn't end up using the service and the cancellation policy was very unforgiving. Once in country, we found out there was a direct bus to our destination that was cheaper than all the transfers we would of had to take to get to the train! That is not 12go fault that we made a change, however we knew several days in advance and you would think for the price you might get some sort of refund. I would recommend taking the bus for this route instead, especially if going from sukhothai to Chiang Mai. You might be able to book through 12go and I guarantee it will be cheaper and more comfortable! (Just don't drink lots of water before getting on the bus!)

The train was disappointingly 1.5 hours late. However, very helpful staff with getting bags on; reserved seats easily available; good leg room. Meal provided but no vegetarian option offered. Air conditioning made the train too cold

Easy access to collect the tickets and find the platform. The staff were helpful and efficient on the train. We also had free food and water which was unexpected. Fantastic views throughout the journey. Well worth taking this train!

The bus was fine. The station OK. The problem is with 12go, I was taken a train pass and they don't get it so we change for bus. They can help to book right so we now know that it was a very better way to do the travel.

My ticket was available at the train station as promised. The train itself was an old stock train and not like the over night one unfortunately but the seats were comfortable and the staff were effective. The toilet was showing signs of being old.

Nice trip, punctual and safe. Water and biscuits and a blanket for the travel. Just be careful: Bus terminal 2 and bus terminal 1 are quite far one from other, so if you arrive from somewhere, allow you 15-20 minutes to go with a taxi (just 100 Baht moreless).

train #7 2nd Class AC seats only, Thai Railways, Feb 26, 2019
I followed the directions given and there is no package room and there is little English spoken in Phitsanulok. I was running all over the place to try to find my ticket. I used your service to avoid a hassle, and it was very nerve wracking. I paid extra for the service and could have just as easily bought the ticket at the window. Speaking of Windows, I got an aisle seat, when I asked for a window seat. The only positive is I could use a credit card, instead of cash.

Very nice driver. Didn’t speak much English but my wife is Thai so it was fine. We made it from Phitsanoluk to Chiang Mai in 6 hrs with 2 stops. Not bad. Honestly we did find out from other locals that we could hired someone ourselves to do it for half the price but we weren’t too sure about that before we booked. Still it was fine and we were very happy with the service provided.

Took the 2nd class sleeper train (red beds). The train was pretty clean. AC made it VERY cold and uncomfortable. I actually got sick after because it was so freezing and the blanket was the thickness of a towel. Beds are as hard as anywhere in Thailand (very hard). The lights never went out, so bring an eye mask. Light shines in your face on the upper bank. Coffee was awful and to our surprise 60 baht (lady made it seem complimentary).
