At 12Go our operators offer three types of service:

Cheap, Fast, Good - but you can usually pick only two of them!
Cheap & Fast won’t be Good. (e.g. buses from/to Khao San Road, local buses or 3rd class trains)
Cheap & Good won’t be Fast. (e.g. VIP trains in Thailand)
Fast & Good won’t be Cheap. (e.g. private limousine services, or VIP24 buses vs Express buses)

Make your choice! Please remember that while we are closely monitoring the services, we are still an agency marketplace. That means we focus on ticketing services and route availability & coverage rather than on the factual seat reclining angle you will get on the bus today.

The seats were fantastic. Enough space and possibility to lay down a bit. I had to go with a grab from Bayan Lapas to Komtar to departure. After waiting more then 30 minutes we had to go to Nibung bus station (a small bus brought us there) as the bus was leaving from there, which could have saved me half of my Grab costs as I could go to that bus station straight away myself. Instead of leaving 22.45 hrs, We departured at 23.45, one hour delay! The people in the New Asia office seems like they are quit bored in the job they are doing, no enthusiasm at all and they smoke while helping clients. I come from Europe but getting 'service' in Malaysia or at least a happy 'hello, how are you' is not really happening often. I asked the bus driver if the trip to Malacca had a transfer on the way, just to be sure I could stay in the same bus the whole trip, they said 'no'.. After KL there was a transfer, but I was sleeping so I almost missed the right bus.

bus Express, Transnasional
When I went to the transnasional counter to exchange the 12go voucher for the ticket, they charged me 1 ringgit extra for seat confirmation or something. It's not a big amount but I was surprised because I was not informed at any time before this that there will be extra charges for getting the ticket. This never happened during any other trips that I had taken in the past. Aside from this, the trip was more or less okay. It started about 40 minutes late, then there was an unexpected transfer to another bus in the middle of the road etc; but such things are expected in bus trips through Asia, no major issues during the trip. Others wanting to book the tickets should just note that the the price paid at 12go is not the final price, they might need to pay some more at the ticket counter.

Little to no communication, we waited for the bus for about 20 minutes and nobody told us, it was already there. Dirty, reserved seat was broken, so there you couldn’t really put your feet down, stuff didn’t care about it, but lernen us dir on other seats that were free, after we alles for it
