The nice one
Bus Express, Sri Maju Group, Mar 11, 2020
The bus was comfortable and clean enough, not brand new though. It was more or less on time. A driver was nice as a lady at a counter in Sungai Nibong terminal. Booking via 12Go Asia worked well again.

Everything clear. Elevator to offices. Handy when you have heavy luggage

Poor communication led to confusion! We did not know that we had to take a local express bus to the bus depot pretty far away from New Asian Travel. We were put in the bus in a hurry! We wish we were given step by step instructions beforehand. The bus was nice and had few passengers that day. However the bus driver was talking loudly to his friend the whole journey This discourages us from taking the bus again!

Over all good bus ride. Very confusing at check in even with pre-paid ticket. Told by driver not correct bus but, shop own said yes. Worked out. Had to transfer buses half way through trip was not told. Arrived safely & air conditioning was great!
Bus Express, Sri Maju Group, Feb 2, 2020
Recommend to provide elevator or escalator between ticket station and bus station

The journey from Penang to Ipoh was smooth and quite quick. But it took an hour to get out of Penang with a stop to get the bus washed - never seen or heard that before - and another stop at Butterworth. Chairs were broken and in reclined position. The seat belts were either broken or missing.
Bus Express, Sri Maju Group, Dec 5, 2019
The staff at the counter is kind and informative. Bus departed ontime and driver drove carefully. I had a satisfaction experience with Sri Maju Group. Thanks

The ride was OK. Everything else was unorganized. At komtar a taxi driver took my backpack in his car and I was told to get in the car. No information where we are going. At the bus terminal again no information where the bus will leave and when.. A guy came around and told me that he can give me an earlier bus - he kept my ticket as the bus was not from the same company. Unfortunately again no information when we will leave etc. For your info: There was no toilet stop as written in the details.

New, clean and comfortable coach to travel on.
Bus VIP, New Asian Travel (New Asian Travel), Aug 3, 2019
I did end up getting to Ipoh, but the journey was more complicated than I anticipated. I was picked up by a bus at Komtar, which left 15 minutes early and then dropped at a bus station in South Penang for nearly an hour without any explanation. The station staff made sure that I got on the right bus, but it would have been good to know about the changeover of bus.
Bus Express, Sri Maju Group, Jul 29, 2019
Departed late, arrived almost an hour late, which complicated my check in. Anything else was satisfactory.
Bus Business, Transnasional MY, Jul 19, 2019
Helpful, friendly staff and no lines

We took the bus from Georgetown Penang to Ipoh. The trip was pretty good but just know that there is a transfer further south on the island. You will have to get off the bus, go to a ticket counter, wait about 45 minutes and then get on another bus. The bus stop in Ipoh is about 5 miles from old town and so you need to get a grab or taxi or wait for a Public bus.
