How to get from Macau to Kowloon
When travelling from Macau to Kowloon there is very little option available other than taking the ferry from one of the two terminals in Macau across to Kowloon’s terminal. There is a longer, more roundabout route which involves taking the train through China although for practicality you really should take the ferry.
How far is it from Macau to Kowloon?
Kowloon is on the eastern side of the Pearl River Delta while Macau is located some 60km away on the western edge of the estuary. The longer journey by train is approximately 250km.

How to get from Macau to Kowloon by ferry
There are two ferry routes that depart from Macau bound for Kowloon. The first, known as the Outer Terminal is located in the downtown area of the city at Largo do Terminal Maritimo. The check-in facilities and departures are from the 2nd floor. There are 16 sailings each day from 7.05am until 10.05pm. Most hotels provide a free shuttle service to and from the ferry terminal.
The second terminal at Cotai is close to the majority of the casinos in Macau and has fewer sailings to Kowloon, just 8 each day between 10.45am and 7.45pm. You can check-in up to 45 minutes before the time of departure.

If you are travelling in peak periods it might be best to buy your tickets online, they can be bought up to 28 days in advance. There are no trains in Macau but by walking across the border into Zhuhai city you can easily get a train as the station is very close to the border crossing, this of course requires a Chinese visa. From Zhuhai there are no direct trains to Kowloon.
First you will have to take one of the 70 fast trains every day to Guangzhou South Railway Station. This takes about one hour as the trains travel at up to 300kph in China.
From Guangzhou South the train to Kowloon takes from 47 minutes to 71 minutes depending on if it is a stopping train or not. You will have to clear customs at Guangzhou South before boarding the train.
At Kowloon there are good connections to all parts of Hong Kong using the bus or metro.
