Got a text at 845am that my 930 bus was moved up to 9am and I should rush to get there… which I did but then was not picked up until 928 by a taxi to take us to the minivan, who was driven by a man who constantly FaceTimed. Arrived late, as expected.

Dirty, hot bus. Air con was poor. Toilet was overflowing. No water or stops provided as with every other journey we’ve been on in Vietnam. Was a bit chaotic getting on and off the bus which is not what we’ve experienced elsewhere.

Probably the worst bus ride we ever experienced: - bus was more than one hour late for pickup - when it arrived, there were no seats available for us, so we had to sit on the floor, one of us for the whole ride. So we bought two SEATS on a bus, but didn't get any - driver dropped off the locals in Da Nang at their homes, they paid him in the bus - due to this the delay increased to 2:30h - then in Hoi An he dropped off the tourists at one central bus station and not at the hotels - obviously the driving was dangerous and the driver was tired, but that's to be expected I guess
