Passenger reviews out of total 706 passengers who traveled with us on this route.

At 12Go our operators offer three types of service:

Cheap, Fast, Good - but you can usually pick only two of them!
Cheap & Fast won’t be Good. (e.g. buses from/to Khao San Road, local buses or 3rd class trains)
Cheap & Good won’t be Fast. (e.g. VIP trains in Thailand)
Fast & Good won’t be Cheap. (e.g. private limousine services, or VIP24 buses vs Express buses)

Make your choice! Please remember that while we are closely monitoring the services, we are still an agency marketplace. That means we focus on ticketing services and route availability & coverage rather than on the factual seat reclining angle you will get on the bus today.

I have travelled this route many time and like it a lot - but last time it was not nice at all. First I did not know that you could be picked up at your hotel in Hanoi so I wait in an hour at the bus office (the starting point) after rhat a van picked me up and drive me around in Hanoi in 1,5 hour before I went on the bus. After that the guy screamed that we could not sit where we like - only what he decided. We only stoped one quick time for toilet - and therefore we arrived in Ha Giang 1 hour erly - of course good but tricky because the bus did not stoped at the adress it said on the homepage. So I got problem to get the person who should pick me up to find me in Ha Giang in a rain storm as well:-)

Very rude organizer. He would stop when my boyfriend was gonna throw up. Really not pleasant to be stuck with vomit in a bag for 3 hours

Booked the VIP limo and paid for three seats (2 people plus a seat for bags at their recommendation). Got a message the night before asking us to come early which was fine. Originally it was 7:15am but for moved to 5:45am. We thought at least we get there earlier! Waited at the pick up point where a mini van arrived and didn’t seem to know who we were or understand. But that’s fine! We were able to communicate back. The van ended up taking us to the bus depot where we were directed to go onto a large bus. We showed the people our ticket and a picture of the limo van we had booked. He said it had already left. We were very overwhelmed and confused by all these changes but we got on the bus which was at least comfortable. But not what we had paid for. We paid 3 x 345k vnd for the seats, but we ended up only needed two seats on the big bus as luggage went under the bus. Communication was prompt enough. They apologised for the bus as apparently the van broke down. It’s just disappointing that we paid more for the van and didn’t get it. But, we got there in the end - even if it ended up being closer to 9 hours rather than the original estimated 6.

They put us inside a van a drove in circles around Hanoi for 1 hour and a half before getting to the bus, without explaining anything. It was disappointing.

Smooth trip from Hanoi to Ha Giang. Had the 7 person sprinter van all to ourselves (sure beats the sleeper busses for only $5 more per ticket). Friendly and professional driver. Booked online and had constant communication with the company via WhatsApp. Will be using this service again.

The company seemed to have forgotten us, so when we showed up at the pick up point we caused a bit of a panic in the office. We then had to chase down the pick up van and caught it 10 minutes rapid walk from the pick up point. ••• The bus driver drove uncomfortably fast, made some very questionable takeovers and honked almost non stop. I would recommend wearing ear plugs. ••• The crew on the bus never asked us where we where going, so when we discovered that they had passed our destination with 2,5 km we hurried to tell them. First they told us they would bring us back, but then they apparently changed their mind and just dropped us off where we were. Luckily we found a kind local guy who called a taxi for us - as both Uber and Grab doesn't function in Ha Giang. ••• The only nice thing I have to say about the trip is about the bus itself. It was new and the seats were very comfortable. ••• We were picked up together with passengers going on the luxury bus. They were dropped off at their bus first and then we were driven to the sleeper bus. The luxury bus arrived approximately 2 hours before us.
